Following this build wont make you win every game you play, but it will definitely help you win more games, and give the enemy team a pain.

Brand is best 1v1 so try to get mid as often as possible. Brand is strong 1v1 on 3v3 aswell, personally i don't like to play him 3v3 since Brand and any other caster easily gets focused. Due to that you're forced to either ghost or flash in every fight or different situation. For the people who like to play caster 3v3 that's up to them.

Not going solo lane with brand can work out aswell, getting the enemy champions into a open area does not occur often, the harrasment on a lane is the best part with Brand on a lane.

Buying Sight Ward with Brand will save you. you'll see enemy champions missing approaching you. and for some stupid reason sometimes you just dont notice those cares you get from your team.

so to make it easier to anticipate getting ganked when playing Brand buy Sight Ward and place them accordingly to the picture will make it safer.

The red dots represent the sight wards that will warn you from possible ganks
The green dot is a ward that is good to have if someone in the enemy team is a jungler. suprising him while taking blue buff with low hp will give you a swift and easy kill.

So im just gonna cut the talking and basically go to the things you really need to know as; How to play him, what to buy and his ups and downs.

Brand is a fairly new champion and easy to play if you understand him. Brand is very squishy and vulnerable, that's why most people get defense items early with him as which is good ofc, but in this build you wont need hp since maximizing your damage early on will give you the items for sustainability much faster along with huge amounts of damage.

Brand spells light his targets ablaze, dealing 2% of their maximum health in magic damage per second for 4 seconds. abilities becomes extra strong if they're cast on an ablazed target.

This spell can change a situation in seconds. try to draw your enemy into the open to get a clear shot. use this ability when the enemy still is Ablazed so it will stun the enemy champion for 2 seconds.

This is your main damage source. After stunning your enemy with use this ability for a 100% chance to hit and to deal 25% more damage with it.

This ability is used mainly for ablazing the target first of all before stunning the target with , and for dealing some damage.

This is your ultimate. this must be one of the best abilities in the game. a well placed burst combined with pyroclasm is insane. you can win a 3v1 or 2v1 situation. especially if it's in the open where no minions are around.

Drawing your enemies to the open will give you a huge advantage. try to draw him just infront of his minions then ablaze the target with stun the target with use for a more precise hit and more damage, finally when he is trying to flee through the minion waves finish him off with it will probably bounce from minion to him a couple of times enough to kill him. if not use ingite to for a certain kill combined with the 2% damage from ablaze.


Playing Brandwith this build is all based on how YOU play him. keeping your distance is a must if playing this build. since your gonna be squishy in the start, always remember to stay away far enough to get use Conflagration on the target then stunning with Sear

Runes:
Greater Mark of Magic Penetration x9
Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration x9
Greater Glyph of Scaling Ability Power x9
Greater Quintessence of Ability Power x3

The selection of runes can be whatever you want. i like to maximize my damage in the start with Brand, so i go with ap runes and magic penetration along with some MP5 runes for mana sustainability.

Getting HP runes will work fine as well.

Items:

x2 will give you a good start for staying in the lane for a few levels.

Other items in the start:

The Dorian's will give you more hp, with the mana reg and ap this is a very good first item.
Amplifying tome is that extra ap in the start. buying it will grant you almost 40ap on lvl 1. with your runes ofc.

First time back: depending on how far you've come now you should at least be able to buy

Second time back: Depending on amounts of killed champions and minions you should be able to afford and

Now building your will take some time but when you finish it your ability power will increase a lot! depending on how many stacks you have, it give you insane damage!

will provide for defense and sustainability so Brand won't be so squishy lategame. before getting these two items buying is a smart thing to do so you wont need to recall so often.

this item will allow Brand to slow your enemies by 30% with your abilities. thanks to the slow, the stun from wont be that important when chaising other champions.

And these two items will provide you with endless bursts and continued spellvamp for the rest of the game. usually at this point the game is already over.

If you're getting focused, not gaining any kills or just having a hard time surviving. try getting a defense item, instead of getting

The reason to why most people buy a rylai's early with brand can be many things. keeping a good distance is the key to winning with brand. at least that's what i think.

anyways if you feel like getting defense items earlier, i'd go for a

After buying either or

Stacking a mejai's soulstealer while increasingy our health for a bigger chance of not losing stacks comes very handy.

buying a rabadons will keep you at a good damage level, though it will cost more and take longer time to buy.

Most summoner spells work fine with Brand




What makes ghost so good is it's possibility to help you defensively and offensively. In some situations you might need to run away to survive, ghost gives you that movement boost that will make you uncatchable and avoiding skill-shots gets easier. Ghost can also give you the right aount of running speed to pursue the champion you're after, just to get that last bar down on the enemy champion. sometimes the hidden passive Blaze drops that last hp.

Other summoner spells that work great with Brand

Summoner spells of personal choise works fine aswell as Heal, Clarity, Clairvoyance, Cleanse

For you who play mid and prefer to be at turret as often as possible can always choose

Teleport is also very good to move around lanes to help someone that's low on hp or just being able to get to the right spot at the right time as quickly as possible.

Mirror with Brand and all other champions isn't what you'd want. it doesn't happen that often with brand but when it does you gotta have something up your sleeve.

letting the enemy bran do his first move is the best way to defeat a mirror. let him attack you first, the enemy Brand will probably try to stun you, and by doing so he will need to get you into the open. and that's exactly what you should do. let enemy Brand ablaze you somehow, then when he is gonna stun you with make a unexpected move. ablaze and stun(they usually dont manage to react when you counter attack so fast. after finishing your burst, either let him go or ignite and pursue with ghost to finish him off.
