Introduction

Hey guys! Ezreal is by far my favorite champion and I did that guide to share my experience and thoughts with him.

First of all, unlike most ADCs, Ezreal is an AD Caster Marksman that gains attack speed when he hits enemies with skill shots then you will rely on you aim to maintain and match another average Marksman damage output.

Even if you don't plan to use him in Ranked Games, Ezreal's learning curve is very gratifying, one of the best champions to practice skill shots and very fun to play.

My English is very rusty and I'm full of language vices so, feel free to correct me when needed.

Runes

Why Kleptomancy? Isn't Press the Attack better for a Marksman?
In my opinion, keystones in Precision is generally the bests for ADCs but how Ezreal is different and doesn't stacks attack speed or even build critical chance, Kleptomancy is more suitable as it improves your early game and speeds up your power spike.

Biscuit Delivery gives you sustain so you don't need to buy potions and increase your mana cap permanently by 40 mana.

Minion Dematerializer look really better than the other options as Ezreal have clear wave problems and it really helps him cover that weakness.

Get Cosmic Insight to get 5% CDR early and cap 45% CDR later or Approach Velocity if you have a CC oriented comp(especially support) or plan to build Iceborn Gauntlet(becoming a kiting monster).

As you need to deal sustained damage, use Precision as secondary tree mainly because of Cosmic Insight(Never go OOM on team fights), Coup de Grace(Against less than two tanks) and Cut Down(against two tanks or more).

Items

Start Doran Blade in most games and Doran Shield in abusive lanes like Brand, Malzahar, Caitlyn, Zilean, Lux, Zyra etc.

Try to buy Tear of the Goddess in your first back to base if you plan to play safe and stack it ASAP or Sheen if you think that trades are in your favor and you can snowball easily.
When rushing Tear of the Goddess, go for Sheen into Manamune to get some AD and reach the Muramana power spike faster. If you went Sheen first, take Tear of the Goddess and finish Trinity Force into Manamune.

Unless you are desperate to dodge skill shots as Rocket Grab, Death Sentence or Piltover Peacemaker you can skip your boots until you have Manamune and Trinity Force twice. Ionian's Boots of Lucidity is go-to for standard Ezreal. When in trouble pick Tabi Ninja or Mercury Treads for its defensive stats.

Now that you have your core items are time to think about maintaining your damage keep going. If the enemies are stacking armor(Frozen Heart, Iceborn Gauntlets, Thornmail) take Last Whisper or Blade of the Ruined King if the enemies are staking heal(Sunfire Cape, Righteous Glory, Warmog's Armor) instead. If any enemy has no tanks, you can go Draktharr Duskblade for extra burst, lethality, and cap cooldown reduction.

Choose Guardian Angel when the enemy team as assassins like Zed, Rengar, Kha'Zix etc. Go Maw of Malmortilus when the enemy team has at least two AP champions or to get rid of LeBlanc, Katarina, Karthus, Brand etc.

Mercurial Scimitar can be useful against Malzahar, Cassiopeia, Warwick, Sona, Varus, Nasus and some others.

Only take Mortal Reminder against SELF-healing champions like Cassiopeia, Dr. Mundo, Fiddlesticks, Mordekaiser, Singed, Vladimir, and Warwick. Remember IT DOESN'T AFFECT healing on other champions like Soraka's Astral Infusion(W), Taric's Starlight's Touch(Q) or Nami's Ebb and Flow(W) only cutting healing when they use those abilities in themselves.

Skill Sequence

Max first Mystic Shot(Q) because you are an AD Carry and this ability has the best AD ratio(125% AD) of the four, it applies on-hit effects(mainly Sheen, Life Steal and BoTRK) and refreshes all ability cooldowns by 1.5 seconds every time you hit something(Champions, minions or monsters).

Max Arcane Shift(E) to get more mobility and synergize with Mystic Shot(Q) passive.

Max Essence Flux(W) last because you aren't building any AP and it has any AD ratios. You can use it in yourself(W-E) or an ally to maintain the passive to take towers faster.

Spells

Even with Arcane Shift, you can't afford in taking Flash and like any other Marksman, Heal too.
Barrier or Exhaust can be useful if a wild Zed has appeared and in this case, your support should take Heal.

Team Work

During all game, keep an eye on the minimap to get some kills, steal buffs, drakes and barons with Trueshot Barrage(R). Look at this like an exercise in your map awareness.

You will notice one cool thing about Kleptomancy. Before a team fight starts you can land some Mystics Shots on wandering enemies to get some juicy Elixirs, Potions, Wards or any other useful stuff to give you some advantage.

While team fighting, always stays on the backline, behind a tank(Top, Jungle and/or Support) or even a single fighter.

If your team won the team fight, without putting yourself at risk, use your mobility to chase remaining enemies and your ultimate to execute them if possible.

When you lose a team fight and still alive, kite back landing Mystic Shots to create a possibility of re-engaging for your team if possible.
