General Tips using Abilities and/or Items

  • You can activate Twilight Shroud to cancel abilities like Blitzcranks hook
  • Try to hit level 6 while you're in the shroud so that the enemy doesn't see you level up so that you can surprise him with a harass or even a kill
  • Learn the exact range of the combination of Flash and Shadow Dance as this is the most important combo to in the late game to kill enemy carries
  • Use the Active of Hextech Gunblade after you reach the enemy to get extra time on your slow so it's easier to chase him down!
  • If possible by any means only return to base for the first time when you have enough gold (currently 1050) to be able to buy Hextech Revolver

With just being level 1 you can use the following combo against melee champions or even ranged champions that aren't smart enough to just run back:

Another Harass Combo

If you're already level 6, after the second part of Twin Disciplines is active, use Shadow Dance to jump on the enemy, toss Mark of the Assassin on the enemy and follow up with an auto attack.

Mid-Game big-gap-closing All-in Combo

Often, enemys run away to get out of your range but can still catch them:

All-in Combo with highest damage within the shortest amount of time

This combo give the opponent the least amount of time to use Exhaust, Heal or other spells/abilities:
The reason why you use Shadow Dance before Mark of the Assassin is that the latter's travel time is so slow that the enemy isn't marked when you closed the gap with Shadow Dance so your auto attack will not do extra damage.

All-in Combo (requiring Hextech Gunblade and Level 6)

If the enemy champion does use some sort of escape or uses Flash, you can use another charge of Shadow Dance within that combo. To close a really large gap before starting the combo you can use Flash. For added kill pressure you can use Ignite.

Always use Hextech Gunblade's active after you reach the enemy to get extra time on the slow to chase him down.
