Lux has a very hard matchup into Naafiri, due to Naafiri his Poke assassin easy target access kit. Thereby her packmates make it very difficult for Lux Q to snare her.
Lux's early laning phase into Naafiri is not the worst, due to Lux her trading pattern being quite strong with all abilities + ranged into Naafiri —> Especially while dodging Naafiri Q’s.
However Naafiri with R access + more items can be abysmal to deal with later on.
Lux her goal is to poke Naafiri and or farm on a safe distance with Lux E’s only later in the game.
Its recommended to run a combat summoner spell and/or build Zhonya as a second item.
Kassadin
Lux has a hard matchup into Kassadin, however early game Lux can gain a lead and priority of the lane. It's recommended to run Cull to gain more *free* gold and basic attack power.
Kassadin becomes a very big issue during the mid/late game.
Sidelaning into Kassadin has 2 dangers;
1. Kassadin withstands a lot of magic damage due to his Passive / Seraphs Shield / Kassadin Q and Upgraded mercury threads Shielding.
2. Kassadins burst is very high when he Pre-Stacks his R paired with having the ambush —> Lux cannot afford this to happen when she moves from sidelane to group or when holding side lane.
Galio
Lux has quite a hard matchup into Magic Resist tank Galio after the early laning phase, especially when Galio gets access to his first item. This is due to Galio his E dash buffer into Lux Q snare can be set up easily for ganks and trades. Thereby pressure Galio later than early game will be very hard to do, due to his magic dmg mitigation and tankyness. Galio's presence in the game can be overwhelming due to his R + sidelane as well.
Irelia
Lux has a difficult lane into Irelia, due to her HP sustain and hard engage —> However Lux has a strong magic damage burst and artillery poke to make the Burst an oneshot. Lux needs to dodge important Irelia E’s during the laning phase → This is done through watching Low HP minions(units) that make a path for Irelia to engage on Lux(hard to notice), which can also give Lux an opportunity to combo Irelia with.
Yasuo
Gwen
Lux has a nice early laning phase into pre-level 6 Gwen, due to Lux her poke and low danger from Gwen all-in. Gwen R slow and damage output can overwhelm Lux in a single all in —> Lux should try to prepoke Gwen and make sure Gwen dies in a single snare hit in melee range. Gwen in the sidelane can be a huge problem whenever Lux gets behind in the game and has to hold her, be aware.
Nocturne
Lux has a very easy lane into Nocturne, however Nocturne his hard all-in engage is insanely strong and hard to avoid for Lux → This is because Nocturne has a global engage and spellshield paired with movement speed + fear kit. Lux has an easy lane into Nocturne due to her range difference and always Lux Q snare or E slow to distance Nocturne.(especially pre-level 6 Nocturne). Lux has to be aware of gank setup and Nocturne R gap closer when walked too far up.
Zed
Mel
Lux has an even matchup into Mel that becomes harder, due to Lux outranging Mel with a safe poke spell and having stronger trades / early push, however Mel having a reflect that setups very well into Lux Q paired with her better range other than Lux E.
Qiyana
Lux has a difficult matchup into Qiyana, due to Qiyana her minor W dashes and E dash. Thereby Qiyana has access to strong fast trading poke and mini-all-ins —> Which later on with Qiyana R become oneshots. Lux needs to try to poke Qiyana *predicting her dashes* and poke Qiyana when she tries to last hit minions, especially early on. Falling behind in this matchup is really bad.
Fizz
Lux has a decently hard time into Fizz his high burst damage trade windows and invulnerability all ins. Lux has a decent trade into Fizz, when she keeps herself at bay from Fizz. —> This allows Lux to not fight one of Fizz his gap closer spell outputs. Fizz level 6 R is dangerous for Lux —> Spellshield / Exhaust / Sidestep are great tools to avoid Fizz his strong R all in.
Akali
Lux has early push into pre-level 6 Akali, thereby Lux has to poke Akali down to get an advantage in lane. However this will be very difficult to do into Akali lvl 6. Depending on Lux her damage items and Akali her defensive item —> Lux wants to prepoke Akali in order to finish her in a full combo, which also allows Lux to walk up.
LeBlanc
Leblancs Trading pattern with Blink back has to be responded with Luxs Q snare —> Easier for Leblanc to trade and blink back in time against its cast time + travel speed.
Lux has a harder time into Leblanc, due to the trading pattern and amazing gank setup leblanc has. Leblanc's weakness is her pushing power, which could enable Lux to pressure Leblanc while farming < — > Danger of Leblanc's gank setup. On the bright side Lux outscales Leblanc and can overcome leblanc on well timed Lux Q's and better performance.
Vladimir
Sylas
Lux has kind of a hard matchup into Sylas, this is due to Lux needing to poke Sylas to get ahead in lane —> This leads Sylas to engage on Lux with his double gap closer on E —> Sylas E(1) is used to dodge Lux her spell and Sylas E(2) engage on Lux. —> even when Lux Q lands on him during it. He outrades Lux very hard. Lux has to mainly focus on dodging Sylas E(2) while poking him, its recommended to play an aggressive summoner spell —> Ignite.
Kled
Lux has a fine lane matchup into Kled, due to her artillery range and damage mitigation from . However Mounted Kled, his all-in engage is insanely difficult to deal with for Lux, which only has a 2 second snare against 2 dash through dashes and immunity long range engage —> Once Kled is dismounted and slower than normal, Lux keeps Kled at a bay easily, preventing another mounted situation.
Tristana
Lux has an unfavorable matchup into Tristana, this is due to Tristana her long ranged W rocket jump that gap closes into Lux paired with a slow. This all-in forces Lux to take a sustained fight —> It's recommended for Lux to take Exhaust or combat summoner spell against Tristana all-in gap closer. However Lux has strong artillery poke that punishes Tristana while farming paired with decent mitigation and trading on Lux W / Passive.
Akshan
Lux has a semi-hard matchup into Akshan, due to his hard engage and easy target access.
Lux wants to pre-poke Akshan with Lux E’s before Akshan can hard engage on her during the laning phase. (melee) combat summoner spells are good for Lux to prevent Akshan from statchecking her(Exhaut, Ignite, barirer)
Syndra
Lux has a general matchup into Syndra, this is due to Syndra her long range stun + follow up burst or ability for Passive. However Lux E has longer range than Syndra her spells and Lux can safely farm and artillery poke Syndra. Later levels and on 1 item Syndra becomes very dangerous, due to her insanely high burst and long range stun(which can set up for gank setups).
Azir
Lux has a stronger early push and early laning due to artillery poke, which diminishes on Azir his items. Thereby strong Azir Soldiers during the late early game and so on can trade very well into Lux her Passive trades. Lux should be very careful with Azir R *Grab* in Gank setups.
