Foreword

To everyone who reads this.
The build you see up there won't make you immortal, they won't make you a *better* player either.
If you overextend thats it, what equip you have with Malzahar won't matter.

Beware that i never have played ranked, but someone who is lvl 30 should be able to modify my builds to work in ranked game won't he :D ?

So please only vote down, if you have tried this build, reat the guide and have found something that makes it worth to downvote.

And to the others, please leave criticisms on what I could do better (after reading the guide ofc) and what your stats at the end of YOUR games with Malzahar were ^^.

I am sorry that my English is not one of my best aspects.

Trolls? O.o please go here --> This place is made for you.

This guide is not up-to-date as i don't play like that anymore. I changed many aspects in my gameplay these builds have some good points but i would never use them anymore.
I will still leave this guide here for it can still be a help to some of u. (vs Champion section, item explanations etc.)

Introduction

Good day community.
Today i want help players to play with Malzahar,
especially since he is free to play this week and I already bashed my head on my keyboard thanks to some player who are new to Malzahar (Teleport and Heal on Malzahar, Call of the Void first maxed out, ...).
He is the first hero I bought and remained my main since then.

Malzahar is a nuker, means he will deal insane damage and after that is food to the enemy.
Here this guide comes in.
I will try to help you to not become feed for the enemy and to help your team archieve victory.

The Legend of Malzahar

Many men have gone mad beneath the glare of the Shurima sun, but it was during the night's chilling embrace that Malzahar relinquished his sanity. Malhazar was born a seer, blessed with the gift of prophecy. His talent, though unrefined, promised to be one of Runeterra's greatest boons, but destiny plotted him another course; his sensitivity to the roiling tides of fate allowed other, unwelcome things to tug at his subconscious mind. In his dreams, where the veil of separation is thinnest, a sinister thing beckoned. For some time, Malzahar was able to resist its prodding solicitation, but with each passing night the voice grew louder, or perhaps deeper, until he could withstand the call no more.

He ventured into the desert without supplies, drawn by the lure of a specious charm. His destination: a lost civilization to the east, known to ancient texts as Icathia. Few believed such a place ever existed, and those who did were certain that the sands had long since devoured whatever remained. When Malzahar's cracked feet finally failed him, he found himself kneeling at the base of a bizarre crumbling obelisk. Beyond it lay the alien geometry of a ruined city and the giant decaying idols of dark and horrific gods. His eyes, seeing what others cannot, and what none should, were filled with the essence of the Void. His once shifting visions of the future were replaced with the immutable promise of Valoran beset by creatures of the Void. Standing alone, but not alone, amidst the echoing dunes, he noticed the familiar voice escape his own lips in a parched rasp, bearing three words whose weight trembled his knees. League of Legends. Now infused with the power of the void itself, Malzahar set off to the north to seek his fate.

"The land may melt, the sea may swell, the sky may fall... but They will come." - Malzahar

Summoner Spells

Not much to say here. Only 4 spells should be considered.

A great Spell for Malzahar, it does damage over time, and cuts the heal of your enemy in half. Ignite CAN be used during your Ulti, but beware it has a shorter range than you Ulti.

An alternativ for Ignite. Exhaust slows down your enemy, makes his atacks slower and weakens his abilitys. If you are hunting someone and your ultimate is not ready this can get you the kill. Note that it makes hitting with your Call of the Void much easier.

A pretty good spell for Malzahar, not only can it save your life, people hate your flash away from Dragon through wall, but is great to get close to scared enemys to use Malefic Visions followed by your Nether Grasp and Ignite. In most cases you won't have the time to add spells to this combo and the enemys against who you realease your full combo should not be scared of you to that extend that Flash is needed.

An alternativ for Flash, makes getting closer to enemys, and getting away from enemys easier, not much to say otherwise exept that when you are slowed, Ghost won't help as much as Flash does (through walls).

Masteries

To 9 Points in Offense is nothing to say. They are a must have for every Caster DPS.

One could put some points in the defensiv tree, but thats just not my thing.

