Able to peel somewhat well for the ADC since she stays in the back anyways
Can turn around a lot of bad fights with a good spear
Cougar form helps with early mana problems if you don't back and buy(like me :P)
Has good execution moves with both her form's Q

Cons

Somewhat weak early game
Can't really assist on ganks
Doesn't have a way to get to the back line as freely as an LB or Gragas
Is very difficult to land a spear with.

With laning phase, you mostly want to FARM, FARM, FARM. I can't stress enough how important farm is on Nidalee, because you won't really have definite kill potential till 6. Once you hit post 6 though, you can be more aggressive and have really good roaming potential to either snowball yourself, or snowball other lanes. She's a high damage, utility mage with great roaming potential, so use it to the fullest.

In teamfights, you only have two jobs really. Poke with spears, and heal the carry. Your spears are deadly once Athene's is finished, and even worse once Deathcap is finished. You can also peel for your ADC exceptionally well with your cougar form abilities.

I wrote this guide on Nidalee because as I had to transition from ADC to Mid for my ranked 5's team, I had grown to love her. She has amazing utility, a very strong late game, and very useful for poking down people to either save towers or take towers. I know my stats don't seem like the best at all because of my elo, but because of my team, I face a lot of high elos in our normals/customs scrims and either dominant lane, or come back and do whatever my job is on whatever champ I play and help to net us a win.