Orianna
Lux a slightly harder matchup into Orianna, due to Orianna her easy zoning and range. Thereby Orianna can shield herself against Lux her E artillery poke. Lux wants to poke Orianna with her E when Oiranna is zoning Lux with her ball —> Forcing Orianna to return her ball for shielding. This matchup is very skill dependent who hits their poke and trades well < — > punishing the missed skillshot creep last hit.
Aurora
Lux has a general matchup into Aurora, due to Lux her longer poke range on only Lux E. However Aurora gap closer with R and statcheck is higher than Lux. Lux can struggle enabling her Passive to outpush / trade into Aurora her Q/E combo. during higher levels.
Sion
Lux has a pretty easy laning phase into Sion, but… Sion is an insanely strong tank, that has tools to gap close due to E on unit slow and R crowd control immune rush + stun/knock up. Thereby Sion W shield and Passive HP gains are insanely strong to survive in lane against artillery mages such as Lux —> Especially on the first Magic Resist item. Lux should opt into free scaling items and can harvest the lane hard into Sion early game.
Diana
Lux has a general matchup into Diana, Diana can mitigate Lux poke decently well with Diana W while taking priority of the mid lane. Thereby Diana Q poke and her all in can respond very well into Lux. It's important for Lux to avoid an all-in engage while being out of basic abilities and space Diana Q’s during hitting creeps / Lux Passive / Lux E Poke. Lux with a health advantage wins the statcheck.
Taliyah
Lux has a general matchup into Taliyah, this is due to Taliyah her strong push into Lux… which is hard to match until Lux gains levels in E and 1 item. Due to this Taliyah is allowed to roam and influence the map very well. Lux has a strong artillery lane into Taliyah however, due to Lux E Poke spam. Lux can push / kill Taliyah out of lane due to this very easily.
Lux has to be aware of Taliyah R/Passive mobility paired with Taliyah W crowd control in gank setup(s).
Lissandra
Lux has a general matchup into Lissandra, due to Lux her higher range on poke and trade power < — > However Lissandra her All-In combo that is very good in gank setups can set Lux in an awkward spot —> This is caused by Lissandra her E blink that has a very large range + W/R Crowd Control. Thereby Lissandra Self-R is very effective into Lux her full combo burst —> Lux should spread her abilities during her burst, Delayed (use) Lux E during full combo.
It's recommended for Lux to take Cleanse against Lissandra R.
Ambessa
Lux has an oke matchup into Ambessa, Lux should be aware of Ambessa her mobility —> Especially Ambessa R(which outranges all Lux basic spells).
Lux has priority of the mid lane early on, during early mid game and so on Lux can struggle facing Ambessa with items and R,Q,E access gapcloser.
Tryndamere
Lux has a slightly harder matchup intro Tryndamere, this is due to Tryndamere his lane sustain HP regen due to Tryndamere Q and items/runes + Tryndamere statcheck paired with E mobility. < — > Lux has strong disengage against Tryndamere to always kite him (This can be more difficult depending on summoner spells and Trynda W slow hit). Lux's goal is to take short trade into Tryndamere while keeping him at bay.
Katarina
Lux has overall slight disadvantage into Katarina mid, due to Katarina her instant blink mobility against projectile Lux abilities and all-in statcheck. However Lux has a strong trade pattern into Katarina(which can be hard to satisfy into AD Katarina that has a gap closer).
It is important for Lux to dodge Katarina dagger aoe strikes(Formed from Katarina jumping to her *Dagger*) with good movement while trading/poking back with Lux spells against blinks.
K'Sante
Lux has an even matchup into K’Sante, due to Lux her range paired with Lux Passive Maximizing against K’Sante his tankyness from E shielding and Magic Resist rush. Taking scaling items such as Cull / Tear / Rune setup are good into K’Sante. Lux has to be aware dodging K’Sante his 3rd Q long range knock up *hook* during the laning phase → This setup is lethal to face as Lux, especially when K’Sante has R and statcheck items to buffer Lux Snare and knock her away from her escape route.
Anivia
Overall Lux can outrange Anivia, however it's hard to escape Anivia Q+W combo —> this combination with Anivia R also has slows that can prevent Lux from keeping Anivia at bay.
Lux has to be very aware to get outshoved at level 6+ Anivia, paired with Anivia her decently good gank setup.
Lissandra
Pantheon
Lux has an even matchup into Pantheon, this is due to Lux her artillery range against Pantheon his statcheck and immune to damage to Lux her side trades. its recommended for Lux to take Exhaust or other combat summoner spell —> Staying healthy and using defensive tools early is recommended against Pantheon his execute. Lux should respect Pantheon lvl 1 W start cheese, after gaining more abilities Lux can easily trade and respond to Pantheon.
Later in the game Lux wants to chip away Pantheons HP bar and bring him in execute range —> Lux can deal with Pantheons E immunity towards 1 side during the Lux full combo by Flashing over Pantheon during Lux R.
Ahri
Lux has a fairly easy time into Ahri, due to Lux her longer range poke, paired with equally but better push power as Ahri. However Lux has to be careful of Ahri’s amazing gank setup paired with other champs(especially if they have synergy for her charm setup).
Kennen
Lux has an okay matchup into Kennen, due to her artillery range into Kennen mid range abilities. Kennen E movement speed rush should be answered with snare / Slow. Lux should make sure she can withstand Kennen his all-in damage which can be paired in a gank setup —> Recommended to run Exhaust .
Ivern
Lux has a general matchup into Ivern mid, Ivern is a shielding support/damage dealer that can mitigate artillery very well —>
However Ivern cannot trade back easily into Lux W(shielding)+E(range).
Ivern is a champion that can enchant a teammate to be stronger, which can be very negative when a strong counter of Lux gets buffed.
Talon
Lux has an edge over Talon in the laning phase, this is due to Lux her strong Lux W and damage abilities trading response into Talon Q and artillery poke. Talon has a very strong burst paired with ignite + Talon Passive bleed(3 ability hits into Basic attack) + Talon mobility on the map is insanely high to get back to lane and roam/pressure the map, which Lux should be aware of.
Tryndamere
Cho'Gath
Lux E and early lane bully is insanely strong for Lux to create a lead.
Lux can make a lead early game into Cho’Gath very easily, its recommended to take Ghost to space Cho’Gath / Ganks / Cho’Gath Q’s easily.
Be aware of tank Cho’Gath with Passive Health Sustain + Early Magic Resist. AP Cho’Gath is easier to punish for Lux, however AP Cho’Gath has a stronger Q poke and All in damage spike.
Olaf
Lux has a nice early matchup into Olaf, however Lux has to respect Olaf level 6 due to his immune to Crowd Control R —> Lux Q snare and E slow are countered. Due to mid being a short lane Lux can withstand and be more safe into Olaf his all-in. Thereby Lux her pre-poke allows her to win the statcheck into olaf easier —> Recommended to take ignite for lane pressure in the early game and lifesteal.