I go for Utility 21.

1. put 3 points in either Perseverance or Good Hands , who are very underrated.
(If someone sais : "Lol dude imma not gonna get killed!" than kick his face, please!
Lategame Good Hands can decide if your Inhibitor falls or not.
The remaining point in the other one.

2. Awareness is only usefull to help at your lvl 6 kill against people like Cassiopeia.
so we go Expanded Mind which helps you with your mana trubles.

3. Go for Meditation for the same reason. Greed is overrated so we take Utility Mastery , which is quite usefull becourse you have to get Baron for CDR (Cooldown reduction).

4. Blink of an Eye will help you, take it! Quickness is never wrong, take it too!

5. Intelligence is as OMFG as a mastery talent can get, Mystical Vision is ****, put the remaining point in Utility Mastery.

6. Presence of the Master not much to say, it's awesome.

Runes

pretty much self explaining, no other option here.

Greater Seal of Replenishment you have no mp5 items, so you will need this.

if you have no mana trubles, when you get mp5 items.

you'll level fast in most cases when you are mid.

this runes in case you don't or you want to rape early game.

when you get MrPen with Voidstaff these runes are the better option. They make you hard to ignore early game.

DON'T TAKE THIS, JUST DON'T. I don't even know why these things are calles "Quintessences" they only do double the MrPen that Greater Mark of Magic Penetration grants.

Abilitys

Summon Voidling (Passiv)

After casting 4 spells, Malzahar summons an uncontrollable Voidling to engage enemy units for 21 seconds. Voidlings have 200 + 50 x lvl Health and 20 + 5 x lvl Damage.
Voidlings Grow after 7 seconds (+50% Damage/Armor), and Frenzy after 14 seconds (+100% Attack Speed).

Without these little beasts Malzahar just wouldn't be Malzhar. They are your trademark and very helpfull. Earlygame they give you a huge damage boost and get your last hits on minions. They are a danger to enemy champions as well.
It's wise to use Call of the Void 3 times at the beginning of the match to instant summon one Voidling on your lane.
Beware you won't have that much time if your team goes to gank at the start of the match (junglers or wait in bush).
Voidling are also usefull to take Skillshots, they saved my *** many times.
Note that Voidlings can help towerdiving when your prey runs to the tower, your Voidling should be still following him, running in towerrange and getting atacked, while you can walk in to put Malefic Visions and maybe a Call of the Void on the enemy and walk away unharmed, since they take a while to do damage and force the towerfire on you.
With your voidlings assist getting Blue Buff is a pice of cake, just Call of the Void, Malefic Visions the minons surrounding your prey and have your Voidling summoned. Now run out of moverange of the golem, he will now atack the next target, which is your Voidling ,who should go into tankymode while being atacked. Now just empty your Q, W, E on the Golem to make him fall, don't worry you'll rest enough mana afterwards :) .

Call of the Void
Malzahar opens two portals to the void. After a short delay, they fire projectiles which deal 80 / 135 / 190 / 245 / 300 (+80% of ability power) magic damage and silence champions for 1.4 / 1.8 / 2.2 / 2.6 / 3 seconds.

Cooldown 9 seconds | Cost 90 / 100 / 110 / 120 / 130 mana | Range 900

Call of the Void is a very usefull ability. It hits the enemy twice, means it can break through SpellShields with the first and hit with the second.
The silence can decide teamfights in you favor.
Call of the Void is also great for harasment early game and farming late game.
Aiming Call of the Void is very tricky, for the enemy will want to evade it, means they move around a lot and move away from you. To hit well calculate the enemy's movement, sometimes aiming behind a standing Champion will hit him becouse he runs from you in most cases.
If you aim correctly it is possible to kill all the Wraith at once.
With most of my builds you will lack mana early game, that makes the usage of Call of the Void which is also only lvl 1 very much a "luxus".
Call of the Void is also good against advancing enemys like Kennen, if he goes into lightning form just aim at your caster minions.
You can use this skill at enemy towers and run, it's damage is delayed so that your are out of towerrange when it hits.
Beside your Nether Grasp this is your only CC, use it to break channeling abilitys, for example Katarina's, Nunu & Willump's, Fiddlesticks or maybe even Karthus Ulti.
Note that silence won't help against Tryndamere's immortality, it can be triggered even when he is supressed!

