Thx for your comments.

You'r right about the Banshee's Veil, it will be a better defensive items, even though it's a bit more expensive, but not that much more than the Locket. The Locket was sweet for the HP-Mana it gave for the price. Also, the mana regen was nice on it. -20 mana cost on every Volley arrow is sweet. the -10% Cooldowns is nice too, but doesn't seem to stack here. Since its function was mainly defensive, the Banshee's Veil will accomplish that with more efficiency, I think.

The Infinity Edge, it sure looks good, but it cost 1000 gold more than the Black Cleaver. I can add it, but I'm afraid I won't be able to aford it often. I'll test both and see how the Infinity Edge comes out compared to the Black Cleaver in the course lenght of a game. Meanwhile, I'll leave the Cleaver on the built until i get completely sold to the idea. I need to put more games in my experience bag to do so.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Infinity Edge definitel > Black Cleaver for a crit build.

And you'd probably want to dumb down the Locket into a Catalyst. Locket's gone, but you could build a Banshee's Veil for end-game; would also mean you'd be able to build the suggested Infinity Edge more quickly. A Banshee's Veil is still the universally most epic defensive item in the game.

I think I agree with Chandiah. Infinity Edge is a must if you're making a crit champion. You say you want the Black Cleaver for the raw damage it does, but isn't it a better idea to focus down on what you made the guide about, crit. Plus, with the IE you get more damage than you would with the Black Cleaver. Is there much reasoning for the Innervating Locket? I know it helps with HP and Mana, but if you dropped that, it would be much easier to afford the all so important Infinity Edge.

(Outdated reply, because I made some adjustment to the initial Build version)

Thanks for this first comment Chandiah : )

I'll think about your recommendation and I will try to test it in game, to see how I like your and my version.

For the pleasure of the discussion however, here is how I will defend my view.

Lets start with the Infinity Edge. True it is an awesome item, but I would not expect less for something that cost 4080 gold. By the time you can afford it, like I said, the match might be already finish. One could argue to start right away with the Inf Edge, that is certainly an interesting and defendable idea, however, that would also mean to leave up behind the side and passive effects specific to Youmuu's Ghostblade and Executioner's Calling (4722g for both). Also, and I want to stress that matter, I will benefit of the effect of these two later items early in game. With this build, you will get Youmuu's Ghostblade very fast.

If your match last an eternity, you can always get Inf Edge in the current build, at the end, in exchange of the Cloak of Agility. I could put the Inf Edge right into this build, instead of that cloak to display a nice stats chart, but one could wounder when he could afford all those shinny items in the time range of a real match.

Now the more complicated and interesting case of the Phantom Dancer. More complicated, because I think there might not be one good and true conclusion to that proposition. Though, I'll need to try it my self, because it is effectively a very tempting and interesting alternative to The Black Cleaver.

Again, I'll defend the idea of the Black Cleaver (BC) over the PhD as follow. In though situation, I can benefit already of a +20% speed for 4 sec with the Youmuu's Ghostblade. That passive +15% speed on the PhD is certainly very interesting, but in all build we have to make choices and sacrifice :P

The main advantage with the Black Cleaver is obvious, raw physical damage. When I fall for the BC, it was to give to my build some punch in damage, once I was satisfied with the Crt % obtained. I wanted to balance my build a bit instead of putting all my eggs into the Crt %. I wanted, also, to improve the base damage, to also improve the dam on a Critical hit. I could do so by improving the Critical dam or by improving the flat physical dam. I choose the later.

So, these raw physical damage are important within this current build, because flat physical damage will boost your Critical damage range as well. With Armor penetration bonus as well on the BC, this improve your dam scale even more.

One interesting factor for the PhD that stand out of my science is the massive bonus in attack speed. I don't really know if it could match in DPS the damage high value I would get with the BC. If the PhD make more DPS, still, the BC will certainly give you a high damage score on your hit. In short, with the BC, I go for the upper cut, instead of toying with the jabs :P

Since the PhD is in the same price bracket of the BC, the time factor is not in play here.

All and all, PhD for BC is certainly a pretty good and nice alternative for this build. I'll be glad to hear other comments and game experiences with these options.

The Phantom Dancer was made for Ashe. 40% AS, Movement Speed which Ashe desperately needs, AND for your sake, a 30% Crit Chance.
And no Crit build is complete without an Infinity Edge. It's just a fact. 250% Crits are too valuable to give up.

With those 2 items, you get 50% Crit Chance and along with your runes, that makes 63%.
Your whole build is 73%.
Maybe you could pass without the PD, but replace the Cleaver with an Inf Edge. Your Crit Chance would be approx 95% and the damage bonus is ridiculous. You already have armor penetration through the Youmou's, so I'd say in this case, Inf Edge > Black Cleaver.

Bear in mind this is my opinion.