Hwei
Hwei has a stronger push and poke cleave whenever Lux is in range for her Passive trades/push. however Lux W artillery range beats Hwei’s range overall. Lux into Hwei is overall a skill matchup with artillery and pushing/denying wave minions. Lux has to be aware of Hwei Purple Paint Crowd Control spells during gank setup.
Quinn
Lux has an easy artillery lane into Quinn, due to Lux her E poke. however Lux loses the early push into Quinn the AD Marksman. Lux has to be aware of Quinn R at level 6, due to Quinn having a lot of movement speed to dodge Lux Q —> Edge of Night , Quinn being ahead in gold, Strong spikes for Quinn mid/late game can make it very very difficult for Lux to function on the map however.
Samira
Lux has a decent laning phase into Samira, due to Lux her artillery poke from Lux E’s.
However Samira E dash gap closer is very far and can be used on minions paired with Samira W into Lux Q —> To prevent this Lux wants to Lux E poke and get Samira W away, this allows her to walk up easier and respond to Samira her engage. This Samira engage becomes very dangerous once Samira has 1,2 or more items / access to R. Because before this Lux can still manage to trade well and soak damage easier with Lux W.
Kog'Maw
Lux has an insanely strong matchup into On-hit Kog’Maw at all times in the game, however Artillery AP/Hybrid Kog’Maw has very far artillery damage on his E/R(level 11 / 16 only) —> Lux has a way stronger *trading pattern* than AP/Hybrid Kog’Maw and should use this as an advantage during the early/mid game lane —> Thereby granting push over AP/Hybrid Kog’Maw due to Lux Passive its consistent damage(Be aware of this against AD start into AP Kog’maw).
Lucian
Lux has a general matchup into Lucian, its recommended to run a combat summoner spell paired with Arcane Comet Rune page to match Lucian his strong early game and Q poke pressure.
Lux should try to aim for short trades and free poke while keeping Lucian away from her long extended trades and Lucian R culling. Thereby Dodging Lucian Q lined up from him → minion → Lux is important for lane pressure.
Dr. Mundo
(its recommended to take Ghost to space Mundo / Ganks / Mundo Q’s easily)
Lux has a fine matchup into Mundo until Mundo gains access to lvl 6 paired with HP+Magic Resist items. This is due to Lux damage being dependent on cooldowns and bursty windows. Thereby Mundo his statcheck and insane health regen tankyness will overcome Lux if he gets on top of her.
Kalista
Lux can struggle into Kalista her mobility and Rend slow engages. Kalista has quite good mobility which also depends on her attack speed. Lux still has strong artillery into Kalista that cannot be answered by Kalista. Lux should be careful of Kalista R gank setup, which is formed with Kalista’s linked target.
Vel'Koz
Lux has a general matchup into Vel’Koz, Lux and Vel’Koz have similar artillery poke patterns and laning. Vel’Koz has a stronger waveclear, especially when using most of the W charges. —> other than this Lux should have priority of the wave with her Lux E + Passive waveclear.
This matchup requires skill on both sides (Easier for Lux E hits while using the wave against Vel’Koz Q’s) , the one hitting more spells and controls the wave state better wins out. Lux has to be aware of Vel’Koz E lining up all his other spells.
Morgana
Lux has quite a good artillery lane and trade pattern into Morgana, however Morgana her All-In crowd control and statcheck paired in a gank setup can be very dangerous to deal with. —> Morgana E can nullify Lux her full guaranteed burst combo as well.
It's recommended for Lux to take Cleanse against Morgana Q/R.
Seraphine
Lux has a general matchup into Seraphine, Lux and Seraphine share a similar kit. However Lux E is generally speaking easier to land and hit than Seraphine Q/E. Thereby Lux gains easier push and lane priority due to poke and Lux Passive damage. Lux should use this to gain an easy lead into Seraphine.
Annie
Lux has way bigger range than Annie, thereby Lux her push is stronger as well. Lux has to be aware of Annie her insane burst and / or gank setup with her stun + Flash. While poking or/and comboing Annie to death to gain kill/lane leads.
Twisted Fate
Lux has a nice matchup into Twisted Fate during the laning phase, however Twisted Fate his map presence with R, Gank setup with Yellow(stun) card and healthpool builds can withstand a lot of Lux her pressure, due to this Lux wants to pressure Twisted Fate really aggressively in the early levels and waveclear fast with Lux R .
It's recommended for Lux to take Cleanse against Twisted Fate W Yellow(stun) card.
Jayce
Lux has a decently nice lane into Jayce, due to her E artillery poke and Lux Passive to match Jayce his push and trades. However really early on this can be quite hard into Jayce.
Lux can punish Jayce melee form spells quite well, except Jayce Hammer Q cleave on minions. Jayce will have priority of the mid lane really early on which will fade into favor of Lux or whether one is ahead. Be aware of dealing damage to Melee Jayce(more Resistances) or Ranged Jayce.
Master Yi
Lux has a decent artillery matchup into Master Yi —> Master Yi Q can choose its placement and makes it harder for Lux to respond to Master Yi his gap closer. Lux has to be aware of Master Yi his short trades with hail of blades and all-ins, while poking Master Yi.
Fiddlesticks
Lux has a fine lane into Fiddlesticks, due to Fiddlesticks his mana cost and range early on. Lux can struggle into Fiddlesticks with Magic Resist + Health Drain combination later on or Fiddlesticks his lategame fog of war engages → Fiddlesticks has to be scouted and found before he engages during teamfights.
Elise
Lux has an edge against Elise mid, due to both of them not being capable of engaging easily —> Elise hard engage exists from Spider form E engage which gets answered by Lux E/Q. This allows Lux to play her artillery lane with minions against Elise E.
Lux should be aware of Elise her Human form Cocoon crowd control and burst damage during gank encounters from the enemy team.
Corki
Lux has a weaker statscheck and push on the first levels, However her poke and short trades with good movement can overcome Corki's strength. It's recommended to run arcane comet rune into Corki his strong early game. Lux should make sure to keep Corki at a safe distance —> Be aware of extra factors such as Cleanse and other mobility.
Sivir
Lux has an oke matchup into Sivir, this is due to Lux having artillery poke, stronger trading pattern and similar wave clear —> Sivir waveclear will become insanely stronger later on. Lux will have a hard time killing Sivir due to her spellshield / AD Marksman early push and power. However Lux with high Points in Lux E and strong mana pool item(s) can get priority of the lane and pressure Sivir through her spellshield rotation.
Lux has to be aware of Sivir with items and spellshield presence.
