Introduction

Hey guys, I am TTGOz, a Silver Level Jungler, Mid, and top lane player! Yi was one of my first champions and has a special place in my heart still to this day.

I decided I'd put together a guide on how I play my Yi, so enjoy!

Runes

The runes are pretty straight forward

[item= Greater Mark of Magic Penetration]] Yi really benefits from this, or AP Yi anyways. Gives him extra damage from his spells.

Pretty basic rune for any champion, don't need this but it's good if you don't build tanky Yi like me. :)

Gives you the early game ability power/damage =D.

Quintessense of Ability Power Gives you the early game damage/ability power again.

Masteries

Not sure how to explain this... you can use anything for Offense aslong as you have Magic Buffs and Ability Power masteries set, defense is pretty straight forward, I added the Utility mastery for faster recall because Master Yi is relatively slow early game, even though he is fast late game.

Items

Core Items=

Rabadons, Rylai's, Trinity Force or Hextech, Deathfire grasp.

Why Rabadon's is so great on Yi: It gives him 120 AP, aswell as more hidden AP with it's passive.

Rylai's: Gives him tankyness, also slows targets down in team fights with his Q(s) and other abilities.

Trinity Force: Gives him more burst, his Q + Sheen is alot of Damage, Phage gives him tankyness, and Zeal gives him Critical Strike and Attack Speed.

Hextech: Ooof... gives him; Lifesteal, Spell Vamp, ability power, and attack damage, kind of like Trinity force. :)

Deathfire Grasp: The 100 AP and CDR.

Skill Sequence

Alpha Strike: 1, 4, 5, 7, 8 (Max first.)
Meditate: 2, 9, 10, 12, 13 (Max 2nd.)
Wuju Style: 3, 14, 15, 17, 18 (Max last.)
Highlander: 6, 11, 16 (Max third.)
