Learned this from Matt. Because his passive counters your passive, do your best to limit trades and play careful around him.

Champion Build Guide
Rune Choices and Items:
Grasp: The reason we choose this is because all of the synergy it provides with your health. It does 4% of your maximum health as bonus damage, heals your for 2% of your maximum health (which will grow quickly), and the best part is it permanently increases your health by 5. Now, that doesn't seem like a lot, but 5 health 100 times is 500 health, which can make a huge difference
Shield Bash: This combines with your W super well. when you use your W, not only will you get your initial 20% bonus health + X shield, but it will also give you 1-10 bonus armour and magic resist, and your next attack will 8.5% shield amount + 1.5% maximum health + X damage, and combining that with your Q will cause that damage to spike and you to have the option to continue the trade, or get out of there with mostly full health.
Conditioning: This once again stacks well with your W passive. when you kill minions, you get bonus armor and magic resist, up to 30 extra. The best part is when you combine the last part with conditioning. After 9 minutes and 150 minions, you will receive 39 bonus armour and magic resist, and 15% increase to BOTH. This will scale really quickly.
Overgrowth: Ah yes. It seems everything goes with your W passive, but after 120 minions, you will have 360 extra health, as well as an additional 3.5% maximum health. Combine with everything else, and you will live forever.
Tenacity: Do I really have to say anything about this? Of course this works well on a tank that can resist slows with his Q. There isn't much math to it, other then you gaining up to a total of 30%.
Triumph: I will say that you can swap this with last stand, depending on how you feel. If you're confident in your skill or if you're Matt, I'd recommend taking triumph, as it will be rewarding against those close call fights after you restore 12% of your maximum health. Other then that last stand works well because in fights, you will get close to dying, but with last stand, you can have that extra damage to help you push though the fight.
