Introduction

Yes my friends, this is the one and only NUNU BOT.

Nunu is a tanky support mage that is one of the Best Junglers in the game at the moment and the Best Counter-Jungler in the game in my opinion. His awesome jungling skill Consume along with his very short CD ganking skill Iceball is what makes Nunu a jungler. Nunu is a really easy to learn champion, jungling or no jungling, he is great in any team. Nunu also is only 450 IP so you can pick him up quickly without farming matches. He is a underrated champion and its sad as Nunu can wreck face if played correctly. This is a quick guide to get you the basics of Nunu's jungling and gameplay.

Be warned though that Nunu is NOT the champion that gets a 10-0-0 K/D/R, Nunu assists anyway he can so if you're looking for a killer/assassin play Akali.

Nunu's Skills

Passive : Visionary
Nunu & Willump can cast a spell for free every 7 attacks

This is a great passive early game as you will most likely be jungling, also good to harass in lane with this passive. Kind of weak late game though.

Q : Consume
Nunu & Willump takes a bite out of target minion, dealing 400/525/650/775/900 true damage and restoring 125/180/235/290/345(+1) health.

This is his jungling move, the reason he can EVEN jungle. It can speed up his jungle (the reason he's one of the fastest junglers out there) and it can save his life sometimes in battle by consuming creeps. Put 1-2 points in it early game though as its pretty limited.

W : Blood Boil
Nunu & Willump Increases an allied unit's attack speed by 25/35/45/55/65% and movement speed by 11/12.5/13/14.5/15% for 15 seconds. Nunu also gains the effects of Blood Boil if cast on an allied unit.

You will be spamming this move late game and I personally think its one of the better buffs in the game. Just make sure unless no one is around you that you ALWAYS buff an ally as you also gain benefits for Blood Boil when cast, so there's no point to only buffing yourself.

E : Ice Blast
Nunu & Willump throws a ball of ice at an enemy unit, dealing 85/130/175/225/275 (+1) magic damage and slowing their movement speed by 20/30/40/50/60% and attack speed by 25% for 4 seconds.

This is your Bread and butter as a ganking tool and a great move altogether. The slow is strong and can really hurt later.

R : Absolute Zero
Nunu & Willump, while channeling for 3 seconds, slows nearby enemy units' attack speed and movement speed. After channeling, enemies caught in the area are dealt 625/875/1125 (+2.5) magic damage.

I love this move, not only does this move have one of the best AP ratios(IF not the best), but this Ultimate really HURTS!!! if you catch them with the full duration. You can also cancel the move early to give a slight hurt to the enemies.

Runes / Masteries / Summoner Spells

Runes

Marks

x9 Greater Mark of Alacrity
I picked these Runes because It allows me to proc my passive a lot more and late game allows for some serious pushing.

Seals

x9 Greater Seal of Resilience
This is great for jungling and for later in the match you can tank more.

Glyphs

x9 Greater Glyph of Shielding
These runes aren't the best early game but late you can tank spells with 24 extra Magic Resist at lvl 18.

Quintessences

Greater Quintessence of Desolationx3 Greater Quintessence of Desolation
Armor Pen is great for Jungling can be used for ganking. You can also use Greater Quintessence of DesolationGreater Quintessence of Resilience to tank more.

Masteries

[*] Plentiful Bounty, for Jungling (Its a must)
[*] Archmage's Savvy, because the AP boost is good and the other 2 are garbage for Nunu
[*] Hardiness, For jungling and tanking later in the match
[*] The Utility Tree, because all junglers should use it, more smites and longer buffs.

Summoner Spells

Flash
Flash has so many uses and it is required for landing great ults with Nunu.

Smite
Smite is REQUIRED!!! for jungle, take it plz if you are jungling. Don't if you're laning.

ignite
Ignite has many uses like stopping heals from a support and securing kills

Cleanse
Cleanse should be taken if they have a heavy CC team + its good to get away/catch up

Items

His beginning is questionable to start out. If you are going to counter jungle then grab,
, , sight ward

This will be discussed in my jungling part of my guide.

If you're just going a standard Jungling path or going to lane then grab,
, 5x

This will allow you to later buy a Guardian Angel and 5 Health Potion for jungling (or laning).

I will only say this once, Rush Banshee Veil!!! It is the main item, the item he needs to pull off many of his ultimates without total fail. Great health, mana, and the spell shield to protect you.

Afterwards grab a Philosopher's Stone so you can earn easy money while you farm for a Ionian Boots of Lucidity. Then go for a Glacial Shroud for armor and CD, but don't finish it yet, you first need Aegis of the Legion for the extra support then finish Frozen Heart. After that Go for a Guardian Angel and finish your set by completing Philosopher's Stone into a Shurelya's Battlesong

*If you decide to go total AP then I would grab,

Skill Sequence

Q > E > Q > E > W > R > E > W > E > W > R > E > W > W > Q > R > Q > Q

I go in this order, for LvL 1-4 you can wreck the jungle creep for the enemy jungler if they have one by leveling up Consume and Ice Blast fast, Blood Boil isn't that great early game, then LvL 7-11 just keep leveling up Ice Blast and Blood Boil, and at the last few levels finish up Consume.

Creeping / Jungling

Always start at blue, have your team keep watch and pull your blue. But before you do that check if the enemy has anyone watching by their wraiths, if not go to their wraiths and Consume a blue Wraith. Why? easy because when you finish blue you will not only gain a lvl faster but also slow their jungler if they have one. This is the art of Counter-Jungling.