Aurelion Sol
Lux has a way stronger laning phase than Aurelion Sol early on. due to her long range poke paired with short bursty trade. However Aurelion Sol can be hard to deal with, if he gets items and scales further into the game for Lux. Gaining more range / tankyness and mobility.
Neeko
Lux has an edge over Neeko during the laning phase. Due to Lux her stronger push and further poke range. Neeko is a champion that has range poke and presence, while having an insanely strong all-in engage Crowd Control combo. —> This combo is dangerous and an amazing gank setup. It is important for Lux to understand Neeko and her transformations with minions / monsters / wards / some other units to prevent an all in combo from Neeko.
It's recommended for Lux to take Cleanse against Neeko E snare and/or R.
Gragas
Lux has quite a strong artillery matchup into Gragas, due to Lux E range and W shield answer. However Gragas has an inbuilt sustain on Passive to mitigate some. Lux has to be aware of Gragas his insane gank setup that exists from Gragas E + Flash + R knockback.
Singed
Lux has an easy lane matchup into Singed, due to Lux having insanely good disengage and trades into Singed. However Singed his gank setup that exists from his fling and W grounding+slow is hard to deal with —> Which Lux should respect with fast Flash and Lux Q snare usage.
Malphite
Lux has a nice lane matchup into Malphite, due to Malphite being originally an Armor tank and low mobility other than R. Lux can punish malphite very hard during the early laning phase with artillery poke —> 8/7/6 sec CD out of combat for Malphite to regain 10% max hp shield. Lux has early priority of the lane, which will be harder to gain if Malphite is allowed to build a lot of Magic Resist. —> Dealing with Malphite R as immobile Lux can be quite hard, respect this ability and its gank setup.
Rek'Sai
Lux has an oke matchup into Rek’Sai, this is due to Lux her early lane pressure with strong Lux Passive
melee trades and artillery poke. However Rek’Sai her lane HP sustain is really good, which is especially hard to deal with when she gains Magic Resist components for Lux. Thereby Rek’Sai tunnel E dash cannot be stopped by Lux Q snare —> Rek’Sai gets snared after landing the tunnel dash.
Recommended to take ignite or a melee combat summoner spell for lane pressure in the early game and lifesteal.
Renekton
Lux has an oke matchup into Renekton, this is due to Lux her pressure early on. Harassing Renekton while keeping him at bay —> Lux has to be respect Renekton his double E dashes when used on minions, responding with Lux Q Snare quickly or stay at a range. Lux should respect level 6 Renekton during skirmishes and raw statcheck paired with Magic Resist and tenacity resources → which also counts for sidelaning Renekton trying to get gap close from brushes and sneaky places.
Nasus
Lux has a very easy laning phase into Nasus, however Nasus Wither can be very hard to deal with for immobile Lux —> Paired with tools to gain mobility and tenacity. Thereby Nasus having lifesteal on Passive and other lane poke sustain tools(runes/D-shield) can make the laning phase harder to execute. Lux has a very easy laning phase into Nasus with full priority of the lane —> However, holding the sidelane against Nasus can be rough.
It's recommended for Lux to take Cleanse against Nasus W.
Gangplank
Lux has an oke lane into Gangplank, due to her range and short ranged lane to spot Barrels. However GP Barrels have a basic attack minigame, deciding whether you remove it or get hit by its range. Lux has an easy artillery lane into GP, however she can struggle doing full combos into GP W cleanse → Using all spells instantly as burst during the snare short CC is recommended or as surprise / fog of war.
Sejuani
Lux has quite a good matchup into Sejuani mid, this is due to her artillery poke, disengage and shielding trade pattern into Sejuani her slow damage. Lux has to be aware of Sejuani her gank setup in terms of crowd control and amount of magic resist / tankyness she has.
It's recommended for Lux to take Cleanse against Sejuani E/R stun(s).
Ekko
Lux has a general matchup into Ekko —> Lux should start Q level 1 into Ekko his level 1 E pressure. Thereby Lux wants to pressure Ekko with the wave and/or Lux E’s poke.
While preventing Ekko hard engage trades while Lux misses or has noLux Q/E.
Lux her goal mid-laning phase to the end of the game is to kill Ekko during snare, which is done due to pre-poke / Burst spike items.
Jax
Lux has a nice artillery lane into Jax, due to Lux her strong response into Jax his Q leap engage paired with long ranged poke. Later on Lux can struggle into Jax with Upgraded Mercury Threads tenacity and magic shield + Jax Q maxed for CD. —> Especially while sidelaning. Lux will have priority of the mid lane at all times and can interact outside of Jax his all-in range.
Nilah
Lux has an edge over Nilah, this is due to Lux her early game poke and pressure. Nilah, her all-in paired with 2 dashes (that charge up slowly) can make it very difficult for Lux to get out. Thereby Nilah W reduces magic damage taken and shrugs off basic attacks for Lux her Passive Completion. Overall Lux has a stronger early/mid game than Nilah. However she can suffer into Nilah mercury threads paired with her lifesteal.
Gnar
Lux has a strong artillery lane into short range mini Gnar and even better into mega Gnar.
Lux has priority over the lane at all times, and wants to mainly do short trades and poke only —> mini Gnar Q and Basic attack on last hitting minions are recommended to punish.

Bel'Veth
Lux has stronger laning than Bel’Veth, if she keeps Belveth at a distance → Punishing Belveth for hitting creeps and consistently pokes to gain a lead. It's recommended to take a combat summoner spell into Bel’Veth, reducing her statcheck. Very late in the game, Bel’Veth outscales Lux due to her Passive.
Cassiopeia
Lux has a strong outrange poke lane into Cassiopeia, however Cassiopeia can be dangerous to face with items and Rylai's Scepter its Gap Closer —> Which makes it hard to maximize Lux Passive .
Evelynn
Lux has a good laning phase into Evelynn, due to Evelynn her bad mana pool and early game. Lux can poke Evelynn out of lane and secure kills very well with full combos during Lux Q snare. Lux has to be aware of Evelynn her charm gank setup with Charm and reverse R mobility.
Darius
Lux has a nice matchup intro Darius, due to her Crowd Control + Artillery poke in a short lane. However Lux has to be aware of Darius his Hook + W slow during gank setups. Thereby Darius his statcheck is insanely high whenever he gains target access.
Briar
Lux has a strong early laning phase into Briar, thereby Lux has 2 strong disengage tools against Briar her Berserk run in terms of her Lux Q 2 second snare / Lux E Slow Crowd Control. Later on Lux can struggle dealing with Briar Briar her statcheck if Briar ever gets on top of Lux with tenacity / slow reduction tools / Briar R movement speed.

Sett
Lux has an oke lane matchup into Sett, due to her long ranged artillery poke that deals well against Sett W damage taken into damage convert, which excels high bar of damage taken at once into more damage. Lux has to be aware of Sett E between allied Lux minions and Lux during trading and gank setup(s) —> This causes a hook into a stun effect that is very hard to escape from.
