Introduction
Gragas has always been an interesting champion to me, just look at him, he's just interesting to look at, his variation of abilities make him a great team fighting champion.
Is a must have on almost any champion, its an easy escape/engage tool. It is also essential in landing the Gragas gank combo, which is made up of Body Slam + Flash (I will come back to that later in the guide)
Is essential for any jungler, Smite allows you to take objectives such as dragon and baron, and make your clear quicker, you can also upgrade it into Chilling Smite for more effective ganks.

Gragas is a great champion for ranked play, however you have to remember to share kills. This is because he is a great early game skirmisher who can out-damage almost any champion in the early game. When team fighting in ranked play you are going to want to look for a chance to disposition an enemy carry (Mid laner and ADC), if you see the opportunity, use your ultimate behind him and body slam him when he flies towards you, this should give enough cc on its own to guarantee a kill on the enemy. Remember that your ultimate will stun an enemy if they hit the wall when you use it, just like Lee Sin and Vayne's moves.
The most important thing with any champion is the style you need to play the champion effectively, with Gragas you are going to want to look for ganks mainly when you are level 3 or 6 as these are your main power spikes. When you gank you are going to want to Body Slam in and place your Barrel Roll in front of their escape, so their going to have to either walk straight through it or evade it and walk away from safety. When you gank in the early game you are going to want to let the laner take the kills, this is because Gragas is not a carry jungler, however many kills you get in the early game you will not be a real kill threat early game. However if all your lanes are ahead, feel free to take a kill or two when you gank, this will make you more dominant in the jungle compared to the enemy jungler.
Gragas has many combos which make him a great ganker and team fighter. The first combo that is not essential, but great for ganking is the Flash + Body Slam combo which I mentioned earlier, you Flash and Body Slam at the same time which gives the enemy little time to react. In team fights you can use the Flash + Explosive Cask + Body Slam combo to displace enemy carries and stun them. A personal favourite combo of mine is for clearing the jungle Barrel Roll on the camp, Body Slam and then Drunken Rage into the camp, then explode your Barrel Roll, this combo just looks awesome and does so much damage.
In a nutshell, Gragas is a jungler who scales as a tank into the late game, in the early game he does a lot of damage thanks to his high base damage and is great in skirmished thanks to his passive. In this aspect his is much like Lee Sin but with more scaling into the late game, you will also want to play him like Lee Sin, build gragas with damage in mind in the early game and then transfer him into a play making tank in the late game.
