Introduction

LORE:
On the upper slopes of Mount Targon, the warriors of Rakkor live and breathe only for war. However, Targon's peak is reserved for a special group of Rakkoran who answer to a ''higher'' calling. Members of this group, called the Solari, retire their mantles of war, choosing instead to devote their lives to reverence of the sun. According to legend, the Solari were formed by a warrior who could call the raw might of the sun down upon his enemies in combat. He claimed Mount Targon's summit, the point on Valoran closest to the sun, for his solar devotion, a tradition which generations of Solari have preserved to this day. Though they maintain their reverence, no other warrior possessed the gifts of the founder -- until Leona.
Leona's parents were traditional Rakkorans, both bred for the heat of battle. To them, Leona was a problem child. She was capable of fighting as fiercely as any other -- including her childhood friend, Pantheon -- but she did not share their zeal for killing. She believed that the true worth of a soldier lay in her ability to defend and protect. When it came time for her Rite of Kor, a ceremony in which two Rakkoran teens battle to the death for the right to bear a relic-weapon, Leona refused to fight. For this, the Rakkoran leaders ordered her execution, but when they tried to strike the fatal blow, sunlight burst forth, bathing Mount Targon in light. As it faded, Leona stood unharmed and her executioners lay unconscious around her. The Solari immediately claimed Leona, demanding that her sentence be repealed. She donned the golden armor of the Solari and they bestowed upon her the sword and shield passed down from the ancient sun-warrior of legend. The Solari helped Leona focus her abilities, and when she was ready she left to join the League of Legends.
''The sun's rays reach all of Runeterra, so too must the image of its champion.''

Start with:
Doran's Shield
I like to start with this item. It gives you good HP regen and that extra health early game. Excellent for laning.
OR
Regrowth Pendant
If you're planing to make Warmog's.
Boots:
Ninja Tabi
Underrated item. 12% Dodge is alot if you're facing mostly AD champions.
Mercury's Treads
Use this if the opposite team has heavy CC and AP.
Next item:
Warmog's Armor
I like to this most of my games. This makes you alot stronger, tank more and great health regen to remain in lanes and team battles, holding that low hp tower without getting HP at your base. If you don't like this for some reason, just jump to the next item.
What to do next?
Its your choice, a tank must ALWAYS take a look on the other team to make decisions.
Thornmail
Best item do make if you're facing 3-4 AD champions. Early game it's effect is already good, making it excellent mid-late.
Banshee's Veil
Great item. Lots of MR, Spell Block and that extra HP and Mana. Don't need to do this if you aren't having any problems with casters.
From now on, it really depends on their team:
Sunfire Aegis
Great item for damage, health and survability. Great even if you're not facing a full ad team. Extra health and dmg is always good.
Force of Nature
Great when you're facing a heavy AP team and a better choice than Warmogs if it's the case. It gives you lots of regen and MR. Many people choose between this and Warmogs, and I really think you can do both, if you have enough money.
OTHER OPTIONS:
Randuin's Omen
I'm not a fan of this item. But there are some tanks that like this. I'm not saying it's bad, but I don't think its so useful. Just if you're facing a full AD team.
Abyssal Mask
If your team is winning, make this one. MR, and extra damage for YOU and your team.
Guardian Angel
I didn't like it very much in the past, sounds like a noob item but it's great because of it's MR and Armor. And some extra life that helps your team alot.
Frozen Hearth
Simply love this item. This combined with a Sunfire and Warmog's makes you invincible against an AD team.
Items that I don't like:
Aegis of the Legion
Nah. Useless. Spend your money on other items.
Zhonya's Hourglass
Lots of armor may you think. But NO. Don't get it. Spend your money on more useful things.

Your combo:
Eclipse >
Zenith Blade >
Shield of Daybreak >
Solar Flare
W > E > Q > R
Simple as that. Active your shield before engaging with E and when you DO, you'll have resist and will make some damage to their champions. Stun and ult after that, if needed.
Skill upgrades:
You just need your Q level 1 until you just have it left to upgrade. Why? The stun is 1.25 at all levels, and the extra damage will not make so much difference. Your W and E are more important because you engage and get extra armor/mr when you upgrade your E.
Start with your E because its the best for getting the First Blood if you enemy is bad. With another stun champion on your side its guaranteed FB, thats why we are getting Ignite.
After that you have to mastery your W, to farm and to get resist and armor.
Shield of Daybreak
Great for Stunning enemies that are running and stoping carries that are killing your squishy team mates.
Eclipse
Great for farming and survability. You have to activate it before you engage.
Zenith Blade
Great for starting a fight. Go to the bushes and catch a hero on that lane for an easy kill with your team mates. Engaging and catching running heroes is good. It's also good for scaping, know how?
There are 4 heroes running toward you and you have low hp. Throw your blade against 'em and you will flash to the last one and you can start running on the opposite direction. It saved my *** plenty of times already. Play smart.
Solar Flare
Great for stunning and slowing enemies in an area. Catching a running team is great. This helps alot. Always try to stun 'em before they do it to your team. Easy kills and great combined with ults in area like
Miss Fortune and others.

Great for getting those kills. You are a tank, but this helps alot early game because you can stun and still do lots of damage. I usually make like 4/0 on lane because of this. If you don't like it, get

Great overall spell. To catch running enemies and to scape from 'em.

Great for chasing and running too, replace

Great if you have a premade, but if you're soloing on queue it will help but not as much because they will not have it too.
