I am Graves main. I played Graves a lot. I think that Graves is useful pick for every comp. I will talk about builds and my playstyle.
Graves is tanky version ADC. Many Graves mains found out, that Graves is lethality abuser. Back then, Graves was ADC only, now he is playing other roles, such as Top, Jungle, ADC and also Mid. in Season 7-8, Graves was best jungler in the game. Graves was very good with old Ult animation cancel trick, but Riot removed it and changed Graves career. Graves mains started bringing him back to meta. Season 8 was the time. Stormrazor abuse. It was succesful Graves item. But after the Season came Season 9. Riot reworked Stormrazor and we lost hope. It became charge item and no critical strike. But in Season 10, Graves can make a big comeback. They will rework Stormrazor AGAIN. YES! They will also add new lethality item which is broken at the moment. We will see what is going to happen.
Stormrazor build is a high damage out put build. It must contain 1 lethality to work. Stormrazor basically slows. Thats why we use it.
Lethality items are overall good and succesful items for Graves.
I don't recommend using Alacrity. Bloodline is much better on Graves. 1. Alacrity wont scale much on Graves + you get enough attack speed from Sanguine Blade.
Red smite is more worth using on Graves than blue smite. Blue is good if you are going to gank every time. Also blue smite is good for Stormrazor + Approach Velocity. Red smite is better for me. It is good in 1v1 battle and for fast burst combo.
I dont actualy buy full boots. I will buy full vs full ap team comp. I will stand on default boots or magical footwear.

I will farm first 6 levels and then i am looking for big play to happen. Before 6, i am trying to find free kills for laners or in jungle. Ofcourse it depends on who i am against.
ALWAYS COMMUNICATE. If you are climbing, always communicate with teammates. Dont be rude or ,,toxic,, against teammates. Use pings and use team chat.