Null Zone
Malzahar creates a zone of negative energy for 5 seconds. The zone deals 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9% (+1.25% of ability power)% of the target's max health as magic damage each second, with a minimum of 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 / 65 (damage to Monsters is capped).

Cooldown 16 seconds | Cost 90 / 100 / 110 / 120 / 130 mana | Range 800

This is quite an evil Ability, it does % damage which is really great against Tanks, you will melt them away. Try to hold your enemy on the Null Zone with your Nether Grasp.
This ability is also very usefull to scare of the enemy, just pop this ability at a tower and most Champions will retreat. If not, show them your other Abilitys.
When you chase an enemy Null Zone can sometime get you that last hit, for it takes on lvl 5 with 800 Ap 19% of your enemys health (without Magick Resistance that is).
This ability is most usefull against low MagickResistence high Health champions, try using it on Vladimir while you hold him with Nether Grasp, that alone kills him in most cases.

Malefic Visions
Malzahar infects his target's mind, dealing 80 / 140 / 200 / 260 / 320 (+80% of ability power) magic damage over 4 seconds. If the target dies during this time, the visions pass to a nearby enemy and Malzahar gains 10 / 14 / 18 / 22 / 26 mana.

Cooldown 15 / 13 / 11 / 9 / 7 seconds | Cost 60 / 75 / 90 / 105 / 120 mana | Range 650

This is your "bread and butter". This is a farming skill pa exelance.
Not only is it a DoT but it also jumps to another enemy after the target died.
For each jump you will get Mana, on level 1-2 6 bounces on level 3-5 5 bounces are needed to restore your mana. Note this spell jumps to the nearest enemy within it's range, means that you can pop this on the melee minions, and atack the canon minion for Malefic Visions is far too weak early game to take him down. After 3 ranks in Malefic Visions you should be able to clear a full minionwave with 1 Malefic Visions.
Furber wrote in his Malzahar build (which you definitly should read):
"Lets say that 2 squishies are very hurt and are retreating. Put MV on one of them, if they dont split up, you can end up getting a double kill since it will transfer to the other hurt squishy. These double kills are extremely satisfying, especially when two squishies gang up on you and you hit them down to low hp and put MV on one of their faces."Which is very true, most people just underestimate it's damage and I hope you will make them pay for this.
In most cases this ability will give you lanecontrol and free harasment over you enemy.
Note that you can have 2 Malefic Visions out at the same time, but they won't stack !
This Ability is the main reason why i don't buy mana items. If you obidently push your MV than you will have no mana trubles.

Nether Grasp

Malzahar channels the essence of the Void to suppress the target (stuns and disables summoner spells), dealing 250 / 400 / 550 (+150% of ability power) magic damage over 2.5 seconds.

Cooldown 120 / 100 / 80 seconds | Cost 150 mana | Range 700

Malzahar is one of three champions that have a suppression ultimate, the other two being Urgot and Warwick.
This is your most badass ability, well used it's a sure kill ability, if used badly it will take you to the grave earlier.
This will make you 1 on 1 unbeatable, only Tryndamere, Malzahar ofc, Zilean, Quicksilver Sash, Banshee's Veil, Gangplank and Olaf can bring you some truble, but in most cases you will prevail or both will die (Tryndamere).
In Teamfights don't hesitate to break channeling spells or catch fleeing enemys using your Ulti.
Once i played on 3v3 against a Twisted Fate who wanted to rape our lowlife Nexus using his Ultimate. The instant he popped up he had Null Zone below him, Call of the Void at him and Malefic Visions on him, but for god's sake our Nexus had only 200 health or so, so i had to pop Nether Grasp on him. We won the fight some seconds after that becourse we destroyed their nexus ^^.
If you are about to get ganked while you use you ulti, breaking it up is not a bad idea, especially if the upcoming gank has stun, silence, supression becourse they will stop your ulti.
Note that Quicksilver Sash only breaks your supress effect, not the damage.
While Nether Grasp you can use Ignite, Clarity, Heal and Cleanse, but not Zhonya's Hourglass.
Note that your ultimate is not affected by Tenacity from for example Mercury's Treads
Back to Top

