Now, its the wierd part of this build. To start, you build like a normal
AP carry
Veigar.
Sorcerer's Shoes is good early game with the
15 flat Magic resitance penetration, but
useless late game because
Void Staff is way more better late game than this.
Rod of Ages is a really
good item in early game because it give you the
HP you need (650 HP), some
mana and
AP for
more survivability.
Not bad late game but
other items can be more usefull like
Spirit Visage BUT
Rod of Ages
way more usefull if your
enemies are mostly AD because it gives you more
HP,
mana, and
AP than
Spirit Visage without the
Magic Resist (which is useless vs. AD).
Archangel's Staff is essential early game, because it give you
1k of mana, some AP and
a protection. It give
more survivability and it work very well with
Veigar's passive but
fall off late game.
Rabadon's Deathcap...
30% more AP. No more questions, just take it,
TAKE IT DAMMIT!!
Zhonya's hourglass is
the main armor item of
Veigar and,
the most important of all, it give you the
best protection NA ever:
invulnerability! Perfect to counter
those f***ing annoying
Karthus
Requiem! :D Its give you also
some AP for early game.
Nashor's Tooth is
one of the most important item on him late game. Why? Because it give you a
cool 20% cooldown, a minimum of AP,
50% attack speed and
the most important, the passive: your basic attack deal
15% of your AP in magical damage... with the Arcane Masteries,
its 20% of your AP! Late game, this item
can do more damage than some adc basic attack, with one item only...
LIKE A BOSS
Then, late game...
Spirit Visage is a great late game item because its your main MR item with
55 Magic resistance, it give you
10% cooldown, some
health regen and
400 HP for
more survivability.
Void Staff is
essential late game because
35% of magic penetration is
a lot more compared to the
15 flat Magic penetration of
Sorcerer's Shoes.
Mercury's Treads is good late game because it have
the 35% more tenacy unique passive and give you
25 magic resist, perfect to
counter all those heavy CC mage.
What about
Luden's Echo?
Well,
Luden's Echo can be a
great items to
excecute a multiple amout of target in the same time. The
passive is the reason why this item have a
great potiential late game. The
15% AP bonus damage effect on close target can be the
begining of the TEAM NUKER
VEIGAR but it need to
be charged and that's the problem. With
Cassiopeia, the charge of
Luden's Echo is
very short, so it's effecive on her, but
not with
Veigar because
it have a 'long' cooldown compared to her. In comparaison with
Nashor's Tooth, it have the
15% basic attack passive at
EVERY basic attack, but not
Luden's Echo. That's why
Nashor's Tooth is better.
About
Hextech Gunblade and
Will of the ancients?
Well,
Hextech Gunblade can be an amazing substain item because of the spell vamp and the life steal, both combined together can be a constant healing for
Veigar. It give you AP, Attack damage (which it isn't that usefull on
Veigar) but the substain it give can be insane, Same for the
Will of the ancients but with the 10% cooldown. I'll test as soon as i can.
Is
Guardian Angel worth or not?
Well, with the 50 Armor and 50 MR plus the revive seems to be awesome, but can it be more usefull than other items like
Zhonya's hourglass? The revive as a cooldown of 6:00 minutes, but the Staitc have a cooldown of 1:30 minutes. It bring you supplemental MR but leave the AP. Also, the revive only occur when you die, but the static can be at everytime. At least, the revive will be activated automaticly but not the static (which can represent a failure and probably means death). I'll Test this as soon as i can.
