Champion Build Guide

Iron IV's Guide to URF - Movement Speed Zoe

By RainbowNova

Alright, here we go. My name is RainbowNova. I am an Iron IV player who mostly plays Teemo, having around 160k mastery points on him I'd not call myself a main even though he's my most played champion. I play in the Euw server and I only play Teemo in ranked, having a 67% winrate as of writing this guide. I have been playing League of Legends ever since the end of season 7, right after Kayn got released. Ever since I started playing Teemo I was in love and I knew what champion I'd not stop playing any time soon. Sadly enough he's about to get reworked, and I really do not like change, but honestly the rework isn't bad and it's still Teemo at its core, so I'll not give up on the little fella.

I like writing guides about off-meta guides and playing said builds myself. The reason I haven't tried my hand at meta-builds yet is because my knowledge about champions, abilities, items, when a champion is at their strongest and vision is quite bad and my map awareness is non-existent. Because of this I haven't felt like making a "real" guide, as I feel like people would not trust (and with good reason) the build at all seeing as I'm the lowest of the lowest. By writing off-meta guides I feel like other low elo people can try some new things and enjoy the game in a new way, without having to worry about being good at the game, and to just be able to enjoy it.

Tl;Dr: I'm an Iron IV, Euw, Teemo main with no knowledge about the game, which is why I make off-meta guides and not "real" guides.

Why would you use this build?

Now you might be wondering: "Why in the world would I ever go Movement Speed on Zoe?"
The answer to that is simple! It's Zoe! She has more than enough damage in her kit and in URF you're allowed to try out weird and new builds without having people (always) calling you a troll. Another reason is that Zoe has a build-in movement speed bonus which is fun to mess around with. Another plus is that if your enemies build (and use) Youmuu's Ghostblade or take Ghost, you can pick those up and use them yourselves for even more movement speed!

Help, my team...

What your map will look like at the start of the game.
At the start of the game, your screen will be as clean as a baby's cheeks. Nobody will be suspecting a thing, besides the fact that you've taken Ghost and Predator if you follow this guide. Now don't get used to it, as the screen as you've known it up until now will soon change and become one of your worst nightmares.

What your map will look like once you built Youmuu's Ghostblade.
At this point in the game somebody has probably noticed that you're building Youmuu's Ghostblade and not Lich Bane or any other usual Zoe item. It'll most likely be the AP Malphite who's spamming chat about how MS- Zoe is not how you have to build Zoe and that you are going to get banned for "trolling" and "intentionally feeding". You can choose to mute this one person, but that'd make the following accurate maps not make sense.

What your map will look like once you built Dead Man's Plate.
It's usually better to build Dead Man's Plate last or after Mobility Boots, but honestly you can do whatever you want since it's URF and no one honestly gives a Shroom

What your map will look like once you built Mobility Boots.
So once you build Mobility Boots you might start seeing a lot of yellow and red on your screen. Now calm down, you're not having a seizure and you're not dying. This is just your team failing to realise that Mobility Boots are made for Zoe as just like her hair, they are mostly orange. You can either choose to mute your team at this point or educate them by pointing out all their flaws while you're dying to the Bard that's been auto attacking you for the past 24 minutes.

<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---
says that I'm trolling and will be banned!
<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---
You can do a few things whenever your team says that you're trolling. One of the first options is to tell your team that if you wanted to be a troll, you'd have picked Trundle when he was available in the champion selection screen. Instead, you went Zoe, an innocent and pure child (a very old one). The definition of quirky and dumb, but also very intelligent. So if anyone's the troll, it's definitely not you, because you're playing Zoe and Zoe is not a troll. Here is proof of it.

Another thing you can do is to simply mute them if they are actually being toxic or just ignore them. Although you'll be missing out on a lot of fun things in chat, you'll also be less tempted to respond or to get tilted by it. They might spam ping you, but you can mute pings as well. If they are tilting teammates, tell said teammates to mute them as well. Even though it's URF, if the people who've been calling you a troll have gotten to the point of racism, discrimination or other kinds of verbal abuse it's best to report them. Yes, "it's just urf", and yes "you can just mute them", but those people will most likely also do this in other games, where they might be toxic before anyone gets the chance to mute them. Toxic people need to be punished, whether that be in URF, ARAM, ranked or normals.

<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---
is trying to surrender!
<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---<<>>---
Just vote no. It's as simple as that. If your team tries to surrender, it might be an indication that the game's going bad and that you might as well give up as you might not win. This mentality, although bad in many ways, also has its benefits. In ranked you should never surrender, as 99% of the games can be turned around, either by a trolling enemy or a simple mistake made at a crucial moment of the game. You can also still learn things from the last minute of a game, which you won't learn if you always surrender. There's also champions that scale better in the late game, so if you can stall a game you will be the one benefiting from it.