Ability Combining

-> -> -> -> -> -> -> -> Autoattack with and

This is you sure kill combo, ofc you only use the summonerspells you actually have ;).
In most cases you don't have everything ready or don't need the whole combo.
According to the enemy you change your combo.

Note that Null Zone always goes with Nether Grasp for the enemy will otherwise run off (an exemption are Teamfights and Tower defending or scaring the oponent away).

On scare squishys at level 6 you sometimes need to Flash in, Malefic Visions, Nether Grasp, Ignite and then Call of the Void them for they will run away when you try to use Null Zone or Call of the Void earlier, also Null Zone and Call of the Void should only be lvl 1 at this time and do less damage than Malefic Visions.

Things that can annoy you are Zilean, Tryndamere or stuns, silences, supressions, spell shields and such kinds.

Items

The order and the builds are at the next chapter.

Now the hard part begins, what should our bashing badass guy wear ?
Hmm he's a mage, so maybe a hat ? Books and Staffs are also very fitting .... and why not some flashy accessory that sais "Dude I AM important !".

So let's see what we have in storage.

Rabadon's Deathcap

You will want this item, well it would look like **** if one would wear it but it gives you 155 AP and +30% AP, and what do we want more than to bash out damage ^^ ?

Mejai's Soulstealer

Well this is a stacking item, if you have 20 Stacks you have obviously pawned the enemy, if you have more than 5 it is still worth the cost, otherwise you sould take Morello's Evil Tome or stop playing Malzahar.

Morello's Evil Tome

An alternativ to Mejai's Soulstealer in case you dislike stacks. It gives AP, Manareg and CDR means it is very usefull. If you are unsure weather you can get stacks together, be it becourse the enemy is a hell or your Sion steals every kill, this should be considered.

Sorcerer's Shoes

These your your good old Shoes, they have proven their worth and are very usefull.
When the enemy casters are a pain to you, mobility can help in avoiding their skills.

Mercury's Treads

Only take those if the enemy has OMFG many CCs.
Note CCReduction is now Tenacity. 1 Tenacity reduces most CCs for 1%. Tenacity does not Stack, it does stack however with CCReduction from Skills.

Void Staff

The enemy has Magic Resistance ? Oo take this Staff, it'll help. I get it in most cases for I have few Magic Resistance Penetration so the 40% are very usefull.

Rylai's Crystal Scepter

Now this one is hard. Note that it only reduces for 15% becourse you abilitys do either over time or AoE damage. However I am greatfull to those 15% for they brought me many kills and i could save Flash for harder encounters.
The other main reason is the Life it grants and the AP are also very nice.
Should you dislike this item, take Rod of Ages or Archangel's Staff if you don't need Life.

Abyssal Scepter

Well it gives AP, flat MrPen and MR so it's good against Casters. Otherwise don't take it.
Note: If the enemy is out of reach then the MrPen is in vain.

Banshee's Veil

One of the best defensiv Items, it's great against CCs for they will hit you first in most cases, becourse the enemy doesn't want to be hit by yours. Additionaly it gives MR, Life and Mana, so it's good against Casters for it will take in 1 Nuke and help defend against the others.

