i am Gold and i mained him for months... he's an easy first jungle you can buy... he's nice too (my opinion) and even if he is not in the meta no one but the true pros says " rammus sucks". Never.
This champion is one of the strongest in 5v5 (team ranked games) because of his protection ofc...but in ganks he shines like a diamond... everyone in the enemy team will begin to say: nerf that taunt it's op because of your coordination with laners ( nerfet yet but doesn't matter). ganks in top with assasins in your team are freaking awesome.. rammus gank a trynda: easy kill. rammus gank with fizz and leblanc= easy kill. powerball to bot taunt adc: easy kill... easy
PS use your taunt under a tower of yours to let the tower attack him more times.

The gank of rammus is one of the easiest of the game... yuo have only a problem to avoid: minions will break your Q.
A normal gank: before being in lane use Q. When you reach the champion ganked he will be knokbacked and then you have to taunt him + use W. for damage press R .

REMEMBER: MS boost will increase with the time of your Q.

Stay really close to your adc and taunt the assassin or fighter that is going to attack your poor adc. Your adc will began to kill him. after this you should run to enemy adc and taunt him or you can keep defending your carry from the attackers.
NB don't be afraid going 1v1 on an adc.. you will probably win if you have sunfire+thornmail.
Use R when the fight begins

Pros:
- awesome ganks
- funny champion
- multiple skins
- really tank medium and late game
- easy 1v1 vs adcs
- tons of cc and MS
- strong in defense of towers with mobility+ homeguard
Cons:
- weak in early
- easy to invade
- useless if all the enemies take ap champs
- low damage to mages and tanks
- minions can ruin the gank if you touch them in your Q
