Wukong is an assasin, he specializes on killing squishys and he can impact A LOT on teamfights with his ultimate ability Cyclone. He has a fun to use kit since his W Warrior Trickster makes you invisible, that means that enemies will fear you even if you're not near them. And the best part about Wukong is that he's a monkey! Who doesn't love monkeys?

With Wukong you'll want to gank when you either have your level 3 or your level 6.
You start by leaving a Warrior Trickster in a bush, then when you're invisible Nimbus Strike onto the enemy you want, then use your Crushing Blow on them. If you have your ultimate ability you do the same combo but right after you use Crushing Blow inmediately use Cyclone.

With Wukong in teamfights you will be focusing the squishys, flank and then use your Warrior Trickster to become invisible, use your Nimbus Strike to gapclose onto the enemy you want, use Crushing Blow to shred their armor, and finally use your Cyclone. By the time you finish that combo your target should be dead and you'll still be on your ult, then you'll want to move around the whole enemy team to knock them up and then run away to safety. This will help your team to follow up on your initiation.

STARTER ITEMS

You buy this instead of Hunter's Talisman because wukong utilizes auto attacks rather than AOE abilities to clear camps.
It's better than going 3 Health Potion because it reffills when you come back to the shop, that means you don't have to be buying extra Health Potions everytime you back.

EARLY BUYS

A must buy early. It gives you damage and lethality. It build into your two core items, Duskblade of Draktharr and Youmuu's Ghostblade.

If the enemy jungle is AP and someone like the midlaner who can roam a lot and skirmish with the jungler is also AP, buy this. Gives you damage, magic resist. The passive gives you a shield that activates when magic damage gets you to low health so this mean that this item is really good against AP Burst.

If you're thinking of buying mobis do it early as it will help your ganks with the out of combat moblity speed. You should sell these and get defensive boots once the game reaches mid or late game.

CORE ITEMS

Warrior gives you a lot of damage and cooldown reduction. This item will upgrade your smite (More on wich one you should choose later).
Gives you damage, lethality and cooldown reduction. The passive sinergizes really well with wukong's kit so this will be your firs core item .

Gives you damage, lethality, cooldown reduction and active is really good for ganking, teamfighting and escaping.

SITUATIONAL ITEMS

Gives you damage, lethality and health. Buy this if the enemy has hard cc that could prevent you from initiating or killing the backline, like Malzahar's ultimate Nether Grasp.

I usually almost see myself building this item but i still think it's situational. You buy cleaver when your team is full ad, the enemy team have a lot of tanks or you need a little bit of survavility.

You build it if the enemy has 1 or more tanks because it gives you armor penetration.
Good versus healing champ because it applies grievous wounds, this means that the enemy healing abilities like Darius Q or Soraka's W will heal less.

Build it if the enemy team has 2 or more AP champs. It gives you damage, magic resistance and cooldown reduction. Same passive as Hexdrinker but it's better.
You build this versus enemys that have hard CC because of the active. It also provides life steal, damage, and magic resist.

Build it if you need a bit of tankiness and also if you think you're the win condition. It's really good for engaging because if you die and your team followed up on your R engage you can revive and participate on the teamfight.

BLUE SMITE

You go blue smite if the enemy team has a lot of champions that could kite you or have high moblity because with this smite you can slow them so you can catche up with them fairly easy.

RED SMITE

You go red smite if the enemy team has a lot of melee champs like bruisers and assasins because you can reduce their damage with this item.