Quicksilver Sash

Another very underated defensiv Item. It has a Cleans Active, means it will break through supressions and other CCs. Therefore it is great against a CC heavy Team. The MR is just some nice extra. This is also the best item to use against enemy Malzahar ^^

Deathfire Grasp

It's another nuke for the nuker, nice eh? ^^
It does % dmg of the enemys CURRENT Health. It CAN BE USED WHILE Nether Grasp. In addition it gives AP, CDR and Manaregen, so a very usefull Item.
Note that it scales with AP for 0.001 AP for 3.5 %, means that every 100AP it does 3.5 more % damage. Epic against Healthstackers. An alternative for Lich Bane

Rod of Ages

Gives Mana, Health and AP. With time it gives more of that. Not much to say otherwise, it's a nice item. I just can't seem to find a slot where it could fit in.

Archangel's Staff

Difinitly useful. It gives a huge Manaboost and a huge AP boost. Again my problem i can have only 6 Items. This item gives you over 100 AP without another manasource (Rod of Ages, Banshee's)

Doran's Ring

A usefull alround item early game, you can take it as your first item.
If you don't want to, go for a Health Potion and a Amplifying Tome.

Will of The Ancients

Well AP + Lifesteal ? Ap - yes, Lifesteal - can i exchange for more AP?
The lifesteal is just not the best for Malzahar, there are more useful items.

Lich Bane

This item is my favorite. It's my sixth item and gives another little burst. It makes you faster, gives some AP, some MR and a nice effect that let's your next AA hit with you AP. With this item Malzahar can take down towers and rapes the enemys even more. I like it, if you don't this can be exchanged for Deathfire Grasp. Strange ... a mage with a Blade.

Guardian Angel

... a Mage with Armor ? O.o
Yes, Guardian Angel is a very strong item for Malzahar with this you will survice Teamfights even though you are focused. After your rebirth you should be able to use your skills again to deal more damage if need be. Additionally it gives MR and Armor, ... not bad at all.

The right Build against the right enemy

As you can see I provided 6 builds

The Team 1 build is the standart one, use him against well balanced builds.

Builds in Team two are specific to the enemyteam.

The first one is against a caster heavy Team. Use it when your enemy has many AP Chars like Cho'Gath, Malzahar(thats you !), Annie, Anivia, LeBlanc, Cassiopeia, ... .

The second is a counter build to a CC heavy Team. It's great against people like, Warwick, Irelia, LeBlanc. (Also good against people like Mordekaiser (utli can get cleansed))

The third is against very tanky enemys, means Galio, Mordekaiser, Nunu & Willump, Shen, Rammus, Jax ... .

The fourth is my personal experiment, very strong but few survivability.

The fifth is for Twisted Treeline (3v3).

Laning

Here are some tipps on how to play the mid in 5v5, solo 3v3 or sololane against 2 enemys.

Midlane 5v5

In most cases you'll clearly dominate.
You can push, but watch out for MIAs and for the Jungler (get a Ward).
Don't be agressiv at the first two levels, otherwise you will get OOM (out of Mana).
When you have Malefic Visions lvl 2 and your Voidling you can push it through Minions. Canon Minions need to we weakend or your DoT will run out.
At this stage you will see if the enemy has experience facing Malzahar, a newb will get hit by you Malefic Visions as it bounces.
If you can make you enemy think he is king do so. Once you reach level 6 he is gone for.
Should you be able to gank do so, your teammates will love you. Don't gank if you lose your tower becourse of that.
Once you reach level 6 you need to position yourself so that you can pull of as much of you Combo as you can. This will grant you a kill and stacks.
Now just repeat the last step. As long as you are 1v1 you get freekills. If the enemy is the Tower's bestfriend then push ONCE to let you minions die at his tower.
Then position yourself in his Minions so he can't get closeto the XP unless he is willing to deal with you (called Zoning).
You can Zone your enemy before lvl 6 when he is really scared of you, but note that this will make you the target for ganks and junglers or that you could provoce a laneswitch.

