I just feel that the slow percentage that Command: Dissonance grants, not to mention that after the recent patch it is now her most damaging spell, it could be put to more use. Perhaps even just switching your 7-10 levels so that it starts with Command: Dissonance instead of Command: Protect. As an AD bot those levels are crucial because both parties just got their ultimates and a lot of damage is likely to accrue because of that.

Glad you see just how good Exhaust can be on this build :)

Don't forget that a Ruby Crystal is also part of the recipe for a Phage which eventually will get turned into the Frozen Mallet. That being the case your rebuttal for not getting it doesn't really fit.

If you want a Wit's End, and I feel you should, you should scrap the Lich Bane. I personally love the item, but the fact is you don't have enough ability power for it to really fulfill its intended purpose. If you are running around with 500 AP then converting that to Attack Damage every two seconds is absolutely amazing, but with you capping at just under 200, it really isn't worth it. This is kind of leading to my next point.

What I found when experimenting with my builds is that the order in which you buy your items is just as important as the items themselves. Now by this I don't mean: Malady, boots, Ionic Spark, Nashor's Tooth, blah blah blah. I mean filling your 5 slots with items that build into those while consistently raising the lethality of the champion. This is why I despise Rod of Ages on Orianna, it just takes waaay too long to see a damage increase on her. Here is a proposed purchase order, but I'm going to leave out the Ionic Spark and replace it with a Wit's End and include my Frozen Mallet so that you can try it out and see how it works for you. Note I did say 5 spots so that you have room for wards. There is only one point in the below purchase order, and it is a ways down, that you don't have room for wards anymore.

First buy: Dagger, Health Potion
Second buy: Dagger + Boots
Malady
beserker's greives
Dagger + Ruby Crystal
Stinger
Recurve Bow
Phage
Giant's Belt
Frozen Mallet
Wit's End
Recurve Bow
Nashor's Tooth
Madred's Bloodrazor/ Guinsoo's Rageblade

Now granted this isn't set in stone, but it does consistently make you more powerful throughout the game. The attack speed awarded by Wit's End negates the need for Ionic Spark because at this point the only perk is the passive which is not as important as the MR you are getting from the Wit's End when you consider you have to get up close and personal due to Ori's range only being 525. Granted Ionic Spark is great for farming, but in 1v1 instances it really isn't all that useful and in team fights it isn't reliable due to minions.

Anything you decide to use is fine by me. Anything you feel doesn't fit your play style is also fine by me. In my primary build I have made several decisions that have gotten me a lot of flack, but I've stuck to my guns and changed a few minds :) Remember, no matter how many people say that something is just wrong, the fact is that if you enjoy playing this champion in this particular way, there are other people out there that will feel exactly the same way about it and THOSE are the people you are writing your guide for. Never forget that because there are times when you'll just want to throw in the towel and say "F it...."

Also, little known fact, you can +Rep someone once a day :P

I don't even know where to start concerning the amount of thanks you deserve. I shall try out your suggestions and make changes to my guide accordingly. Truth be told, I actually do have a point in Summoner's Wrath when I actually play by this guide. This will be changed.

The reason I rank up my Command: Protect first is because it makes enemies think they have more on you than they really do, which makes for a fun and easy 1v1 encounter with anyone. Plus a quick Q, W, E combo for harass or in a fight really makes sure you come out on top. I have considered and tried your suggestion about evenly leveling up Command: Dissonance and Command: Protect, but I will stick with just maxing it. This will not be changed.

I have yet to attempt Exhaust instead of Ignite. I think your reasoning behind getting Exhaust is incredible, so it makes me anxious to try. I will see about changing this in the future.

Items: Ionic Spark or Frozen Mallet/early Nashor's Tooth? I believe that Ionic Spark needs to stay in the build. That Ruby Crystal comes at a perfect time in the game to help your survivability scale with the enemy's damage output. Plus, every 4 auto attacks (which come out like machine gun bullets) proc an extra 100-or-so magic damage single target plus a few enemies around your target. I'll play around with this and see exactly what I can do to keep my precious Ionic Spark and also get a Frozen Mallet. Speaking of changing items, if you can help me with some suggestions for moving items around/in/out of my build, I definitely need to get Wit's End in there. The on-hit magic damage makes me go GIGEDY.

Thanks so much for your constructive criticism! I didn't take any of it as an attack and I even gave you rep. You are the best and I hope you can help me work out something out with my items.

