Master Yi is a very troll champion. We are going to take advantage of this troll feature of his in any game that you play. First off he can be a very good laner. Second, his healing ability with Meditate is very nice anytime of the game and can be used to tricking enemies into a false gank. Wuju Style has a nice passive which will give you bonus damage and and active which will double that bonus for 10 seconds.

His Alpha Strike can be used to finish off minions or to catch up with a team gank. Master Yi's final is really THE BEST in my opinion. Highlander gives you bonus attack speed and movement speed and also when you kill and enemy champion, it refreshes your cooldowns. Overall Master Yi is one of the best AD or AP carry's in the whole game... PLUS HE'S ONLY WORTH 450 IP!!! This build is not complete yet so please wait till it's done.

Also has armor penetration and attack damage just for that boost.

Some alternatives can be Greater Mark of Critical Chance and Greater Mark of Attack Damage.

First I would recommend: Doran's Shield because in the beginning, Master Yi has quite low armor like all other champions. Next we should buy a regular Boots. This will help in early game to chase champion(s)/run away from champion(s). After we farm up enough gold, we can take an Berserker's Greaves to get that 25% attack speed and extra movement. If you have enough gold left, say around 500-800, then we would build on the Phantom Dancer by first buying either the Brawler's Gloves or the Dagger. Bloodthirster should be next for that 12% lifesteal. After that getting the Infinity Edge should be priority. Last but not least, you should build on the Frozen Mallet. The Frozen Mallet gives Master Yi a ton of health plus some attack damage. Then because of it's passive, slows your opponent so you can just chase them down.

First for skill sequence, we would ALWAYS get Alpha Strike first because of it is the only ability with Master Yi that does damage :). Next you can level either Meditate or Wuju Style. I would rather go with Wuju Style because of passive bonus.
Then ofc you should get your final. That Highlander of Master Yi's is like an Olympic race on steroids! You could follow the rest or go with your own, as long as it helps.

Surge is by far the best summoner spell there is for Master Yi in early game. Most people probably don't know of it's capabilities. First it gives you 35% bonus attack speed and 10-78 AP depending on level. Use that along with Highlander and Wuju Style active, you have maximum attack speed to get the most of your DPS.

Exhaust is very good to use anytime. Such as early game, when you need to gank their squishy character by using exhaust. This summoner spell slows them and if you have summoner's wrath you reduce their armor and MR by 10. Having this gives you a huge advantage at getting first blood in the game than anything else.

As I showed, getting the items in that sequence will give you the best advantage at getting fed early game. Phantom dancer right before any AD items because combined with final, you move like Teemo but faster :).

The runes gives you attack speed, crit damage, armor penetration, and AD.
These will boost some of Master Yi's strengths and gain that advantage in kills.

Masteries are good as it is, giving offensive stats and defensive stats. The mastery Summoner's Resolve gives you awesome stats and helps with your exhaust. Others like Alacrity will give you attack speed boosting Master Yi's strenth on AS.

Team battling with Master Yi can sometimes be important. In situations such as: A 3 Warmog's Armor plus 2 Thornmail built Cho' Gath, you can have a hard time killing him by yourself.
That is why you need your tank and another person to go in first so you do not get ********ED by the other team. Other than that you are fine soloing one lane while your team handles the others.
