Will keep updating this section as I get more experience with every matchup and patch.
Renekton
Ignite+TP if you want to contest early game or Flash+TP if you don't. Grasp. He removes your W shield with his empowered W, so always wait his W if he has fury before using yours. you have two ways to play this: full aggressive since lv1 (ignite setup) or safe and wait for jungle ganks (flash setup). Make always sure that you have some source of Grievous wounds.
Poppy
Flash+TP. Grasp + Inspiration. A good poppy will make the game completely unplayable, against casual players try to play aggressive and bait her W. remember that her W has a 20 sec cd, so trade in this window, it's the only way to win this matchup. The trick here is to bait her W by pressing S after every spell, if she wastes it it's your time to get a good trade. Space her Q, she does a lot of dmg early. Do not give her an angle to E into a wall cause if she's good she will chain cc you for 15 years. She has godlike gank setup so make sure to track enemy jungler. You outscale in side she's just annoying in teamfights.
Briar
Ignite+TP. Grasp or Conqueror. basically warwick but closes gap faster, play safe under turret, bait her spells and dash out of E. Useless champ atm, gets outscaled by everything and isn't that oppressive early, basically lidl warwick. She also has no health regen so be mindful about that in the first few waves
Tryndamere
Flash+TP. Grasp + Cookies and cosmic insight. Don't ever try to contest or skill check him early game. Extremely important to space his E cause he runs you down and try to get pushed in as much as possible. If he has ghost you have a little bit more breathing room early game, if he has ignite he has very high kill pressure. Make sure not to trade as he has way more sustain than you and can dive you with ease after a good/heavy trade. Just try to get as much farm and xp as possible and get your items. Rush tabis. If he goes lethality rush shojin, if he goes botrk just go shojin. If he goes crit randuin's is great. In sidelane life gets easier (expecially if he has ignite) cause you can space him way better, make sure to never get close and always keep distance, you outrange him.
Warwick
Flash+TP or Ignite+TP, Flash+Ignite is very greedy be careful. Conqueror. Just play with your range and kite and poke him. Avoid long trades at all costs. If he all-ins, just kite away. Buy Grievous Wounds asap. Be patient please, you just outscale him so don't take greedy or longer trades because you will regret it.
Irelia
Ignite+TP. Conqueror or Grasp. Short trades and do your best to dodge E. You can Q when she dashes to farm. Your window to win is level 1-3. A good irelia will make this very hard to play. If you get a kill early on you can snowball very hard.
Riven
Ignite+TP if you want to be aggressive (recommended), Flash+TP if you want to play safe. My personal preference is to go Flash+Ignite here because riven players are all about fighting and this is the most confrontational and active setup (go this only if you're confident because you don't have tp and if you die its kinda over). Electrocute or grasp (but, as I've already explained, this is not recommended in a soloq environment). Bone plating. This lane is all about baiting each other abilities. Respect level up timers, wave states and jungler strongside/weakside(and vice versa, play aggressive when they are in your favour). If you manage to W before her W's stun, you can win the trade. The point of electrocute is to play for short trades and dont let her stack conqueror. Respect her when your abilities are on cd, she has shorter cooldowns than you. Care about her lv6 spike, she can run you down if you dont pay attention. Very snowball matchup. You outscale if even.
Darius
Flash+TP or TP+Ignite if confident and want more aggressive options early game (also very nice cause you can't afford to waste gold on anti heal). Flash+Ignite viable if you want max tools to win the lane at the cost of no space for mistakes and trickier mid game. This matchup is all about spacing. You want to get pushed in as much as possible cause he runs you down with ghost in long lane. You hard lose long trades, just try to bait his Q and E and then take a short trade to chip him down. If he wastes E that's your window for a good trade just make sure that he can't run you down with ghost/flash. Lv6 he oneshots you. Later it gets easier cause you can space him but always respect him if you don't have a lead. Don't build anti heal early, you want to do tabis into eclipse/shojin as fast as possible. After eclipse your short trades get very deadly, so you can chip him down easily, shojin if the darius is good and doesn't allow any random short trades.
Camille
Trundle
TP+Flash. Grasp. Doran's shield. He can always run you down, play for short trades and ALWAYS keep a spell to disengage and run away from pillar. If you let him stack lethal tempo he runs you down. He outscales you, you never win 1v1 but if he is low in lane can kill. Very important to play with your range in this matchup, also keep in mind that his Q reduces your ad, so you deal less dmg while it's active, wait for it to run out and re-engage.
Pantheon
Ignite+TP or Flash+TP if you don't want to go full 1v1 setup. Grasp. Second Wind. Play for good trades, you don't want to make it too volatile (both low hp). W his W. Care about his Q poke. You can kill him if jungler comes. If you can always put the wave in a position where if he ults he loses a lot. You outscale after lv9/eclipse. Rush tabis, you get fisted too hard if you dont. Shojin rush here is very good, if behind go eclipse. Remember that he has mana and you don't, you can play around that and force him out of lane. You can ult while he E's to get behind him and make the spell useless.
Vayne
Flash + TP. Electrocute. Second Wind. Doran's Shield. Short trades always with a skill to disengage. Keep wave next to the tower and punish bad positioning. Careful with her 6. You just have to give up cs to stay healthy and pray for your jungle to gank, thats how the matchup goes. Your objective is to not get solokilled and not miss xp. Edge of Night rush tech might be op (because you block her E, which is the only way to push you away), depends how much you want to cook.