Kayle
Lux has quite a nice lane into Kayle, however Kayle scales very well into the late game —> Lux can still keep her at bay in the late game. Pre-level 6 -11 Luxs Passive does insanely well into Kayle trades and lane pressure. In this matchup Lux wants to artillery poke Kayle, separating her burst against Kayle R.
Nautilus
Lux has a nice artillery lane into Nautilus, However Nautilus can withstand Lux her poke lane slightly better due to his W shield. Lux has way better push and early game than Nautilus, however can struggle to withstand Nautilus his statcheck if he opts for Magic Resist+Shield. Thereby Nautilus his gank setup with R into Basic attack Passive or/and Q is insanely hard to avoid. Be aware of this and use minions and Lux Q snare to prevent it.
Ornn
Lux has an oke matchup into Ornn, this is due to her long ranged artillery poke and safety against Ornn Q+E knock up trade combo. Lux has an easy time early game, while having to respect this combo → especially in gank setup(s). Whenever Ornn gains access to magic resistance it will become harder. Be aware that Ornn can create items outside of base as well.
Viego
Lux has a nice matchup into Viego, this is due to Lux her crowd control, trading pattern and artillery poke. Viego can be a hard matchup when he gets ahead, due to Viego his E camouflage zoning oneshot pattern → Lux has to make sure to stay strong in lane and skirmishes early on. Lux has a very easy lane into Viego, due to Viego his bad target access on the mid lane thereby Viego E does not work effectively in the mid lane.
Riven
Lux has a decent matchup into Riven, due to Lux her strong short trade pattern existing from Lux Passives + Poke pattern(Riven E mitigates quite a lot here) into high burst. Lux has to be aware of Riven's first Q usage, which sets up the next cooldown of Q faster when used during this delay Riven can use x2 Q(existing of 3 Q’s each) faster in the same fight —> Especially with Riven level 6+ the damage check from Riven can be insanely high.
It’s recommended for Lux to take a combat summoner spell.
Varus
Lux has a nice matchup into Varus mid, this is due to Lux her Artillery range + Lux W trade pattern into Poke Varus. On-Hit Varus is very easy to face, AP and especially AD Varus can compete better into Lux, due to their increase of range output. Lux has to be aware of Varus his R engage that does very well in gank setup and has insane statcheck due to *Blight* stacks.
Graves
Lux has no early push but a great artillery lane into Graves. Graves cannot basic attack through minions, which makes trading very easily next to waves. However Lux should still respect Graves his statcheck close range and while being in range —> Especially while holding side lanes and walking back to the group.
Maokai
Lux has a nice artillery lane into Maokai, however she can struggle into Maokai his target access and immune gap closer, especially in gank setup(s). Its recommended to play with Cleanse against Maokai W/R. Maokai Mid becomes worse due to the lack of brushes for E damage.
Smolder
Lux has a good lane into Smolder, due to her artillery poke and strong short trades with Lux E + Lux Passive. Lux's goal in this lane is to prevent as many as Smolder stacks as possible —> Denying or/and Punishing Smolder last hitting minions or poke Lux with Smolder Q. Late game infinite scaling smolder can be hard to deal with for Lux.
Fiora
Lux has a strong early/mid Poke lane into Fiora, thereby Lux has strong tools to keep Fiora at bay —> Lux E Slow Q 2 sec snare. Lux has to be aware holding Fiora on sidelines and walking back to her team, due to Fiora her statcheck and Parry close range.
Lee Sin
Lux Q ---> Used well into in place Lee Sin dashes —> Lee Sin can move with ward dash still
Lux has an easy matchup into Lee Sin mid, however Lee Sin W max can make it slightly worse due to its sustained healing/shielding. Lux has a very strong and easy trading into Lee Sin, she just has to make sure to use minions to dodge Lee Sin Q’s well paired with Preventing Lee Sin *hook**insec* R kicks that knockback Lux to the wrong side during gank setup(s) and/or strong health advantage statchecks from Lee Sin.
Karma
Lux has a nice artillery lane into Karma, however Karma has a consistent shield to withstand better into it. Lux outranges Karma, but Lux needs to make use Lux Passive to gain lane priority and valuable trades —> It's important for Lux to respect Karma R W and regular W snare in gank setup, to avoid the high snare duration.
Jarvan IV
Lux has an easy artillery matchup into Jarvan IV, thereby she can shield against Jarvan IV his Q poke —> Keeping Jarvan at range is easy due to Lux E Slow and Lux Q 2 seconds snare as a response to Jarvan IV engages. However Lux has to be aware of Jarvan IV, his gank setup formed by E+Q and especially R terrain Cage.
Veigar
Lux has an easy lane into Veigar, this is due to her artillery out range while standing behind minions against Veigar Q poke. Veigar is an infinite scaling champ that tries to gain AP by poking Lux or/and last hitting units with Q —> Denying this is important for Lux, while pressuring Veigar out of lane. The most important thing is to deal with Veigar his cage, this is a really insane gank setup tool to force Lux her Flash / Cleanse or force a fight.
Recommended to play with Cleanse as Lux.
Tahm Kench
Lux has quite a good matchup into Tamh kench, this is due to her disengage tools and artillery range during lane. Lux has to be aware of Tahm Kench his W engage that has quite a far range —> this can be Lux Q snared before the end of the cast or dealt with on impact.
Lux has to be aware of Tahm Kench his tankyness which exists mostly off HP points, gank setup that has quite a long range and crowd control paired with a free safety card for his teammates on his R(Preventing one shots from Lux combo).
Vayne
Lux has a nice matchup into Vayne, this is due to Lux her artillery poke and outrange. Vayne has really bad waveclear which Lux could use to pressure her even harder and have earlier priority mid into Vayne. Vayne level 6+ can be hard to deal with for Lux, especially paired with Cleanse/Ghost summoner spell on Vayne —> Lux should make sure to respect this and use the short lane in her advantage against this all-in.

Rammus
Lux has a fairly easy matchup into Rammus, this is due to Lux her 2 abilities that can kite and pressure Rammus while being out of range. Thereby Lux her trading pattern is very effective due to Lux W into Rammus W + Passive to benefit from basic attacks on Lux Passive.
Lux has to be very careful of Rammus his insanely strong gap closer due to Rammus R crowd control immunity paired with Q movement speed —> Lux Q snare does not stop Rammus Q, however snares Rammus still.
It's recommended for Lux to take Cleanse against Rammus E Taunt —> Also reduces damage taken from Rammus Passive on W.