Solo 3v3 toplane

I really love playing 3v3, becourse you will get enemys that normaly would never go solo against you early game.
Most things are like 5v5 only that there is no jungler and you need to react faster to MIAs.
Another major diference are the bushes. you can use them well against enemys, becourse you can have you pet attack and use your DoT without be seen for a long time ( only DoT usage, not the bouncing). For this reason you have the advantage up there. Note that your Flashspell can come in handy here. You can either port through the wall to gank bottom or to escape unseen. You can also flash to dragon and vice versa.
Sometimes after I recalled I go to Dragon waiting there for my prey to atack my minions, there you are lucky ... sometimes ... and can unleash you Spells through the wall at your enemy. This is in most cases unexpected and you can kill him. Flash through and then kill is also an option. Since you won't get as many kills as in a 5v5 match Mejai's Soulstealer can be exchanged for Morello's Evil Tome which is very usefull becourse 3v3 has no bluebuff (CDR).

Solo against 2

This is the master discipline. If you can get this done you are one step closer to awesomeness.
If the enemy has CC you will be in need to stay close to your tower.
5v5 you shouldn't step near bushes and not near the river.
In most cases you will solo uperlane in 5v5 and leave the mid to your ranged DPS ( Ashe).
Your Malefic Visions is as usefull as always, pop it and push it if it's lvl 2 or 3.
When you get your Nether Grasp don't waste it, use it for the gank that should come. If noone comes ask them to do so.

Champions - Who is the hunter and who is the prey ?

This Chapter will deal with Champions you may face in your lane and some tipps on how to deal with them.

Katarina
I just hate her. There is no worse enemy for you. She can dominate the lane against you using her bouncing knifes and hits you at the same time with quite some damage.
Her Ultimate ( Lotus something) is really horible and if you have Nether Grasp not ready you are ****ed up ( Call of the Void is just to slow to save you).
Fighting her is just all or nothing, either you or she will die.
Therefore wait for her to use her Bounding Knife or Shunpoo, then close in Malefic Vision, Call of the Void, Nether Grasp, Ignite her and hope she is dead.
If she isn't she'll run away and you should still have lost only a little Hp.

Cassiopeia
Not as easy as it looks. This Snake can pull some annoying harasment on you. She'll dominate the lane against you and will try to harass you on mass. To kill just wait for her to use her Miasma (the purple poison, not the one with snakes), and then go for the kill.
It's really helpfull to get lvl 6 before her, since her Ultimate is a pain in the ***, either Stun you or slow you if you run away. Don't underestimate her, NEVER, her Twinfangs will rip you apart otherwise.

Caitlyn
Quite hard becourse of her range. Either run around like a guy on speed or remain behind the minions so that her peacemaker can't seriously harm you.
Beware that she crits with the eighth shot, try to create some space so she wastes this one on you minions.

Brand
He is one annoying nuker, he will just rip you apart when he gets you. Try to trick him to use his AoE Flame. Look out for his mana, for his abilitys are very costy. All in all he is a very OP Nuker, watch out. Timing can get you your lvl 6 kill easily though, wait for him to use his abilitys on minions, when they are on CD you can go in and rape him, if he is low on mana you can go in and rape him.

Malzahar
Nice paring ;(
Against this one your skill helps. He's in the disadvantage when he has no Ignite and no Flash. When he doesn't skill his Malefic Visions he's a n00b and you dominate lane, geting earlier to lvl 6 and at least then get your kill. If you are the n00b, well thats ****, just go "Malzahar and Tower BFF 4 evar!" or wait for a gank.

Teemo
Little treat to you, when he goes in to atack you atack him. You do more damage and his blinding dart is of little use against casters. Look out for Shrooms, he is not likely to need them in the bushes, for you are the one pushing him against his tower so he will find other uses for them. Once he overextends it's your feedtime. You can try to Zone him but make sure no Jungler/Gank is going to help him. When he is pushed you can sometimes go gank other lanes.

Vladimir
Most overrated enemy. His heals just can't keep up with your damage. Just make shure he is hit by Malefic Visions from time to time. When you Flash in he will vanish into that red blob on the ground so you have to be really fast to go for a kill. So just harass him to death and go gank when he needs to go back.

Vayne
On what I have seen she is just a pice of cake in the middle. Just don't let her harass you, don't try to Call of the Void her sometimes use Malefic Visions on her and you will have you kill at least on level 6.
Her stun(that piercing attack) is of little use in the middle for there should be no walls that she can push you against. Expect a gank and or a laneswitch.

