Play around your support and try not to tank her rockets early on
Yasuo
Yasuo can block your qs and your ult which makes it annoying to lane against,. If yas gets a good engage support like alistar rakan or nautilius then dodge.
Ziggs
Just like other ap botlaners, just annoying. his w can mess with your stacks and the location where your q is gonna land makes it easier to land his.
Ashe
Play around your wave and you win level 2 if you hit it first. She scales nicely into mid and late game but just do your best to not die to her freely and not let her play the game.
Aphelios
You outdamage him early but because of his kit it becomes a skill matchup if he knows what he's doing.
Caitlyn
More of a lane bully, I haven't seen any good caitlyns make it to mid and late game but you can win early fights if your good at dodging her skillshots ( q and e ). Take cleanse or exhaust.
Kai'Sa
Your stronger than her early to mid game. If you can successfully trade without tanking her q and w you shouldnt have a problem
Kog'Maw
It depends more on his build and support, but other than that be careful of his w range and pokes with his e and q armour reduction in lane. He will most likely build kraken slayer for more dps so be careful and play around the team when you see he has it
Samira
I haven't been versing much Samira's lately but it is a skill matchup that is more Samira favoured if she has a nautilus or pyke. Abuse her support and force her to fight you and waste her w before engaging on her.
Quinn
Not really played adc anymore but her q will deny you from engaging, her e is a gap closer. You still out damage her early to mid.
Lucian
Not really too much of a problem, as long as your not perma tanking his q and passive autos early on.
Jhin
You can out trade him early but once he hits his item spikes it becomes a bit more difficult to deal with him. Try your best to survive the lane and ping for all in and take control of the lane
Kalista
Pretty rare matchup for Draven, she works similar to Draven with her movement so as long as you can predict her movement and dodge her q skillshots it should be easy to win.
Vayne
Play away from walls and abuse early game as much as possible. You win this matchup every single time if you do.
Zeri
Easily outdamage, sigma draven player dodge all her autos and out kite
Ezreal
Ezreal has become a strong pick as of the durability patch making him a stronger late game champ. Hitting your 2nd items as early as possible is ideal in order to win the early and mid game.
Veigar
Easy lane imo, just position carefully and keep kiting back to make it harder for him to e you
Karthus
Free win, only way you lose if your dying to him and allowing him to play into the late game.
Morgana
If she lands a q on you your just dead.
A good morgana will most likely run arcane comet manaflow band to sustain mana in lane and poke the life out of you
Zyra
Relatively easy, a good zyra will position her plants properly to poke you and root with her e.
Bard
Lane could be a problem to manage if he manages to poke you with his adc, he wil look to roam around level 3-4 so be aware of that.
Karma
Watch her movement when she walks up, she may be looking to ult q you and your support. Try not to dive if she or the adc is running exhaust because her w will just root you under turret. Running serpents could be good here depending on the situation.
Blitzcrank
Try to always position behind your wave and q auto him when he walks up
Nautilus
Unlike blitzcrank, nautilus could perma cc you at level 6, he has a strong engage and if he's paired with someone like samira or caitlyn your gonna have a hard time laning.
Braum
His E will deny your qs and he will be quite a tank in all stages of the game.
Try to play around dodging his slow abilities and hitting the adc when you get a chance.
Alistar
He has some pretty powerful cc but unless he's paired witha yasuo he wouldnt be considered a major problem.
Brand
I despise brand players so much, if he manages to w you or the wave he will just e the wave to extend the burn reach and then q so that your cc'd. His ult damage is disgusting as well but if you can, try to stay away from your support so they don't bounce off you both.
Janna
If she places her tornados right she will just poke you out and deny you from hitting her adc. Try to abuse your level 2 powerspike and burn a sum or two on her, maybe even kill her if you and your support play it right.
Galio
As long as you play around your range and not let him gap close so he can taunt you, you should be fine. Ward the bush closest to your turret in case him and the adc try to cheese you and let the wave push towards you
Leona
Hard engage, I would probably rank her and nautilus together as strongest supports against draven. Do not let the wave push into them because your basically giving her adc a free kill.
Lulu
Point and click cc with her polymorph, not really an issue as long as you respect the adc she's paired with (ex. Lucian, Aphelios, Yasuo, Samira)
Maokai
Pre 6 look to poke him and ward the bushes because he will most likely sit in there and throw his balls out to you. After 6 his teamfight contribution may be a huge problem due to how much area it can cover.
Nami
Her heal and damage amp is pretty stupid, pre 6 shouldnt be an issue but once she hits 6 all you need to do is be careful of her movement so you know when shes gonna ult. I would only dodge if shes paired with a lucian, yasuo or aphelios.
