Darius is the champion who leads the charge. He takes the damage for the team but note Darius is not a full on tank and may be easily defeated if not done correctly.

Darius is great because of his Hook to lead the fight, If u catch an enemy out of position
" flash - hook combo will easy take the enemy down with your teammates behind you, This will lead to a 5v4 which will be an insured victory or a free baron kill.

As you can see the title explains everything.

Ranked game may defer from a normal game playing as Darius. Please note it is more difficult to carry a ranked game then it is with normals. It may be easy and fun to carry your team in a normals game with 20 kills it may not be as easy in a ranked game.

In ranked games there are different roles for a reason. There is a support in a ranked game not because someone has to buy the wards but supports are built and created to have the same power late game without any farm/cs. A carry can buy wards and exhaust for the ADC so why does a support champion need to do it? ADC's without cs/kills they are unutterably useless.

Darius in a team fight with 20 kills may not be as useful as an Darius with 5 kills and an ADC with 15 kills. This is because like i said before ADC's are made to position themselves correctly without taking any damage to apply the most damage as possible.

Darius in the other hand is not a DPS his auto attacks are useless in teamfights, soon after his q his 20 kills he had will be gone.