(*Useless if they DON'T have a jungler, read on in the next section if they have a jungler and you want to Counter-Jungle*)

If not counter-jungling then you want to go a standard jungling route listed below and gank accordingly and ward near dragon/baron. There are also jungling tips you should know listed on another section.

Start jungling ->Blue/lizards, Wolfs, Wraiths(Yours), Red/lizards, then mini Golems<-Repeat

Here are also times when creep camps respawn (Creep camps spawn at 1:40)

Wolf camp:
*Respawn in 100 seconds

Mini Golems:
*Respawn in 100 seconds.

Wraith camp
*Respawn in 100 seconds

Red/Blue buff camp:
*Spawn Time: 1:55
*Respawn Time: 5:00

Dragon:
*Spawn Time: 2:30
*Respawn Time: 6:00

Baron Nashor:
*Spawn Time: 15:00
*Respawn Time: 7:00

If you're laning then allow your laner to last hit and Consume a creep when its up. (If your laner doesn't know how to last hit then do it yourself.)

*Counter-Jungling as Nunu

This is why I told you to buy a ward, when you're done with Blue/mini lizards, go to their Red and place that ward in the brush (Place near the edge where you can see their Red) and go eat their mini Golems, then continue to go for your wolfs(or gank top/bot if they need help). This will slow the enemy jungler very badly as you already ate the blue wraith and their mini golems. If you spot their jungler going to red, call in a gank to him/her and destory (or scare) their jungler, then steal red. If you don't spot the enemy or he didn't go to it, then procede with your normal jungling route. Continue to harass the enemy jungler by invading his territory and either attacking him/her or stealing his creeps. Don't forget to gank if they need help. Some of the Junglers listed below can be really fast/unpredictable and can be hard to counter-jungle against.

here are some Junglers you could be fighting

Warwick

Warwick is probably one of the easiest junglers to fight against. Warwick is one safe, yet, SLOW jungler and can be really easy to counter-jungle.

Rammus

Rammus is also a really easy jungler to counter-jungle. Rammus relies on staying alive and is always weak so when you see him, 9 out of 10 times he will be weak and flee. Though watch out for his ganking skills, he is good at doing that so ward often when he's around.

Amumu

Amumu can actually jungle really well so he can be annoying. Ward his red early (before minions spawn) and keep a eye out for him. Try not to fight him though, as he can wreck you if he's a good player.

Xin Zhao

Xin Zhao has gotten more annoying to counter-jungle against and most likely be good at jungling. I would plain out ignore counter-jungling him unless your brave and believe you can accomplish it.

Gangplank

Since the newer patch buffed gangplank and now he can jungle.....hard. He can blow though the jungle and can be really hard to fight back if you attack him. Avoid him as he can heal and slow you down (Though you can still keep watch for him and steal if possible).

Fiddlesticks

He can jungle, slow, but try to avoid him as he can fear/drain combo you. Steal when possible because fiddles is slow at killing minions.

/
Lee Sin and Master Yi

Not together, but they are actually surprisely strong in the jungle for one reason. They usually don't start at blue, and this can be nearly impossible to counter-jungle against.

These just some of the junglers (or at least popular ones). There are more but these are the ones I wanted to point out.

Jungling Tips

Just a few tips you should keep in mind when you are jungling

1. Don't Force/sit around too long for a Gank

This is probably the Number 1 problem many players make when jungling, rushing/waiting too long for a gank. If your team is pushed backed to their tower with 25% Hp and the enemy is 90-100 % Hp, Don't rush the gank, be patient and go in at the right time by pinging. This also applies for the other way, the opponent is tower-Hugging and your partner is pushing too hard, don't force a gank at the enemy tower and "attempt" to get a kill. Be patient, watch the lanes and call your ganks. If they don't need you, then continue to jungle.

2. Ward the rivers

Be sure you ward the dragon and baron to protect your lanes and to protect dragon. Trust me, it can save lives in the laning phase. It can also secure dragon and screw enemy junglers if they do it.

3. Don't steal exp/gold from lanes

This is also a big problem when it comes to junglers. They come to lane with a fail gank, steal half the exp and take a creep or two. Its your duty to allow solo lanes to gain as much exp and gold as possible. This doesn't apply though if they call you to hold a lane or if they're having trouble with their lane and they need you.

4. Don't EVER die in the jungle

I think this is simple to explain. If you die in the jungle, you lose respect from your team. Dying to a creep/enemy jungler means that lose the red/blue buff and slows your jungling dramatically. Its ok to port back after doing some creeps to buy boots or another item of the sort, but once a buff is gone to a creep, its gone for 5 minutes, which is long.

Mid game (20 - 35 minute mark) and End game

During Mid Game game give you red/blue buff to carries/mages as you don't need them anymore.

Push, push, and push some more! This is all you will be doing Mid-End game. If you get in a fight, flash in (or don't if you're already in the middle of the battle) and ult as fast as you can. Even if you don't get the full duration or got stunned it helps as you slow all the enemies, then continue to Blood Boil allies and Ice Blast the weakest/closest enemy.

Again if you're going a tanky build, build around what you team needs, if you're going a burst build then go straight AP and target the weakest links.

Summary

Overall Nunu is extremely great early game and can help late game with blood boil.

If you're having trouble jungling, then lane with someone as he can lane good as well. Nunu can be weak end game but has the power to absorb stuns by using his ult, helping your team out.

I thank Riot for creating such a fun champ and I also thank Angry Goran (Youtube channel) for getting me into Nunu and making me buy Nunu bot skin (I love it :D).

Nunu is now one of my favorite champs and I hope everyone enjoys my first guide :)