Neeko
*NEEKO SUPPORT* Just dont get poked out and ulted by her
Pantheon
I have a love hate relationship with this champ. It's like one of those you love playing your main but when the enemy picks it and they are just shredding you relationships. Be careful of his 5 stack w and he can block your ult.
Rakan
Dont let him q you to heal his adc and be careful of his knockup and charm.
Pyke
Pyke is just a strong hook and root champ in general, what makes him scary is his ult so try not to tank too much damage when he hits level 6.
Rell
Rell is barely played in oce but she is pretty annoying to lane against. A good rell will sit in the bush then flash stun you and you'll just die. Level 6 just becomes even more of a problem because it will be hard to get out of her ult.
Renata Glasc
As long as your being very mobile and dodging her skillshots, the lane is relatively easy.
Seraphine
I don't really like laning against seraphine, she has stupid cds and her poke range is too much. Once she hits level 6 it becomes even harder. Only way you win really is if her adc is behind.
Senna
Can poke Draven out. If shes running kraken slayer or eclipse then just ff 15 because she might be too much to handle in the late game.
Sivir
Not really strong early and her e is practically useless against you.
Sona
Meh champ, just dont get cc'd from her ult or poked by her too much
Soraka
Since her heal costs hp, abuse it and focus her as much as you can, dodge her q so she doesn't regen hp to heal her adc
Taric
Just be careful of his cc, he isnt tanky early on but later on he can make an impact in teamfights if he's not taken care of properly.
Ashe
*SUPPORT* ashe support is more cancer than adc in my opinion. infinite w, infinite mana and infinite ult in the midgame.
Swain
Dodge his e and dont let him scale with his w. Try to focus him down with your support to deny him of making an impact in the late game.
Thresh
Has alot of play potential through his w and strong cc with his flail and ult. He can scale with his souls and isn't really strong pre 6, try to abuse this and push him off the wave.
Tristana
Best thing you can do is to bully her sup so they cant do anything if tristana tries to jump on you. You out damage her early but she becomes a tank shredder in the late game if she scales for free.
Take exhaust into this matchup or cleanse if they have cc support.
Twitch
You outdamage him early game, try to get fed off him to deny him from scaling and doing damage in the late game. If he runs kraken slayer then run dd and bt to have sustain and deal alot of damage into him
Varus
His q damage is insane but if you can manage to win the lane through poking him out over the support it should be an easy matchup
Xerath
Be careful of his stun and dodge his stupid long range w. He will be an extreme threat lategame if you dont get a lead or deny his poke early.
Zilean
Just be careful of where he throws his bombs so you dont get stunned, and counter his ult by not killing the person he ulted until its over.
Xayah
Too much kill pressure in lane, try dodging the feathers but if her support has a brain then ask your jungler for help
Miss Fortune
Really annoying to lane against, do your best to survive and not get poked down early game. I tend to run kraken slayer/gale force since i can build noon quiver which can help me cs under turret with all her poke
Miss Fortune
*SUPPORT* Miss fortune support on the other hand is easier to handle because she will most likely misposition early game giving you an opening.
Pyke
Literally the dream team, the money making combo. If pyke manages to land his ult, Draven will gain extra gold from his passive if he claims an assist on the person pyke killed.
Yuumi
She'll keep you alive if she's not afk and the movement speed you get from her helps alot with chasing down enemies.
Nautilus
Out of blitz naut and thresh i prefer playing with naut more because he has more cc to him and survivability for himself with his w. He also has a great knockup which will work well in teamfights if he uses it correctly.
Blitzcrank
Basically any hook champ can work with draven but imo, blitz is my least perferred.
Thresh
Having thresh on your team is fun, being able to get out of tight situations with thresh lantern and finding good picks with thresh hook.
Morgana
From experience, this lane can fall of eventually, it's just really annoying early for the other team to play against but if their missing their qs or your lead is somehow thrown, its kind of awkward tryna get back.
Zyra
A good zyra pokes the enemy out of the lane which is ideal in order for you to keep building your stacks off minion waves. She also provides utility through her ult and root making it easy for you to land your ult.
Lux
Just spam ping her if she misses everything. You need to rely on her hitting a q at the right time.
Pantheon
Strong combo for trading and just overall excellent damage output/cc lock with w.
Bard
Bard players usually dip as soon as they make their first reset. Basically leaving you to 1v2 the lane where you need to play super safe and wait a long time to cash in. You could just force them to dive and kill them under your turret but it's very unlikely since they can freeze the wave and leave you open for ganks,
Karma
Strong poke with ult+q. Can also save you or give you movement speed boost with her e.
Soraka
I've had a lot of positive results playing with soraka, she has a bunch of utility and a global ult which can help you in situations.
