That is a good question. I have not tried it out but I actually doubt it will be very effective on Skarner.
I can see the appeal, but in my honest opinion this wouldn't be the best magic resistance item you could build, not even on bruiser Skarner. This would require Skarner being in the middle of the enemy team and auto attacking all the time.
The problems I see with this is that you want to be the one dragging the enemy into your team, not fighting in the middle of the enemy team.
But that is just my view on things and if you want to build it, you should definitely try it! ^^

I'm Corvux and as a main jungler I'll like to know how or base on what parameters you take the decision to use one rune path or the other with Skarner?
For example: I create a full AP bruiser version of Skarner
Skarner JG S9
, that I will like you to check and try aswell so you can give me your opinion in a comment and/or +1 vote if you like it. There I explain why an how I use my runes path to take the full potential of it.First of all thank you for the comment.
The choice in rune path is based mostly on what needs your team has.
If your team requires you to be a full tank jungler I tend to take the Resolve tree as my main rune path. This is best in games where you have no other tank champions in your team.
If your team requires you to deal some more damage I take the Domination tree as my main rune path because it allows me to set up ganks easier and it gives me a higher damage output.
The same is applied to which build you should take. Tank build if your team is full of squishies and the bruiser build if your team is low on damage.
Now I have read your guide and seen you runes and thoughts, I will start looking into this and I will get back to you once I found the time to test your thoughts! ^^

Glad you liked my guide.
And you are right, I will look into it my friend!
I feel like it's a strong rune because it will speed you up while dragging someone to your teammates with Impale. This burst of movement speed can make sure you separate your target as far as possible from his team.
But of course you can take other runes, this is just the rune I find most success with! ^^
You could take this rune as a replacement for The Ultimate Hat.
The reason I didn't take it as my own runes is because I really like Relentless Hunter on Skarner for all the movement speed it provides!
What are the situations when i should go for bruiser build instead of tank build?
Thanks and sorry for the late reply.
I've been very busy.
You should go for the bruiser build if you team has enough tanks.
For example if you have a Maokai top and Leona support.
In teams like that you need a little bit more damage instead of tank stats. ^^
I will be working on that as soon as possible. :)
I have been experimenting with different runes on Skarner and Glacial Augment is one of them.
There are pros and cons to taking this, but in my opinion it isn't really worth taking compared to other runes.
Yes, you get a nice slow which makes your ganks more potent, but if you are able to land Ixtal's Impact on your target they will be slowed as well and they will be stunned afterwards if you hit them with a basic attack.
I feel like you get more value from Predator or Aftershock as your keystone as a whole + you need to take into account that both Domination and Resolve offer more to Skarner as a whole than Inspiration.
Nevertheless, I wouldn't call Glacial Augment a 'bad' keystone and it most certainly has it's use if you really want to take it.
If you want to try it, go for these runes in Inspiration:
Hextech Flashtraption - Future's Market and Approach Velocity.
I hope this answers your question! ^^
What do you think about the new Unsealed Spellbook as a keystone on Skarner?
Well, I can see the appeal in taking the new Unsealed Spellbook.
You could change Smite to Ghost before going to gank. Combined with Predator this could make you so fast, there is no time to react for the lane you are ganking and would guarantee you a free kill.
So in the point of view I can really see this working.
This is of course only one of the possibilities the rune would offer.
On the other hand, I stick with what I said in the previous response. I think Domination and Resolve offer more as a whole than Inspiration. But I can certainly see Unsealed Spellbook being used in very creative ways. ^^
Hope this answer helped you in any way. ^^
I tried playing with Unsealed Spellbook and it's like you said.
It feels good, but the other keystones feel better. ^^
For example: I ganked toplane, switched my Smite to Teleport and ganked botlane right after!
So I can't say that you shouldn't take Unsealed Spellbook over other keystones if you feel like this suits your playstyle! ^^
I am going to give it a try, because it sounds too good to not try it! ^^
