Introduction

Hello summoners! Welcome to my guide for LeBlanc, the Deceiver. Leblanc is an opportunity assassin, and situational mage. She possesses high burst damage, a ton of mobility, and simple outplay potential.

As I get better with BB coding I'll fix up some things, but since it's confusing I'll work with lots of pictures.

Pros and Cons

Pre-Game Setup

All the gray masteries are other viable options.

OFFENSE TREE

These masteries are fairly standard. You take Cooldown Reduction, Ability Power, and extra sources of damage. The Fury mastery is used to help with last hitting- you can swap this out with Brute Force , or even Butcher . I prefer Fury as the attack speed can be used in trades.

UTILITY TREE

Like in the offense tree, these choices are also very common. Many people do not take the Culinary Master biscuit change, swapping it out for Runic Affinity . It's just a preference, but you need to measure the consistency of you receiving blue buff. There is more incentive to actually GIVE blue (lower xp, gold,) but it's duration is shorter. Phasewalker is optional, but quite a lifesaver. You can take a couple points in mastery=Fleet of Foot (ugh why is it red) if you prioritize roaming over laning. UPDATE: DON'T TAKE THE FLAT MANA NOW, NOT WORTH IT TAKE THE MOVEMENTSPEED

DEFENSE TREE

While LeBlanc is squishy, it isn't needed to take defensive stats on her. When played very well (this is in general, all champions) you should never die. That would be considered the perfection of someone who plays league. Thing is, the games get tough. If you're in a difficult matchup, these can help a lot.

Runes

Precision
Fleet Footwork
Phase Rush

Since we are trying to bring LeBlanc to high potential in play, we are going to abuse her strong early game and ap ratios with lots of flat ap and magic penetration. Scaling AP glyphs outdamage flat ones at around 7-9, however Leblanc has kill potential all from level 3. Even 2! Mana regen is a preference, simply to be able to harass more often in the laning phase.

Other options:

Runes

Precision
Press the Attack

"There are people who put Flash on F, and there are people who need to die." - Avarona
I can't split the parts here?

Flash will change your game when used right. Jump over walls, juke into bushes and chase for a kill. I recommend taking this every time, unless you are not level 12 in which case you should take Ghost.

This will help secure kills, and counter enemies with healing properties. (and kill steal!) It's best to use this mid-late in your full combo, as they will probably attempt to heal somehow after it, should they be able to.

Other spells:
Ghost for chasing/escaping, only when under lvl 12.
Teleport to get back in lane, come back from being behind, roaming, etc.
Cleanse Against super high CC teams.
Exhaust Slow+damage decrease.

No-no's:
Clarity Mana regen seals. If you're needing THAT much mana, chalice. You'll lack combat stats.
Smite Leblanc jungle 2 gud. It might actually work, don't want to risk trying.
Revive Long cd, will probably only be used 1-3 times per game.
Clairvoyance Maybe on.. Ashe? Jinx? I don't know.

Q: Why not Barrier or Heal?

A: You may have seen a lot of summoners in the mid lane take spells like these two- barrier, and heal. These spells are used against high damage threats that can quickly kill someone, and they need protection. You know what?

YOU ARE THAT DAMAGE THREAT.

Abilities

As explained in the mini-guide, you would like to max Distortion first for waveclear while taking two points in Sigil of Malice to help with trading, last hitting and turret farming. To also keep outplaying, Distortion's cooldown decreases with level.

Mirror Image

Mirror Image is LeBlanc's passive. When under 40% health, Leblanc turns invisible for 1 second and creates a clone that stays alive for 8 seconds. You can control the clone for its duration.

Specific Details:
Mirror Image has a cooldown of 60 seconds.
When you get too far away from the clone (1000~1200 units) she will appear next to you.
The clone can die, and it will give gold. (not as much as a kill.)
The clone will NOT replicate or give buffs.
The clone does not deal any physical damage, but will proc on-hit things like Arcane Blade , Nashor's Tooth and Blade of the Ruined King. It cannot use Lich Bane (no spells) and Runaan's Hurricane (on attack, not on hit.) Unsure if Help, Pix! works.

Sigil of Malice

Sigil of Malice is a single-targeted ability that deals magic damage to minions, monsters and champions. Any targets that have been validly hit by the spell will receive a debuff. If any of Leblanc's spells damage an enemy with the debuff, they will take the same damage again and remove the status.