Sona
Hate playing with sonas, half the time walking into the enemy turret then question mark pinging themself wondering what happened and they realise they're on 200 ping. Just not a useful champ to work around until level 6 if she lands her ult
Seraphine
i prefer seraphine over sona because of the team fights. Her ult is arguably more useful than sona and she can poke much better than her.
Leona
Leona cc can guarantee kills for you and is useful at making picks off the enemy.
Bard
Very fun champion to play with, bard just needs to land his stun and if the enemys tryna run away, he can ult and if it lands just time your ult.
Brand
Hes got strong poke and scales pretty well for late game.
Alistar
Strong cc chain, as long as he utilises it on the right person/
Janna
Strong cc and survivability, used to be low synergy tier due to not playing with janna's much.
Lulu
Not really much damage output with this synergy. Only really useful for teamfights when she casts her ult on someone which most likely wont be you.
Nami
Provides strong damage output through her e and has survivability + cc for you to work with as long as she lands them.
Rakan
Know his abilities and play around them, sometimes rakan players can get a really good knockup if you position correctly in lane and the opponents make a mistake. This combo wins most level 6s and teamfights.
Senna
Probs will flame you for ksing them, they're that kind of player. Her range is mad broken but if they can't utilise their kit properly then 15.

PROS/CONS
PROS:
-Insane damage output
-Can carry on all stages of the game
-Fun to play with
-Quite flexible with his builds
-low elo bully champ
CONS:
-Movement is easily predictable due to his q
-Requires a cash in to really carry
-8/10 difficulty to master
RUNES
Main Keystones:
In the current meta, lethal tempo has outshone every draven rune because of the attack speed and range you get in long team fights. I've also started to love using this rune as it helps so much in kiting and finishing off enemies.
Conqueror is also one of my favourite rune to run on draven due to the extra ad and heal it gives in teamfighting, it works well against all kinds of matchups and provides better results than Pta and Dark Harvest
Press the attack I like to run into squishier line ups, such as ashe and ezreal and miss fortune. The only problem is that this does not provide as much sustain as conquerer does in team fights.
I take dark harvest when im confident in the team comp im going into and i know i am going to get alot of stacks from the enemy laner. This is more of a for fun rune.
I don't take hail of blades anymore, but I would recommend this for Draven beginners as it is very easy to work with.
Mini Runes:
Triumph is neccesary to survive teamfights and gain that little extra gold from kills and assists
Bloodline has started to become more important as it helps draven survive more.
This rune helps you survive and do more damage in close fights where your being targeted the most, draven will always be the main threats in fights because of your potential to snowball and carry games through your damage and passive. I've been running this 95% of the time but if your versing 2-3 tanks, cut down is also great
SECONDARY RUNES:
Absolute focus works well with draven in all stages of the game. If you play very mobile and position yourself properly you shouldnt drop below 75%, allowing you to maximize your damage
Gather storm is so good on Draven, it helps him scale AD in long games so even if you are behind, this rune will help give the tiny boost you need to do damage to their adc
Other options: I take this sometimes depending on the team comp im versing, if I'm against a bunch of ***sasins or mobile champ, I would take this to help catch up or gain that short burst of movement speed to get away.
I also take this sometimes depending on the team comp im versing, if I feel like I need the extra lifesteal in lane I take this paired with legend bloodline .
Mechanics
Catching axes more efficiently
In case you didnt know, if you use a to auto attack then right click towards a position straight after, your q will land in that area. I recommend going into practise tool and trying this out until you can catch your axes without burning all your mana Cashing in your passive
The way I cash in is by consistently catching my axes until I can reach around 120+ and look to all in the enemy. Draven is arguably the strongest early game adc if not, the strongest level 2 champ in the game, utilising it early with an engage/cc support helps alot and this is where cleanse and exhaust come in handy.
Early game
Early game:
If your support is alpha asf and has a brain, contest for level 2 and all in, draven has one of the strongest level 2 all ins in botlane and getting that early kill/gold lead will help alot with the lane.
If your against a harder matchup, i suggest just try and stack up until you hit 6 and then go for the all in. Before doing this, you wanna look to bait some summoner spells in the earlier levels
Mid game
Mid game:
Mid game if your ahead, you want to extend your lead by taking out the rest of the tier 2s and showing up to objectives like rift and drag. Also if you can, begin grouping with your team to deal alot more damage in team fights. At this point you should have your 2nd/3rd item.
Late game
Continue playing for map objectives and baron so you can try to close out the game. There are some situations where you need to split and hard push the sidelanes to apply pressure. It should go something like 2-2-1 (2 top, 2 mid and 1 bot) or 1-3-1 (1 top, 3 mid and 1 bot) in this case, you always want to be mid because you can rotate as draven into either side faster if a fight breaks out or your jungler wants to contest an objective.
