Introduction

Hi everyone, I´m DarkForcer1998 and this Guide is about Teemo Toplane. I worked hard to make this Guide the best i could, and I would appreciate any and all feedback that you guys may provide. Teemo is a funny champion, because he is one of the easiest Champions to learn, but is strong and annoying aswell.

Without further ado, I present to you, my dear readers, my Teemo guide. I put a fair amount of effort into this guide, so I do implore you to reconsider any downvotes pending the actual trial and testing of my guide that I imagine you are planning to do. And above all, thank you for taking the time to read this Teemo guide.

Runes

With Teemo it´s only viable to run one way with the Runes. We want Sorcery, to buff our Abilities and Resources. We take Summon Aery as key rune, because with Teemo you can poison someone with your E - Toxic Shot, and if he is near enough to you, you can pick up fast enough that it hits again. As Greater Rune, we want to take Manaflow Band, so that we can use one ability without losing any Mana, every 75 seconds. As small Rune we want to take Celerity because we get extra Movement Speed, and Bonus AP based on our Movement Speed. AS last small Rune we take, either Scorch for better Poke with our E in Early Game, or Gathering Storm for scaling into the late game.

Summoner Spells

Flash: You can use Flash, to either get out of a Fight easily or escape your Lane Opponent, or you can use it to flash after someone who wants to escape or over a wall to get faster to your enemy when he is low HP.

Teleport: You can choose Teleport as second Summoner, if you want to get to lane faster, teleport the other Lanes and assist them in fights, or to defend a Tower fast. You can choose Teleport for getting more Farm, or roaming to other lanes and assisting them.
Ignite: You can choose Ignite as second Summoner, to get some early game Kills, and finish off enemies with low HP. If you want to get fed Early or if you fight against someone with much heals (for Example Vladimir or Maokai)

Ability Explanation

  • Guerrilla Warfare: This passive makes Teemo invisible when he stands still for 1.5 seconds. In Bushes, Teemo can move around. When Teemo leaves the Invisibility, he gets 40% Bonus Attack Speed for 3 seconds.
  • Blinding Dart (Q): This skill is your key as Teemo to annoy your enemy. It does 80/125/170/215/260(+ 80% AP) Magic Damage, and blinds your Enemy for 1,5/1,75/2/2,25/2,5 seconds. Blinding an enemy prevents him from autoattacking.
  • Move Quick (W): This skill grants Teemo passive 10/14/18/22/26% Movement Speed if he hasnt got attacked by a Champion or a Tower for 5 seconds. If you activate the Spell the Bonus Movement Speed gets doubled to 20/28/36/44/52%. Use this Spell to either engage your enemy, or run away from a fight.
  • toxic shot (E): This Spell is what Teemo makes so annoying. Teemos Autoattacks poison the Enemy for 4 seconds, dealing 10/20/30/40/50(+ 30% AP) on hit. The poison itself deals 6/12/18/24/30(+ 10% AP). This Ability makes Teemo such a toxic Champion. If you dont kill the enemy in a fight, there is a high Chance that your Poison is able to kill them.
  • Noxious Trap (R): This Ability makes Teemo supertoxic. Teemo collects a Mushroom every 34/28/22 seconds. He can carry 3 Mushrooms with him. When Teemo activates his R, he places a Mushroom at the place of the Cursor. The Mushrooms are getting invisible after 1 second. They stay for 5 minutes. If an enemy walks over an Mushroom, the Mushroom activates, slowing the enemy for 30/40/50%. The Mushroom deals 200/325/450 (+ 50% AP) over 4 seconds. Mushrooms have 6 HP. Ranged Attacks deal 2 Damage, Melee Attacks 3 Damage. Place the Shrooms in the Bushes to prevent getting ganked, place it at the Herald, or Dragon Pit to get Vision of them, and see when enemies want to do them, or place them while you are in a Fight, to damage your enemies.

Items

Item Sequence

Nashor's Tooth 3000
Liandry's Torment 3000
Sorcerer's Shoes 1100
Hextech Gunblade 3000
Void Staff 3000
Guinsoo's Rageblade 3000
We want Sorcerer's Shoes for the Magic Penetration it gives us, to let our Abilities make more Damage.

We want to buy Nashor's Tooth as first item. It gives our Autoattacks more Damage, the more AP we have. In Combination with our E, this Item is super strong for Teemo. It makes CSing a lot easier, and gives us a strong early lane.

As second Item, we want to buy Liandry's Torment. This item seems like it is made for Teemo. It gives us Bonus Damage over Time on our E Toxic Shot and on our R Noxious Trap. The Burn Damage in Combination with the Poison is insane.

As third Item, we buy Hextech Gunblade. It gives us HP for any Damage we deal, and it gives us AP and AD. This Item is super good on Teemo, cause our Auto Attacks gets so much stronger, and we get Lifesteal aswell. The slow with its active is really good aswell to make it harder for enemies to escape from a fight.

As fourth Item, we need a Void Staff. If you fight against Tanks, buy this Item earlier. You will need it. Buy this Item only, if the Enemies have much MR. The Magic penetration is percentage, so if they dont buy much MR, the item wont help you much. If you play against Champions like Galio or Maokai you need an Voidstaff earlier.

As last item, we take Guinsoo's Rageblade for Bonus Attack Speed, AD and AP. This makes our Autoattacks even more stronger, and gives us some more on hit Damage. This Item is very expensive, thats why we take it as last.

An other Option is Zhonya's Hourglass. You can buy this if you dont need a Void Staff or if you dont want a Guinsoo's Rageblade. If you fight against Assasins take this Item. You will survive much longer, and can go invulnerable.

As last Option you can replace Void Staff or Guinsoo's Rageblade with an Banshee's Veil if you fight against a Mage, or an AP champion. You can block the first Spell of your enemy, and you will be able to survive much more AP Damage.

Teamfights

In teamfights, Teemo should stay back, trying to blind the AD Carry with his Blinding Dart. Try to place some Noxious Trap on the lane they are pushing. Your Goal is to splitpush, so avoid getting into Teamfights and if you have to fight, stay back.

Summary

Teemo is an extremely fun champion to play, and is not hard to learn. The only thing you should try to learn is Shroom placement. If you have any comments, questions or queries about my guide, please don't hesitate to ask any questions.

Upvote if you liked the guide, and only downvote if you feel it is absolutely necessary. If you do downvote, please inform me of why, and perhaps I can rectify any mistakes I have made.

Happy shrooming with Teemo
