Darius
You will win longer fights but he will win shorter trades. Ult him when he doesn't have any passive stacks or you will get creamed. Don't fight him pre level 6 after level 6 you can beat him in your ult.
Akali
One of the worst matchups for mordekaiser. Her high mobility makes it hard to hit her with your Q and she can also hide in her W inside your ult. Try to ult her when she uses her W and ask for ganks because her ult dashes make it hard to hit her.
Tryndamere
His high mobility makes it hard to hit him with your Q.You don't want to fight him when he has fury because he will eat you. Poke him with your Q and ult him when he is low and try to kite him when he ults ghost is good in this matchup.
Lucian
A difficult matchup for most toplaners. Lucian is annoying to deal with. Once he gets Cutlass, you will basically have no hope of beating him. Go plated steel caps into Rylai if you want a chance of beating him. If you land a pull, you can ult and if you hit your Q's you can kill him assuming that he hasn't poked you down hard. Just give up the farm, stand back and farm up. Level 6 you have the advantage in fights. Ghost or Ignite can work well into this lane if you are good as they let you turn a single mistake from him into a lead which you can snowball. But I'd just play it safe until I got my items. You are more useful in team fights anyway so just make sure he does not get fed and you should be good.
Vayne
Vayne is tricky you can kill her only after you get your ult. When you ult her stay away from walls so she doesn't stun you buy plated steel caps and a bramble vest if it isn't enough. If you land your Q's in your ult you will squish her and kill her. Play safe pre 6.
Aatrox
He outranges you with his Q. But you win all-ins unless he is fed. When you get to level 6 ult after he ults so you take his ult stats. Bramble vest and ignite are very useful against his healing.
Fiora
Try to not let her hit her vitals rush bramble vest and plated steel caps try to poke her with Q's. You can beat her after level 6 just be careful that she doesn't parry your ult she can completely negate it. Use your W to negate her vital damage and land your Q's and you will kill her. She will outscale you tho so don't 1v1 her late game.
Gangplank
He outranges you and can poke you with Q's. Play safe level 1 and when you hit level 2 you can try to pull him in for some poke damage. a smart Gangplank will have barrels loaded up everywhere to slow you down and use his passive movement speed to walk away. You need Rylai's in this lane, as Protobelt is just not good enough on its own. Farm up and try to make sure you don't int the kills. He can use his orange to walk away from your Ultimate but you still keep the stats from it. It's hard but if you can keep him in a fight, you will edge a victory out.
Heimerdinger
This matchup is going to be hell for you. For the first 5 levels, you just need to sit back and make sure not to take damage. If you can land a pull, your combo will do a lot of damage to him, as he is innately a squishy champion but trying to do so will leave you vulnerable. Just make sure you survive until level 6. Give up CS, conserve HP, and try to passively exist in your lane. On the bright side, your ultimate changes the entire dynamic. His turrets and etc won't be around to help him in the Death Realm. So look to Ult him either AS he throws out his stun grenade, or as he puts down his super turret with his ultimate. This way, you will cancel one of his major abilities which will allow you to just walk up and murder him with little resistance.
Pantheon
Pre-level 6 he is a nightmare he can poke you with Q's and use his E to disengage play safe pre 6. You hard beat him in the death realm. Rush plated steel caps and you should squash him.
Kled
Kled is a big threat as his early game is much better than yours. Not to mention how if he gets a kill, he will be able to snowball hard. Don't die to him pre-6. Just wait out the lane. Rush plated steel caps. Level 6, you will be able to beat him because Kled has a lot of HP, leading to you getting a decent chunk of stats from him with your ultimate. Ping like crazy when he is missing because a good Kled can take over the game and carry with his ultimate. Don't let him E through you over and over again and outplay your Qs. If you miss anything you are dead. This lane isn't forgiving
Quinn
She has a shorter auto-attack range than other ranged champs. Rush bramble and plated steel caps. You will win hard in the death realm if you land your E and your Q's. I'd advise against doing a full combo if you are pushed up, as she will headbutt and kite you back to your turret while attacking you. You will be more useful late game and in team fights than her.
