Jax top is better than jungle, but if you want it, actually, it's not bad.

Pros / Cons

Pros
  • Jax late game is one of the most strong champs
  • Can burst lots of adc and apc, and still leave with half life
  • After Lv6 he destroys almost all the fighters
  • Strong poke with his Counter Strike
  • Very useful passive for long trades
 Cons
  • Very mana hungry early game if trades a lot
  • Not so stronk before Lv6, because he doesn't offer so much damage
  • Very dependent on items
  • Build very expensive
  • Vulnerable to CC, mainly knock ups, like Vayne's Condemn

Creeping / Jungling

When Jungling, prefer start your path from the same side the adc and support are, jax is not the best ganker for bot lane, and the leash is better ;).

After the buff, do the wolves, and than the other buff.

Try to get a gank at level 3.

If you feel confident, steal other team's jungle monsters, Jax is a good counter jungler.

If you buy Wriggle's Lantern, clean your jungle and than gank.

Otherwise after reaching Level 6, gank focus on ganking.

Team Work

Jax is a Tank with his Ultimate, even if he bought more offensive items, so, start with that and with your stun, burst the carry, forget other champions, after that, defend your carries.

Jax burst is very strong in mid/late game, abuse of that.

Jax can chase other champions, BUT... prefer to work with your team, you're Jax, not God.