Specific Details:
Total possible damage: 110 / 160 / 210 / 260 / 310 (+ 80% AP) divide by half for a single use.
The projectile has a speed of 2000, a range of 700, a mana cost of 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 and a cooldown of 6.
It can be blocked by spellshields and spell-stopping "walls" ( Unbreakable, Wind Wall)
It can be triggered by another Sigil of Malice. (Cooldown is too long, but URF/All for one works)

Distortion

Distortion is a spell that moves Leblanc to the place of the cursor. Upon landing, a small area around her takes magic damage. On cast, the original place Leblanc was will be marked with a pad. You can activate Distortion again to return to the pad.

Specific Details:
AoE Magic damage: 85 / 125 / 165 / 205 / 245 (+ 60% AP)
It has a range of 600, a radius of 250, a mana cost of 80 / 85 / 90 / 95 / 100 and a cooldown of 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 / 10.
It can be interrupted by displacement abilities.
The initial cast is a dash, and can be stopped by Azir's ultimate. The second activation is a blink- it (almost) can't be stopped.
Both casts of Distortion will not be able to be cast if Leblanc is silenced, snared, stunned, or in stasis.

Ethereal Chains

Ethereal Chains is a single target skillshot that deals magic damage on hit. When it lands, the target is slowed and keeps the chain between Leblanc and the opponent. If Leblanc stays within a specific range for 1.5 seconds, the enemy loses the chain and is snared for 1.5 seconds.

Specific Details:
Possible Magic damage: 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280 (+ 100% AP) (divide by half for a single use)
It has a range of 950, the speed is slightly slower than Q, costs 80 mana and has a cooldown of 14 / 12.5 / 10 / 9.5 / 8 seconds.
The range for the chain to stay for a snare is slightly longer than the range of the cast, but I wouldn't recommend backing off.

Mimic

Mimic is a very simple spell- Leblanc recasts the previous spell she had used. The spell's colours are different and do more magic damage. The damage is dependant on the level of the ultimate, not the base ability.

Specific Details:
The spells are nearly exactly the same, except for damage.
Mimic costs 1 mana.
Mimic has a very short cooldown compared to other ultimates.

Options:
. Mimic: Sigil of Malice 100 / 200 / 300 (+ 60% AP)- Divide by half for a single proc.
. Mimic: Distortion 150 / 300 / 450 (+ 90% AP)
. Mimic: Ethereal Chains - The damage is the same as mimicked sigil of malice.

Use the specific combos based on the position of enemies, (minions) and whatever spell you land first.

Ability Mechanics

This specific chapter is simply a list of facts and cool things possible with LeBlanc. It should give a little bit of hints on how to use your abilities wisely and look hot while doing it.

I recommend watching your health and knowing when to expect your clone to come out. The best way to escape with Mirror Image is to act like a clone, while using the fake one as if it was you. While looking stupid, your Distortion should hopefully become available while messing with their minds. A good way to abuse this is when your passive pops, run into the river at a slight angle towards the enemy jungle. Send your clone back to turret and voila! People are running and tower diving for 30 gold.

If the clone dies while an auto-attack is mid-air, when it lands it is considered the original Leblanc's auto-attack and WILL deal damage. (right?)

Sigil of Malice's debuff time is quite lengthy- 3.5 seconds. If you find the opportunity, you could (in theory) Q, R, Q if you have a lot of cooldown reduction.

Luckily Distortion was buffed very recently- the return pad lasts for 4 seconds as opposed to the earlier 3. This allows you to QW and continue auto-attacking multiple times before going back (in lane.)
A decent and easy juke is to W, R, keep running until the first W pad diminishes then go back. This is especially effective as one of "SivHD"'s tactics- named the "brushy brushy."

Really big tip: You can use distortion to go out of the leash range of your clone. Sending your clone away, using W then W again to pop the clone next to you is a great tool especially when enemies have vision of you and need to guess which one is you TWICE.

I highly recommend in skirmishes to use mimicked W perpendicular to your previous W if going in quick succession. It allows you to stay near the fight while getting good angles of approach for Q.

Another one where I have a video! You can flash or blink while your chain is in mid air, and obviously while it's attached.