Sett
This matchup is in your favor. Don't get too close to him because he will E you and out damage, you pre 6. Try to poke him with your Q's. You will cream him in your ult, try to avoid his W sweet spot. I'd advise rushing plated steel caps. You will out scale him so after level 6 you will always win 1v1's unless he is fed or has more items than you.
Gnar
An annoying matchup but it's manageable. Try to play passively pre-level 6 and don't let him auto you too much because he will chunk you down fast. After level 6 try to ult him after he uses his jump and you will kill him.If he gets his mega gnar form stay away from walls so he doesn't stun you.
Jayce
Jayce can potentially be annoying but is doable nonetheless. Tabi Rush along with Resolve is a must. You simply have to make sure to not take too much poke. Try to dodge his skill shot that chunks you out. You may fight him by your quick passive combo but he can knock you back and kite you to shit so be careful. You win all-ins but his poke is deadly if you let him do it for free. As usual, you win super hard in ult so if all else fails, wait till 6 and then bash his head in.
Ornn
His short trades are better than yours try to poke him with your Q.You can win all-ins early if make sure he doesn't proc his brittle on you. This requires you to sidestep his flame breath. If it hits you with the last tick, just walk away. He will chunk you out hard with that 1 auto. Level 6 you crush him, ult after he ults so his ult won't be inside the death realm and you will kill him easily.
Renekton
Try to not fight him pre 6 and poke with your Q's. If he E's to you just W his W and slap him with a Q and walk off. I'd advise taking ignite and buying bramble to help against his Q healing. After level 6 you will destroy him in your ult. If possible try to ult after her ults so you gain his ult stats. You will outscale him so if you fall behind farm up and get your items.
Riven
She can kite you very well but it should be your goal to make sure she doesn't get to do it for free. Activate your Ultimate early. Land your Qs. Don't eat a full Q combo from her as this will be very bad. You win in your ultimate and you win all-ins. But I wouldn't try to all in her as she can escape very easily. Overall, just Q spam poke and save your E. Use it to get her back into the fight and stop her from escaping.
Rumble
Don't eat a full proc of flamethrower from him for free. Don't get poked down too much. You win pre-6 but he can poke much better than you. Just be careful. A little bit of MR is nice but a blasting wand goes a long way in fights. Post-6, Ult him after he uses his ultimate as this will remove it, letting you dominate him. Overall just don't eat too much poke and don't miss your abilities.
Shen
A skilled matchup a good Shen player will be able to chunk you down. Don't stay in between him and his spirit blade as his empowered autos do a lot of damage. Try to ult him or E him when he ults so he doesn't get to teleport to his teammate they will still get the shield but Shen won't be there. You can demolish him in your ult try to W his Q auto attacks and you will kill him easily.
Singed
Basically, a Singed wants to kill your minions asap. He will either get behind your turret to try to proxy or he will wait in the first bush for your first minions to come and then leave a poison trail that will kill all of your minions. What you need to do is to walk your minions to safety. Check your jungle so that he does not try a cheese proxy and once your minions are at your last turret, walk ahead of them so that Singed cannot leave a poison trail on them. Don't play his game. Don't chase him. Ghost helps in this lane. If you can get him to stay in lane normally, then he has no hope of doing anything as if he walks up you just throw your Q's at him. You can easily kill him in the death realm if you can catch him that is. and let him eat a full combo if he walks up. Don't let him fling you into his turret. That WILL kill you. You are more useful than him in team fights so the only thing he is good at is being annoying.
Kennen
He is just annoying. He is no real threat. Kennen has poke but it does so little damage that you have to literally allow him to hit you for 10 seconds straight for the trade to be lost. But the thing is, you will have a very hard time reaching him. Even if you pull him, he will just stun you and E out, putting himself at an advantageous range. Rylai's is great and so is a Protobelt rush into this lane. Level 6, you beat him super hard so just get CS, trade your Q's with him, and then bash his head in.
