Introduction
Should you take my word for anything that I say in this guide? Hell no! I believe that you should take a good look at all of the resources that I provide so that you are able to get the optimal output out of your skill level.
I made this guide in order for people to improve their skill levels, which is evidently needed throughout my solo q ranked experience.
The Jungler aims to GIVE ALL LANES AN EARLY GAME ADVANTAGE THROUGH THE USE OF GANKING AND PROVIDING THE TOP LANER WITH UNCONTESTED MINIONS. When playing against another jungler your aim is to not only sustain your own jungle but to impair the opposing jungler through invading.
In teamfights, the jungler is usually a beefy role with some sort of cc or disruption that can initiate and disrupt their carries.
In ranked especially the tide of the game heavily relies on the earlygame, in which if you have a fantastic earlygame, you will generally transition very well into lategame.
Are runes mandatory? I'll honestly answer with no on that one, but if you want that edge over your opponent (and therefore jeopardizing your chances of winning) then I would heavily advise using them.
Armor Yellows however are mandatory on every jungler except Shaco.
Utility Junglers
These are the most accepted runes in the current meta and frankly, I think they work on 90% of the games' junglers. They're fantastic if you can afford the ms quints and I can guarantee that you will never go back
Some champs this runeset would work on;
Pheonix Udyr
Alistar
Dr. Mundo
Kayle
Gangplank
Hecarim
Shaco
Damage Junglers
These runes are for champs that don't need the attack speed buff because they simply have one already or the champion's kit requires flat damage outputSome champions this runeset would work on;
Riven
Lee Sin
Twitch
Gangplank
AP Junglers
Frankly I don't play AP junglers but I am sure that this runeset is awesome for these guys. Starting out with 70 armor is great too 8)
You may switch reds for armor and quints for flat AP also (which is great if you already have a support runeset)
Some champs this runeset would work on;
Veigar
Karthus
Smite
This summoner spell is absolutely mandatory on all junglers and I wouldn't think twice about replacing it with Ignite or whatever new thing that you got 18/0 with Shaco in your bot game. Securing Buffs and Objectives is OP and shouldn't be replaced ever! Every team should have one.
Exhaust
This spell lets you do the following things
-Duel the opposing jungler
-Give you added CC for a gank
-Closes Gaps/Opens Them
Using this spell however is extremely risky and I do not recommend using it unless your Support does not own this or you simply have enough mobility to get through escapes by itself.
Flash
You're level 30 and you really need a refresh on how OP this is.