Urgot
Quite trublesome. When he hit's you with the green bomb his Skills autoaim at you. Thats ****. Buy Sorcerrer Shoes early to escape this green bomb and you will win. He is greatly outfarmed by you.

LeBlanc
She will go for all or nothing. She can silence and Snare you and does incredible damage.
She can farm well with her jump, and is all in all very annoying. Once you reach lvl 6 you should be able to kill her. Just look out that you suprise her with your Flash and Combo to win.

Karthus
The I-WIN Button Guy.
Evade his Bombs and go for all or nothing and you will win. Not much to say otherwise. He can harass you well and is able to outfarm you. A gank is very usefull other wise lvl 6 is his grave. If you can Silence him he is pretty much ****ed. Shoes are useful to evade those bombs. To counter his ulti Banshee's Veil could help very much lategame.

Akali
Raremid, she is not a treat till level 6. Once she reaches her ulti she can rush at you and will do some decent damage. Be sure to keep you Nether Grasp for this or you are ****ed up. Otherwise she is just a piece of cake. When she stealthes just use Null Zone to drive her out of her Fog.

Kennen
Really, I LOVE PLAYING AGINST THIS ONE.
He is just horrible. His atacks are easily evaded. His ulti is weaker than yours. And often he will rush at your minions in his caster form. You can harass to death and or go for all or nothing and you will win.
Keep the marks this guy has on you in mind. He stunes you once he reaches a certain amount. Go in for a kill if you have none.

Ashe
Not really a treat. She will try to harass you to death, just stay behind your Minions to evade her Volley. When she goes to AA you just show her some of your magictricks.
Dangerous when she has your Ultimate. It can stun you and does damag, but it can be evaded.
If you overextend or Flash at her she will want to use this. Keep that in mind. Without her ultimate she is just easy prey.

Anivia
She is really annoying. She has everything one could hate, a stun, slows, AoEs and she can revieve herself with that ugly egg.
She will harass you well. Shoes are a must have to evade her attacks.
If you want to kill her don't try to harass her to death, wait for a Gank or if you must go all in. You will not need your full combo at the beginning. Use Call of the Void, Malefic Visions, Nether Grasp on her to kill her once. Ignite Null Zone Call of the Void to kill her in her egg form.

Ezreal
He is bad at farming.
In most cases he will go AD and will focus on harassing you. Make sure to land Malefic Visions on him from time to time. Once you reach level 6 he is dead. Stay behind you mindions and boots are usefull against his Skillshots. Beware that he can Blink over short distances. His ultimate is hard to evade and does nice damage, but it would be worse if the guy would go AP so be happy.

Fiddlesticks
I hate this guy. His Ultimate is hard, he can fear and the drains your life.
He can farm with his bouncing crow that will silence you, but only for a short moment.
If you want to kill him, just Malefic Visions him, he will now heal himself on a Minion.
Now is your chance to kill him. His main damage has CD and you can rape him for his ultimate needs to be channeld. He is a piece of cake once silenced and suppresed.

Janna
Is wrong placed in mid, just kill whenever you want.

Kassadin
You arch nemesis.
He is annoying with his blinking and silencing.
Make sure he needs to use his ball on minions to get gold. He will towerhug. He will go oom in most cases thats when you can kill him. When he reaches level 6 be ready to get atacked from him. If you life after the atack use your combo at him. You can easily put Malefic Visions on him when he get's close to the Minions.
Once he is hurt to about 1/2 his Life you can try to Zone him.
Most ganks are in vain against this guy, when he reaches level 6. Try to flash supress him so you gank can attack.

Kog'Maw
Very annoying fellow. You can hardly Zone him or stop his farming. He has a huge range, especially when he reaches level 6. He is easier to handle when he goes for AD.
If you want to kill him go for all or nothing. A gank is helpful.
Beware that he can kill you with his pasive making it a draw. Shoes are very useful.