Teemo
Teemo is annoying his Q stops your auto attacks which stops you from getting your passive early into the fight he will spam mushrooms everywhere so buy oracle lens so you don't step in them. If you pull him, ult and you should be able to kill him if he doesn't kite you out too much. Mercury's Treads are good in this matchup. He is pretty much useless in team fights all he can do is spam mushrooms all over the map and pray that an enemy steps in them. But he is a pain in the ass to deal with pre 6.
Vladimir
His early game is a bit weak but he is very good at playing safe. Ignite works well into this lane as you have no cheap anti-heal option. And a bramble rush is out of the question. If you land a pull you can get a nice trade onto him but he will just heal it back up. You may attempt to chip away at him like this and kill him with ignite. You can also try to fight him at level 6. You straight-up beat him to level 6. He has no room to kite and is just free food. If you have ignited in your ultimate he is just a free kill. If he plays too safe and you can't land your E, just farm up and prepare for Teamfights. Try to be more useful than him by ulting the highest damage champion.
Wukong
Wukong is a pretty easy matchup and you scale better than him. Try to poke him with Q's and if he steps up to farm punish him. Be careful not to ult his clone as this will fully negate your ult and put it on cooldown. Plated steel caps are helpful.
Illaoi
Illaoi is a very easy matchup if she E's you just walk out and you will barely take any damage. Try to kill her tentacles. Once you hit level 6 ult after she ults to completely negate her ultimate. If you don't she can ult inside the death realm and kill you.
Jax
Try not to get stunned by his E because he will damage you and Q out try to E him back when he tries to stun you. If he jumps on you, you will win longer trades. When you get your ult you can destroy him in the death realm try to save your E for when he tries to Q away. He will outscale you HARD. If he gets 2 items and is the same level as you he will be able to kill you. But you are more helpful in team fights. Just try to get ahead of him and he is free food for you.
Kayle
Kayle is usually an annoying laner for immobile champions like Mordekaiser but Morde has higher ranger so you can pretty much lock down the lane completely. Pre-6 she is free food. Post-6 she is also free food. The only reason the lane is difficult is due to the urgency of you having to gather a lead. If you don't stomp Kayle, she will outscale EVERYTHING super hard and take over the entire game. You need to gather a lead on her early. Land every CS, punish every mistake, get every kill.
Dr. Mundo
Mundo is a very hard matchup. Pre-level 6 you can beat him but he will most likely keep his distance and farm with cleaver. After level 6 you can't kill him due to his ult healing. Take ignite and buy bramble to try to negate some of his healing and you might be able to kill him if you don't miss too many Q's.
Camille
Camille is not the easiest of lanes. She can be quite slippery at times but she is no issue overall. You straight up beat her in all-ins, if you land your Qs. She is able to dodge your things with her superior movement speed but this shouldn't be an issue for when it comes to your Q. You should be looking to save your E for when she uses her hook shot. If you are fast enough, you can cancel it in the middle of the hook shot, guaranteeing her death. Overall, you are free to do whatever you want in this matchup. Just don't be stupid and you should be good to go.
Cho'Gath
Cho Gath is not a problem for Mordekaiser he doesn't really stand a chance you beat him in all-ins pre 6. After level 6 your ult does wonders as he is just a big ball of stats for you to steal from
Garen
The Garen matchup is in your favor. You outrange him heavily which lets you poke him down, and if the fights last long enough, you will win all ins. The bad part comes in the form of him being WAY better in shorter trades. His Q and E do tons of damage and his W can negate your Q damage if he uses it properly. Early on, you shouldn't be fighting him for extended periods of time. Only using your Q to poke him down. If you are capable, the combo of e->q and then backing off will be very strong as you will continuously chunk him down. Land every single last him and make sure he suffers for every CS he takes. Know that Garen with ignite has a pretty solid shot at killing you at level 6 so be careful of that. You insta win the lane once you get Rylai's though, provided you haven't died to him many times already.
