Hello there. My name is albertficher, and this is my first "in-depth" guide. Although I am in Bronze (teams make me cry sometimes), I still want to teach you how to play Kha'Zix in the top lane. Kha'Zix in Season 3 and Pre-Season 4 was great in the top lane, until he was nerfed into the ground, now most people only play him in the jungle, and in Season 5, it is going to be a lot harder for him to survive in the jungle. I consider him to be an "underdog" in the top lane. He can still dish out lots of damage, and if you get fed, it might as well be GG, because anyone you find out of place is yours for the killing.

Now, as much as I love Kha, his early game in the top lane isn't great. So I advise you to just sit back and farm until your first evolution, Taste Their Fear, for the consistent damage with your isolation buff once you push off a wave, for the low cooldown, and it being your main damage ability. Make sure you get a gank early, sometime between levels 3-6. On your first back, get The Brutalizer, since we bought a long sword and we will build that into Black Cleaver later. Plus, it's a great first item for the AD, CDR, and Armor Pen it gives.

Get ready to farm it up for your next item, Ravenous Hydra. This is an awesome item on Kha, giving him lots of AD, plus health regen and lifesteal, since Kha is pretty squishy early. First component you are going to want to get is Tiamat, since it gives lots of damage and health regen, plus its passive, allowing him to deal more damage. For boots, I go Ionian Boots Of Lucidity, for that CDR, making his abilities even more spammable, especially his Q.

Laning Phase should be over by this time for most, its time for even more damage. Infinity Edge shall be your next item after Ravenous. Combined with the isolation buff, Infinity will give you tons more damage. After you Q while isolated, autoattack and get off some big damage. Next we will be finally turning the Brute you bought earlier into Black Cleaver, giving you some more health, more armor pen, and AD.

Coming into the late game, we are gonna want some more armor pen, because at this point they will realize that you are best Kha'Zix NA and can instaburst them down. Resistance is futile! (Get it?) Their GAs and Randuin's can't help them now! Last Whisper shall be your next item. And finally, you will want to get Bloodthirster, for some more AD and lifesteal, plus the shield for even more durability during team fights.