@Frstypwn

AP/AS does work, but to be honest I believe it works much better on Twisted Treeline than on Summoner's Rift.

@Calleb

So I'm going to do a full breakdown of your guide. Take what you will, but a +rep would be appreciated since I am putting a bit of time into this :) Please don't take this as an attack, this is simply me sharing hundreds of hours of testing with you to help make your guide the best it can be.

First off, I like that you are thinking outside the box with her and I love seeing all of the new guides that come out and show different ways to play my favorite champ. I am curious though that since most of your damage comes from auto attacks and you are most likely to be facing an AD ranged since you will be bot, wouldn't Exhaust do you more good that Ignite? Essentially what it would come down to is, "Do my auto attacks do more damage than yours?" In these situations an early Exhaust which will reduce incoming auto attack damage by 70% while also slowing your enemy can just be invaluable. Exhaust also ends up being extra helpful because you can easily position the ball with Command: Attack and follow the end of the Exhaust with a Command: Dissonance to give you a 4.5 second slow overall. If by this time you are unable to kill them with your auto attacks then I'm sorry, you're just doing something wrong, lol.

As a helpful pointer, if you use Ignite or Exhaust you should take a point in Summoner's Wrath so that you bring those summoner spells to their full potential. I have also found from extensive testing that if you put 1 point in Brute Force and 2 points in Butcher you will have a bit more luck with last hitting and will end up doing quite a bit more damage throughout the game than you will get from the 4 points in Mental Force .

I also question the 5 points you give to Alacrity and Weapon Expertise . The 4% increase in attack speed doesn't make a huge difference and you don't even count it in the runes section where you show that with your runes and a Dagger that you are up to 25%. Also the 10% armor pen that you get from Weapon Expertise doesn't really do much since in the end this is an On-hit build. Most of the damage you are doing is magic damage, not attack damage. If your enemies note this then they will buy magic resist, nor armor. Because of this the Armor pen is pretty much useless since at 30 armor, with 10% armor pen, and an auto attack of roughly 40, you'll do less than 1 attack damage more at early levels. I'd scrap these 5 points if I were you and maybe put 1 point into Demolitionist and 2 points into Havoc . Just my opinion, but this allows you to have two spare points for you to put into Resistance and Hardiness to give you the most armor and magic resist available.

Why do you put 3 points in Good Hands ? I mean, being dead for less time is always nice, but the way I see it, you should try not to die more than you should worry about how long you're dead. A good Orianna player does not die often because she is an amazing escape artist that can get out of many situations if played correctly. I just feel these points are better suited elsewhere... even getting a bigger mana pool by placing the points in Expanded Mind will at least give you more of an advantage while you are playing instead of while you are dead waiting to play.

Do me a favor, try evenly leveling up Command: Attack and Command: Protect evenly. You might like it more than your current setup because you get to keep a decent shield that scales with you and you also get to lower the cooldown on attack with each level so that the game gets faster throughout instead of just at the end of the game.

Also, just as a test to see how you like it, buy the Stinger instead of the Ionic Spark. Then invest in a Frozen Mallet after-which you would complete the Nashor's Tooth. I know this seems odd and somewhat counter productive, but the 30% slow that you get is much more important to your entire team than the attack speed and passive from Ionic Spark. In late game team fights a single auto attack can be what keeps a fleeing enemy from getting away from one of your allies. Again, just try it out, I'm pretty sure you'll like it. This also makes it so that you don't max your 2.5 attack speed as quickly when you are using Guinsoo's Rageblade which is nice because no one likes to waste money on something they can't have.

Okay, that's it for now. I hope you found the information I put forth helpful and I really hope you try out a few of the options I presented. If you have any questions about anything Orianna related I am more than happy to help :)

Great job on the guide and happy hunting :D

I think you have waaaay too much attack speed there, usually 180% is enough to top it off.

This is the formula I use:

Attack speed = Base attack speed * ((bonus%1+bonus%2+100)/100)

Here's how it goes(I should have included this in my guide): For the last two items, if you get two attack speed items, you will hit the cap. For example, if you get a Guinsoo's Rageblade, after a few attacks you will have 2.5 attack speed, therefore you won't need a Madred's Bloodrazor and vice versa. I will fix the confusion ASAP. Thanks for informing me! +Rep to you!