Irelia
Irelia is an easy matchup. She can dash around to minions and dodge your Q's but she still wont stand much of a chance. Just don't fight her when she has full stacks because she WILL chunk you down and possibly kill you. Try to dodge her E.If you get a pull on her Q her before she dashes away. Once you get your ult try to ult after she does so her ult won't be in the death realm if you don't it won't be a problem. You should still be able to kill her easily but if you step on her ult you will be slowed and she will escape.
Nasus
Nasus is an easy early game but will DESTROY you late game. Try to freeze the wave near your tower and negate as many stacks from him as possible. If he gets 300+ stacks he will kill you. Once you hit level 6 start bullying him. Pull him In and wait for him to ult first before you do so you gain some of his ult stats. If you land your Q's and he doesn't have enough stacks you will kill him. Save your E for when he slows you with his W so you can pull him in so he doesn't escape.
Yasuo
He is similar to the Irelia matchup. With minions, he can dash around and dodge your minions with ease. You do NOT want to fight him at levels 1-2 as he wins straight up. From level 3 you can look for longer fights if you land your Q's but the minions allow him to retaliate VERY easily. Once you get to level 6, he is just done. Unlike other champions, there is nothing he can do to beat you in the death realm. You can try to play the lane out aggressively and you will win if you are the better player but for a guaranteed win, just wait until level 6 and just destroy him. You won't need it but plated steel caps are great against him.
Gwen
Gwen doesn't really stand a chance before she gets 2 items. She will outscale you so try to build up a lead. Try to dodge or W her fully stacked Q's if you don't she can possibly kill you. Once you get your ult you can straight up squash her. She will beat you if she has 2 items or more that is if you haven't gained a lead on her. Basically, she is free food for Mordekaiser.
Yone
Yone is a big threat as he can E and take short trades and chunk you down. Try to play safe and farm up he will outscale you so try to build up a lead. I suggest rushing bramble, plated steel caps, and even seekers arm guard if that isn't enough, he can kill you in the death realm if you don't hit your Q's but if you do you will easily kill him.
Yorick
Yorick's kit is very weird to fight as he isn't really coded like the rest of the game. His Maiden doesn't work like other spawns and his wall is buggy and breaks the game which is what most Yorick players rely on. If he traps you in his cage and lands his skill shots onto you and has ghouls up, you can say goodbye to 60% of your HP. Just get the hell out of there. Don't stand and fight. You WILL die. Fortunately, level 6 is much easier for you. You want to bait him into using his cage and his ultimate first. Once he does that, you will ult him and remove BOTH out of the equation. He will have no annoying ghouls, no maiden to save him, and no way to delay his death. With proper usage of your ultimate, this lane is a piece of cake. Even if you somehow lose, you also outscale him so don't panic.
Malphite
Easy matchup. He can be annoying with his Q spam so take D.Shield. Other than that you just straight up beat him. He is Anti AD. You are AP. With Rylai's, he has NO HOPE of beating you. Not to mention how he can basically never kill you. Bully him out. Take every CS. Poke him down and kill him. Level 6, you can just mercilessly ult, walk up and just put this meathead out of his misery.
Maokai
Similar to any tank matchup, you just crush him. Ult him as he ults because this will basically just make his ultimate meaningless. Not that you need to. He stands no chance ever. He is good at sustaining through his passive and cheesing damage through his saplings but when the cards are on the table, he can't stand up to you. Rylai into Lyandries and then just kill him over and over again.
Poppy
Much like other tanks, Poppy can't do too much into you. In order to participate in lane, she has to walk up to your melee range. If you use your pull properly, you can just kill her over and over again. She can't farm or do anything in lane. If she somehow cheeses a kill, don't worry, as level 6 you can just win the lane back and destroy her in the death realm. Tabis if she beats you but she REALLY shouldn't.
Sion
Free food. Your pull cancels his Q. Your ult stops him from escaping with his ult. He does no damage and has terrible innate resistance. Your only worry is if he returns with his passive and kills you but even then, it is a small chance. Just poke him down and if he DARES walk up, pull him in and kill him. Just make sure he doesn't get to CS. You don't want him to be too tanky for your team to deal with.
Mordekaiser
Why are you playing blind pick?