Nunu & Willump
Lux has a decent lane into Nunu, due to her artillery poke paired with Lux Passive output into melee Nunu. Lux has to make sure Nunu Snowball gets Lux Q snared to deny the snowball crash into Lux. Nunu has insane healing through lane with Q and roams a lot when on Mid —> Recommended to take Ignite for lane pressure in the early game.
Swain
Lux has a quite easy lane into Swain, due to artillery poke. however Swain E range matches very well into all other Lux spells. Lux's goal is to trade all her spells into Swain while dodging Swain E / W —> Denying infinite HP scaling and trading. Swain can be overwhelming to deal with for Lux, whenever Swain gets more items to gain a gap closer and withstand damage —> Lux has to make sure to dodge Swain E.
Pyke
Lux has a nice matchup into Pyke, this is due to Pyke his bad wave clearing until first tiamat item / Lux’s lane bullying. However Lux has to be aware of Pyke his engage + hook + Hail of Blades trades and Pyke his amazing gank setup with hook + stun.
Shen
Lux has an oke matchup into Shen, this is due to Lux her artillery range(Shen E dash range is not long ranged) and lane pressure < — > Shen can withstand a lot of Lux her damage due to Shen Passive shield and Shen W block which removes Lux her Passive on Shen or/and allied champion when used as Lux her Basic attack.
Lux has to be aware of Shen E+Flash gank setup and/or Shen R + other champion mobility.
Soraka
Lux is good into Sorakai, due to Lux her bigger range and shielding against Soraka her short Q spam —> Which should preferably be dodged to prevent Soraka healing and ally healing increases. Lux has to be aware of Soraka her E silence and insanely high healing during skirmishes. *Soraka Healing is strong into long fights and artillery poke*
Mordekaiser
Lux has a nice matchup into Mordekaiser mid, due to her long artillery poke and push.
Its recommended for Lux to take Ghost or a combat summoner spell to make sure Mordekaiser is kited / dealt with when close range. Lux has to be very careful with trading basic attacks for Lux Passive against Mordekaiser E *hook*, especially paired with Mordekaiser R and/or gank setup(s).
Kindred
Lux has an easy poke matchup into Kindred, Kindred does not get marks easily in mid either, thereby her scaling and extra range are delayed/slightly delayed. Lux should make sure to have good poke prio during the first scuttle spawn and consecutive spawns. Lux Passive and abilities should be traded before Kindred Third E(3 autohit ability) is enabled. Kindred Q dash has a low cooldown when used during Kindred W, be aware of several leaps.
Lux has to be aware of Kindred R preventing Burst Damage.
Udyr
Lux has an even lane into Udyr, this is due to Udyr his strong lane sustain due to Mantle (Turtle) stance (especially with Passive). Lux should pressure Udyr early on and create a lead out of this, always maintaining artillery poke + kite. Udyr gank setup isnt that amazing other than immunity Udyr E rundown into Lux snare. Udyr with Magic Resist items and his HP/Shield sustain can be hard to deal with later on.
Skarner
Lux has a strong laning phase into Skarner, this is due to her Lux Q snare that stops Skarner his main engage. Thereby Lux has the push and artillery poke lane for free for a long time early on. Lux can struggle into Skarner his strong statcheck during skirmishes and/or Chained crowd control ambushes from Skarner with E into R.
Vi
Lux has a better matchup into Vi mid, this is due to Lux her artillery range and poke paired with crowd control and shielding trade pattern. Lethality Vi however can trade insanely well when she is allowed to use her Q dash into Lux + follow up damage —> Lux should be aware of this, especially with lethality items on Vi.
Vi R is an insane ability to chase enemies and for gank setup, be aware of this as Lux.
Recommended to run as Lux, to mitigate Vi her burst damage.
Kai'Sa
Lux has an easy time in lane into Kai’Sa mid, she outranges Kai’Sa hard with Lux E artillery poke. AP Kai’Sa has longer range than Lux when there are no minions to block —> Both AP and AD Kai’Sa have an All-In opening once Lux gets crowd controlled by Kai’Sa her teammates or attacked by Kai’Sa herself. Lux has to be aware of this and an extra Shield on Kaisa has to be dealt with, Thereby Kai’Sa can position herself in front of Lux her escape route.
Shaco
Lux has a good laning phase into Shaco, however Lux her kill pressure on Shaco is not high due to the Shaco R interaction and slippery movement into Lux her spells.
Lux has an easier time into AP Shaco due to mitigation. thereby AD Shaco applies more consistent pressure and burst. Lux has lane priority at all times and can make a very easy lead into both AP/AD Shaco. However Lux has to be aware of AD Shaco his easy target access ***ination and his boxes.
Camille
Camille Mid lane has very bad hookshot points to function, which makes it easy for Lux to stay at bay and predict her engages. Lux wants to poke Camille and punisher for hitting CS, thereby creating a solid mid lane lead + having mid lane priority. Lux has to be aware of Camille her amazing gank setup at level 6 and Hookshot engages paired with Camille Passive shield, which makes trades very hard when allowed to dash upon Lux.
Vex
Lux has an easy lane into Vex, this is due to Lux her far artillery range into Vex. Vex is a short range Anti-Melee mage. Lux can pressure Vex really hard on mid lane, while having to dodge Vex her long ranged Q(Especially with Fear buff) into Vex E follow up —> Which is fairly easy to dodge due to its travel/cast timer standing at range distance. Thereby Lux has to be aware of semi global Vex R giving Vex insane gap closer + Fear gank setup.
Ryze
Lux does very well into the short range mage Ryze, Lux her artillery poke and fast short trade overcomes Ryze, thereby Lux gains stronger push earlier than Ryze. Lux has to be aware of Ryze 2 hit ability snare E+W / Ryze R during gank setup(s) —> Thereby Ryze his statcheck is insanely high, especially when he has gotten items. Ryze out-scales Lux, but Lux maintains her range to compete.
Malzahar
Lux has a good matchup into Malzahar, due to her artillery outrange and Lux E that removes Malzahar Passive and can still damage Malzahar after it's slow. Malzahar has good waveclear when his minions and E are active on the wave, which turns in favor to Lux in this matchup to have priority of the lane. Lux has to be aware of Malzahar his R during gank setups —> *Suppressing for 2.5 seconds*
Garen
Lux has an easy artillery lane into Garen, keeping him at bay at all times when she has her spell(s) up. However Lux can struggle to get priority and statcheck for skirmishes on the mid lane when Garen has some items to spin clear waves and is full/high HP.
Lillia
Lux has a very simple and easy artillery lane into Lillia mid, due to Lux her push and poke trade pattern. Lillia mid runs out of mana quite fast and requires more usages of her Q to gain strong movement speed to chase Lux. Its recommended for Lux to take Cleanse against Lillia R setup(the only fast reliable engage for Lillia paired with E hit.)