Miss Fortune
Not much to say here. Trick her to use bullet rain, don't stand close behind minions, and harass her. Her Ultimate does damage but can be evaded by stepping out of the area.
Go all or nothing and you should win.

Mordekaiser
You will hate eachother. You will rage for him killing your minions and raising his shield and he will rage for you killing his minions and destroying his shields. Once you reach level 6 and can empty a good combi on him he is gone for. Once he is killed it's very hard for him to keep up with you. His Ultimate can be cleansed. Don't stand in your minions. Stand at the side so he either farms and kills minions or atacks you. Either way you can land your skills on him fairly easy.

Nidalee
Evade the spear. Harass her, she won't be able to keep up with heal. Once she is weakened go for the kill. Not much otherwise.

Lux
She means truble. She can harass and Farm well. Don't stand in a crowd of mobs, stand behind them so her stun won't get you.
Her shield is no real problem but her ultimate Finales Funkeln (lol german ^^) can do huge damage. Go for all or nothing with her and you should win, otherwise something is wrong.
Also note that her abilitys have a long cooldown, you can use this to atack her when she can't attack herself. Her Ulti on the other hand has a very short cooldown (around 40s I think), which is bad news to you. Her ultimate can be evaded if you are fast and have a feel for when she uses it.

Sivir
She has an annoying Spellshield and will harass you the higher her level gets. Stay behind miniond to get less damage from her Bumerang which has a HUGE range. She will try to get your spells on her for her Spellshield brings her mana when it is broken by you.
Otherwise she does little damage. Just go all in and she is done for.

Swain
He is really annoying and hard to fight.
He harrases well and can catch you. Shoes are a good solution against him. His ultimate regs him and does damage to you, but drains his mana enorm. harass him so he has to use it. Once he has little mana you can kill him easily.

Tristana
I like her ^^.
Annoying to fight though. She will rape your minions, stay away to not get splash damage.
If she doesn't want to fight you her ultimate can push you away. Her rocket jump makes her an extremly mobil champion. Stay concentrated and harass her. Once she is low Flash, Nether Grasp, Ignite and Malefic Vision her for she will push you away as fast as she can.

Twisted Fate
In most cases AD.
Just make sure to harass him to death. When he wants to atack you he will draw a GOLDEN CARD, thats you signale to run. You can take him by suprise and will kill him in most cases with Flash and your Combo. His 3 Card throw is easily evaded. Tell your teammembers when he reaches lvl 6.

Twitch
If he apears in front of you just rape him with all your might. He will go down very fast.
You can harass him well and dominate the lane.

Veigar
Beware this little sucker will blow huge damage at you. Once you are stuned beg to god you survive. If you survive he is yours to kill. You can harass him very well and if you deny him lasthits he is in a huge disadvantage.

Zilean
A really anoying person. He can harass well and farm well. His ultimate will save his *** many times. Go for all or nothing is my advice, be prepared to take 3-4 bombs to kill him at level 6.

Ryze
The good old OP Ryze.
Don't let yourself be fooled, he was not as hard nerved as he deserved.
He will be tanky and deal huge damage with his red ball and Stun.
If he uses red ball on a minion go in to kill him fast, for his spells only have a very tiny cooldown. You can harass him well and once he is weakened you can just go all in to kill him.

Morgana
in my top 4 of worst enemys in mid.
Her damage is not bad, she can stun and will farm well.
Her spellshield can be devastating in a all or nothing fight. So try to trick her into using it with Malefic Visions her or something like that, once it wears off go all in and hope for a kill. Evade her stun be standing behind creeps.

Afterword

Well well well, that was some huge load of work. I hope it helped you and remember, this is only a guide which will try to "guide" you. It won't make you immortal and you will need to practise in order to get everything right. Don't be frustrated if you have 0:2:0 against Kata early game. Try again later so you will see that you will own her lategame.
And if n0bs say " FU Malzahar come 1 on 1 and I'll rape you", take his invitation ^^.

I hope i could help you and remember:
