Intro
Hey I'm Spooky, I'm a fiddlesticks main in mid plat. I've climbed really well and I think that fiddlesticks is in a good place to be viable in the current meta.
The guide I'm showing can show off fiddle's crazy clear speed and ability to carry early game and snowball into mid-game to FEAR the enemy team into submission.

Summoners

Flash
You run flash every game of course, pushing "R" and having flash up to enter the back line is extremely helpful.


Chilling Smite
Blue smite it helpful when ganking lanes, enter with hexflash or ulty and then use your "Q" followed by smite and "W" helps secure much more damage because they cannot escape the "W" as easy.
Masteries

Main rune set

Runes Here


This rune set is my prefered for burst early game where you can take control of map, the early stacking on Dark Harvest combined with Ultimate Hunter provides a really good early game snowball where you can get out of control. This along with Hexflash can make you a kill machine even pre level 6.

Other set worth considering

Rune #2 Here


This rune set plays a bit safer, not relying on the early game pressure but still being able to be viable in mid game to burst people down. Its better to play safe with these runes, but I still wouldn't prefer them.

This sequence of leveling is to do the Wolves start


With this start you can not only take your camps extremely fast, but it allows room for invading, or quickly taking birds and red being able to contest scuttles at a higher level.

This skill sequence is for fiddlesticks who dont want to/cant take advantage of the early game wolves start, where you'll start one of your buffs and take a leash.

Your kit (abilities) and how to use it



Dread

This is your passive, its what makes Hexflash and your Ultimates engage feel so good, standing still for 1.5 seconds before entering a battle makes you Speedy boi and allowes you to get in a better position to cast your Q

Terrify

This is your "Q" its a fear which forces an enemy which you point in click to run away from you for up to 2.25 seconds, you use this is immobilize your enemy long enough for your Ultimate paired with your Drain to do Lethal damage.

Drain

This is your main source of raw damage pre level 6 when it comes to champions, it helps you sustain while jungling and can keep you alive during a select number of 1v1's, it does a decent amount of damage and provides moderate healing for 5 seconds, its not best to cast this in teamfight situations unless their team is dispersed because it can easily get you caught out because. It does get stop by crowd control (stuns,knockups, other fears)

Dark Wind

This is one of fiddles most fun moves to pull off, although they did nerf a lot of its damageits still usable when clearing camps and helps in 1v2 situations to burst down when you enter with ultimate on 2 people, push e, push q on the carry, use protobelt, then use your drain on the carry. The burst gets insane and it will take a little to get used to.

Crowstorm

This is your beloved Ultimate it's a large area of affect ability that can be casted over multiple walls to enter in surprise, killing anyone in sight, this paired with flash and protobelt and you can dive backlines harder than a full item Rengar.Dont be afraid to "waste" it, we run ultimate hunter so it ends up being on a 40 second cool-down that can nuke a team at any time. Its something that you want to put into play almost immediately it does so much raw damage paired with the rest of your kit that its almost a guaranteed kill.
Starting Items
These items are really good to start and a lot of high elo fiddle sticks mains prefer this start

Hunter's Talisman
Hunter's machete isn't good at all on fiddle, hunter's talisman applies the passive on everything you hit with your E


Control Ward
You don't need refillable potion because of your W so your free to get the vision to scope out early scuttles, and invades.

Health Potion
Since you're going to be looking for early ganks and may take some damage doing so having 1 health pot is the only real way to spend the left over cash and helps you keep your health up just in case.


Warding Totem
Warding totem can be interchangeable if your planning to invade, but if not then its best to just get more vision in jungle/river before your first back.
Core items

Stalker's Blade - Runic Echoes
There's really no other option for an AP fiddlesticks, it has CDR, good clear, mana, burst. It's everything fiddlesticks can ask for.


Hextech Protobelt-01
This item is cheap, useful, has CDR along with AP burst. This item as well is very strong of fiddlesticks and creates many opportunities to 1 shot squishies.

The Dark Seal
Dark seal early on in the game can help you get very far ahead, 2 kills and the item is one of the best early game stat suppliers for the cost.


Boots of Mobility
Mobo boots are also a very strong early game tool, it allows you to be everywhere, it helps secure ganks, set up dragons, aswell as increasing your ability to invade without detection. But if you have the gold and your looking to upgrade your boots midgame going for sorcs is the right call
Some other items to build

Zhonya's Hourglass
This item is fiddles bread and butter, midgame it creates many more opportunities but in a meta of early game I believe its beat out by Protobelt. Definitely a go to 3rd item.



Rabadon's Deathcap
This gives you loads more RAW damage, you do need the gold though or else you can end up holding 1k in your inventory waiting for your next power spike.

Mejai's Soulstealer
If your far ahead and early on you have 10 stacks on your dark seal then going for a mejas isn't a terrible thing to do, it is playing with fire but it has huge payoff if you can get more than 10 stacks to activate the passive.


Void Staff
Void staff is a really good final item, it helps you get through most of the magic resist that an ADC or mid laner may build and will help you scale into late game shredding through peoples healthbars
Some tank shred

Rylai's Crystal Scepter
This item paired with Liandry's gives a huge powerspike of % health damage and helps shred HP tanks


Liandry's Torment
Liandries burn applying in a huge AOE effect can be monstrous for an enemy team to deal with, its good against HP tanks and anyone that may to be tanky for the normal burst build.

Morellonomicon
This can stop healing, if nobody on your team is building grievous wounds its a good thing to have against a soraka,swain aatrox,mundo, anyone who gains more health than they have basically. Because it cuts down healing by 40%.