Rumble
Lux has an easy matchup into Rumble, due to her artillery(Rumble shield mitigates a bit of this), outrange and Lux Passive + Lux W trades into Rumble his Q range. Lux has to be aware of Rumble his E(cannot go through minions)and R slow that can give Rumble gap closer —> Using Lux Q as an answer. Recommended to run Ghost on Lux to make distance .
Karthus
Lux has a very nice matchup into Karthus, due to her long range poke and shielding.
Karthus has a lot of DPS in the form of Q spam, which Lux has to be careful of facing its statcheck paired with Karthus W slow —> This can be dodged as well if Lux is confident / better. Karthus has the ability to spamshove a wave for priority, for the cost of a lot of his mana.
Kha'Zix
Lux has an easy lane into Kha’Zix mid, due to minions removing isolation. Lux has a trading pattern and poke paired with maximized Lux Passive damage into Kha’Zix → which can statcheck Kha’Zix when fought without Isolation pretty easily during the entire laning phase. Later in the game Lux has to be aware of Kha’Zix isolation ambushes or statchecks due to heavy Magic Resist items or/and Edge of Night.
Rengar
Lux has a VERY easy lane into Rengar mid, due to the lack of brushes and gap closer Rengar has on mid lane —> This allows Lux to snowball very easily into Rengar and be safer against his level 6 and onwards R engages. It's important for Lux to not fall behind in this matchup and get Zhonya's Hourglass and/or Exhaust to deal with Rengar's guaranteed engage on R especially when Rengar has obtained items.
Heimerdinger
Lux has an easy lane into Heimerdinger, due to her long range artillery poke —> Outranging Heimerdinger Q Towers and E bomb(Trades with Lux Passive have to be done carefully against the Heimerdinger E bomb). Lux has to be aware of Heimerdinger statcheck through Towers and Heimerdinger R gank setup.
Brand
Lux does very well into Brand, due to her outrange artillery poke into short range brand, with slow poke on Ablazed minions. Lux has full control of the lane during all times, however Lux can struggle into level 6 all ins by Brand with bouncing R statcheck. This is very hard to pull off as Brand with Lux her 2 second snare / Slow Crowd Control.
Aatrox
Lux mid has a nice time into Aatrox mid, due to Lux her range + disengage against Aatrox E+Q and R movement speed. Lux can always keep Aatrox at bay in lane, however Aatrox with cleanse can be dangerous to face for Lux her 2 sec snare, which can be answered with Lux’s Q or/and E Slow.
Ezreal
Lux has a good lane into Ezreal mid, early on Ezreal is strong and has the push, which will turn in favor to Lux her first big component and item. Lux E poke while standing behind minions to block Ezreal Q is a strong and solid way to gain priority and an artillery win. Ezreal W goes through minions and can be activated by his Basic Attack or E, answer Ezreal E with Lux Q here.
Leona
Lux has a very simple and easy lane into Leona mid, due to Lux her push and poke trade pattern —> which is still fine against All-in trades from Leona. Lux has to be very careful against Leona her Q and R stun setup during gank setups —> Recommended to run Cleanse.
Kayn
Lux has quite an easy lane into Kayn, especially due to his transformation that Kayn tries to reach —> Normal (GREY) Kayn does not have a lot of benefits during the laning phase, thereby he can only gain Blue Kayn (faster) by attacking Lux —> which is hard to do as Kayn into long ranged Lux. Lux has a very easy artillery and prio lane into Kayn mid. However later game (BLUE / RED)Kayn with a strong oneshot build can be dangerous for Lux to face in an ambush situation, Be aware. —> Zhonya / grouping.
Amumu
Lux has a good matchup into Amumu, due to her range and kite into Amumu his mobility. Lux can fully bully poke Amumu out of lane with ’s and ’s.
However Lux has to be careful with Amumu his gank setup, since Amumu has 3 stuns that can be overlapped by him.
Hecarim
Lux has a strong lane into Hecarim Mid, especially due to Hecarim his mana cost on mid lane —> putting his strength down a lot due to purchase of mana item(s). Thereby Lux has easy disengage (other than Hecarim R) and poke.
Hecarim Q functions better when he has more uses of it against enemies(3stacks) —> Lux has more room to poke and be aware.
Poppy
Lux has a good matchup into Poppy, due to Lux her range / kite / push / trade pattern. It's really hard for poppy to engage on top of Lux and/or knock her into a wall on mid lane —> This allows Lux to play really aggro. Lux has to be aware of Poppy her R during gank setup(s) skirmishes, dividing enemy teammates away from each other.
Urgot
Lux has a fairly easy matchup into Urgot, this is due to Urgot his short range kit with short dash gap closer. Lux has to be aware of Urgot E + Flash combo that sets Lux in a bad spot if she did not dodge/Flash it (especially in gank setup) —> Urgot E sets Lux in a very bad spot to maintain distance.
Other than this Lux maintains her easy artillery pressure lane with Lux Passive's and Lux E's.
Shyvana
Lux has a very easy matchup into Shyvana, due to her outrange artillery poke and Shyvanas no threat of any all-in and gank setup until level 6 R —> This Shyvana all-in tool is very easy to kite away from for Lux as well with Lux Q snare answer.
Alistar
Lux has a very easy time into Alistar, due to her outranging poke paired with better lane shove. Lux only has to be aware of Alistar his amazing gank setup, which gets formed by Alistar W + Q —> This combo can be Flashed away from.
Nidalee
Lux has an easy matchup into Nidalee, due to her waveclear paired with trading pattern into Nidalee. Nidalee her waveclear mainly exists from melee cougar abilities that get punished by Lux. Nidalee has an amazing statcheck into Lux whenever she hits her Hunted mark on Lux, which is done by a Spear or/and Trap —> This is very easy to prevent while hiding behind minions for the spear and keeping track of lane traps.
Illaoi
Lux has an easy lane into Illaoi mid, always keeping her at bay/range with Lux E Slow and Lux Q 2 seconds snare, while poking her.---> Lux has to be aware of Illaoi E poke that puts a tether image of Lux, damaging her for a % part.
Trundle
Lux has an easy matchup into Trundle, this is due to Lux her disengage snare and slow always keeping trundle at bay —> Response into Trundle Pillar to compensate (Be aware of Pillar during gank setups). Thereby Lux has strong and consistent poke with mainly Lux Passive and E .
Taric
Lux has a very easy time into Taric, this is due to Taric being strong at short range and into physical damage(Taric armor gains and scalings). Lux is free to poke/push whenever she wants and have priority of the lane —> Lux has to be aware of Taric his insane healing when he is allowed to basic attack consistently + Taric Tether that allows his E stun and R to be cast upon + thereby Taric R gives him and allied units an immune to damage after a delay —> Lux her fast burst combo cannot be responded to instantly however.
Draven
Lux has a weaker statscheck and push on the first levels, However her poke and short trades with good movement can overcome Dravens strength. It's recommended to run arcane comet rune into Draven his strong early game. Lux should make sure to keep Draven at a safe distance —> Be aware of extra factors such as Cleanse and other mobility(Draven W) sources, Draven E slow —> Lux E Slow Lux Q 2 sec snare.
Miss Fortune
Lux has an easy matchup into Miss Fortune, due to her artillery outrange, trade pattern and disengage. Miss Fortune has the priority of the lane from early levels until Lux lvl 7-9.
Miss Fortune does not have any mobility abilities other than a slow and movement speed increase. Miss Fortune can be hard to deal with when she has Bloodthirster paired with late game damage.
Jhin
Lux has an easy time into Jhin mid, she outranges Jhin hard with artillery poke. —> Jhin has the early push into Lux, due to his Q bounce and consistent AD basic attacks. Lux is always out of range of Jhin and can poke him —> However Lux has to be aware of Jhin his gank setup on W and R.
Caitlyn
Lux mid has a decent time into early game Caitlyn, which will get way better really fast. Its recommended for Lux to take arcane comet to push Caitlyn out of lane with Lux E’s. Lux her spells have longer range than Caitlyn's range and it's hard for Caitlyn to get into range to trade. Lux should keep Caitlyn at a far range by making sure Lux Q snare,Lux E slow,Ghost,Flash are used and matched.
Aphelios
Lux E poke outranges Aphelios his abilities and basic attacks while the wave is mid lane, Lux only wants to short trade and spend her ability + Passive AA . However Lux has to be aware of Aphelios PurpleGravity Weapon slow and/or snare gank setup.
Twitch
Lux has a very easy time into Twitch mid, due to her range advantage, trade pattern and disengage, however this disengage is hard to gain when Twitch uses his Q aggressively while walking around(very dangerous during gank setups and/or Twitch with items). Overall Lux has an easy time into AP Twitch and AD Twitch, but can suffer from them on Twitch R outrange.
Ashe
Lux has a very easy poke lane into Aske with Lux E's. Thereby Lux will always have the push into Ashe as well. Lux only has to be aware of Ashe her R Crowd Control and Ashe Slows on W and Basic Attacks.
Teemo
Lux has a good matchup into Teemo, this is due to Lux her artillery range, Lux W against Teemo R / E and fast trades —> Thereby Lux can hold Teemo at a distance very easily. Lux has to be aware of Teemo Passive, being stealth to gain gap closer cheese into Lux. (this is very hard to gain in mid lane due to the lack of brushes however).
Senna
Lux has an easy matchup into Senna, due to her artillery outrange poke and push advantage over Senna her bad push. Senna loves to trade with 2 autohits and/or abilities → Denying this reduces Senna's scaling potential. Lux has to be careful of Senna her heal/shield utility and Senna W snare during gank setup(s).
Thresh
Lux has an easy lane into Thresh, due to her shield + short burst trading pattern while Keeping Thresh at bay due to Thresh his bad mobility. Lux has to be aware of Thresh his insane gap closer paired with *Lantern* W ability that brings a teammate towards him (also as disengage)
Milio
Lux has a good lane into Milio mid, milio mid has very bad push and trades, especially long extended Lux trades with Lux Passive output. This is because Milio relies mainly on his E shield to trade well. Lux can have a slightly harder time into Milio during the mid/late game due to Milio R, cleansing all crowd control on himself and teammates —> Preventing Lux her full combo when Milio is nearby.
Rell
Lux has an easy matchup into Rell mid, due to Rell mid lacking a lot of wave clear and is not the best at trading —> Artillery poke from Lux prevents getting engaged on by Crash down, because Rell needs this shielding to stay healthy.Lux has to be aware of Rell's amazing gank setup only.
Bard
Lux has stronger poke / trade / push than Bard at all times, however Bard is an infinite scaling champ with strong roam potential. Lux should try to prevent Bard from roaming during the lane(Pushing Lane / take Plates) and/or use Teleport to match him.
Jinx
Lux has an easy time into Jinx mid, she outranges Jinx early on with Lux E artillery poke.
Lux is always out of range of Jinx and can poke her. However Lux has to be aware of late game Jinx with Rocket Q range scaling.
Blitzcrank
Lux has a stronger statcheck / push / poke than Blitzcrank at all times. However Lux has to be aware of Blitzcrank has his amazing gank setup with hook + knock up.
Lux can hold Blitzcrank at bay easily with Lux E slow and Lux Q 2 sec snare.
Rakan
Lux has an easy matchup into Rakan, due to Lux her shielding into Rakans short burst trade. Thereby Lux has mid push and artillery pressure at all times. Lux only has to be aware of Rakan his fast engage paired with R+W, and always Lux Q normal Rakan W.
Sona
Lux does very well against Sona, due to Lux her bigger range and shielding against Sona her Q poke. Sona has quite a bad solopush and will lose priority of the lane to Lux very hard. Lux has to be aware of Sona her R crowd control that setups very well in gank setup(s) and Sona her empowered basic attacks they Slow or Reduce Lux her damage.
Lulu
Lux does very well against Lulu, due to Lux her bigger range and shielding against Lulu her short trade of spells. Lulu has quite a bad solopush and will lose priority of the lane to Lux very hard. artillery poke pressure on Lulu is harder to gain due to Lulu her shield however.
Renata Glasc
Lux does very well against Renata Glasc, due to Lux her bigger range and shielding against Renata Glasc her short trade of spells. Renata Glasc has quite a bad solo push and will lose priority of the lane to Lux very hard. Lux has to be aware of Renata Glasc her Q/R crowd control that setups very well in gank setup(s) + Renata Glasc W preventing death for herself or ally.
It's recommended for Lux to take Cleanse against Renata Glasc Q/R Crowd Control.
Nami
Lux does very well against Nami, due to Lux her bigger range and shielding against Nami her short trade of spells. Nami has quite a bad solopush and will lose priority of the lane to Lux very hard. Lux has to be aware of Nami her Q/R crowd control that setups very well in gank setup(s).
Janna
Lux has an easy time into Janna mid,. due to always having the push / winning trades into Janna her W or/and Q with Lux artillery abilities and W shielding / Lux being range into anti melee Janna peel kit. Lux has full control during the laning phase and side lane into Janna with very easy trading.

(Threats show one of the hardest matchups we can possible face (Doesn't have to be in mid lane) --- Synergy is formed by having AP damage + CC + Peel + Value from heal / shields / any damage buff effects / removal of Crowd Control).

Yes it does work on bot lane.
- Every Lux spell can be used as *Zoning* Spell.
thereby you can use; can be used as *fake* damaging projectile. +or+ simultaneously to cover up more area to hit an enemy.