Olaf
Flash+TP. Grasp+Inspiration. You never win against this champion. Pre 6 make sure that you never give him a good axe angle because he will run you down always. between lv3 and lv6 you can play it out if you space him well with E. After 6 he runs you down always no matter what and the matchup becomes worse than ever so always be 100% sure that he can't run you down with wave management and good trades. Trade as little as possible as he outsustains you. You can hold him by keeping the lane always on your side, farming as much as possible and taking only short trades that don't make you low. Tabis rush into shojin is needed here cause with zero health or resistances he can just 100 to 0 you on cd and dive you 1v1. Late game you outscale and are more useful in teamfights, hold him and negate any angle to snowball while keeping this in mind.
Kennen
Maokai
Cho'Gath
Teemo
Akali
Tahm Kench
Flash + TP. Grasp (conqueror if you want to be greedy). Second Wind. Doran's Blade.
Do your best to avoid his Q. You always win short trades, only commit to all-in if you're 100% sure you can kill him and not close to his tower. If the tahm is passive you can very easily get a cs lead, if he's aggressive you win as long as you just short trade and avoid his Q.
K'Sante
Flash + TP. Conqueror. Doran's Blade. Use W on his Q to poke. Just farm, this is a super boring lane, he can't kill you unless you mess up and you can't kill him unless he mess up. Don't give him early kills because he can snowball, stack armor and you will never kill him + he oneshots you with R. He can W backwards your R (into a potential R into his turret), always be aware of that.
Fiora
Jax
Mordekaiser
Singed
Yorick
Flash+TP. Grasp or Conqueror. Early Game focus on dodging his E and chip him down with good short trades, if you do so life should be very easy and when he's low enough he either has to base or you can ult him and ignite and kill. After lane 1v1 is quite even if you don't have a lead but if you do just dodge his W (the cage) and abuse your range and you will win. Also mid game he becomes this weird splitpush addict that can't do anything else so make sure to not give him free push cause he will take your whole base in a push
Aatrox
Flash+TP (you dont need ignite). Grasp or Conq if you know the matchup. Doran's blade. Buy grievous wounds asap. Play for fast trades around electrocute and dash away. Make sure you don't get hit by Q sweet spots, he can poke you out of lane. Play around your powerspikes. if you have anti heal and he's low you can all in, just care about dodging his Qs because he heals a lot while in ult. Snowballs very hard, if you get a kill on him you get every spike faster than him so just don't let him touch a cs without losing all his health. Go in on Q1, always keep a spell like E to dodge his W/Q3. If you win the Q minigame and dodge his sweet spots you stomp very hard.
Jayce
Gangplank
Flash + TP. Grasp or conqueror(greedy). Second Wind. Doran's Shield. If the gp is good the matchup is an horror, but luckily that will rarely happen, so I will put him in even.
This is one of the most anoying laning phases. Do short trades when he's out of barrels or out of position. Care about his Q poke expecially if he has grasp, as it's very oppressive. Do your best to dodge or W barrels. You win until late game if even(3-4 items). Randuin's is a great pickup later on cause otherwise he just oneshots you with a barrel combo and you can't facecheck him ever.
Smolder
Quinn
Flash+TP. Electrocute. Play safe, you don't even have to trade at all, just make sure that you get good cs, dont troll wave state and stay high on health. After lv6 you oneshot her if you hit R. She can kite with E but you catch her anyway. Play patiently and wait for ganks, you're in no rush.
Urgot
Flash + TP. Conqueror or Grasp if unexperienced with the matchup or want to play safe. Second Wind. Doran's Shield. He has a lot of pressure with E, care a lot about E+Flash. Poke and play patiently. If he misses E punish him heavily. If you get hit by E you lose. Care lv6 timing. Whoever gets a lead snowballs very hard, make sure that you dont die for no reason.
Illaoi
Kled
Flash+Ignite. Grasp + Domination. Skill matchup ambessa favored, if the kled is bad you can completely stomp him. Play for short trades. Learn what his W does and play while it's down. Juke his Q, you have plenty of tools to dodge it. As soon as he misses Q go in, do a short trade and get out. Don't take even trades as that is what he wants and he will outsustain you with his mount. When his shield is low just leave it there until you can kill him. When you can kill him, finish his shield, ignite him and finish him. Play smart with wave states. You outscale.
Malphite
Flash+TP. Conqueror. You can even go something like conditioning/overgrowth as the matchup is really free and you don't need any early game rune if he's playing passive. You win early, force long trades, if you have high conqueror stacks you win every trade, don't be afraid and temporise waiting for your rotation. After first item, you start to lose if even, and eventually he will just outscale you with his armor stacking. You have 2 ways to play this: the standard way and my preferred (and more impactful) way. The standard way is to build eclipse -> shojin, get as much cs as possible and play to outscale, but this is quite passive and will not ensure you any game-winning lead. My way is to build RAVENOUS HYDRA: most malphites are just first time or boring tank players, so they will always just give up everything and get out of lane with 0 deaths and behind cs. So you can get 10cs/min and get the enormous spike and scaling from hydra. With this build, you play for heavy prio and to impact the map, so you want to shove every wave, proxy every time you can (don't int please, only proxy when you can't get killed), proxy under T3, rotate mid, bot, invade and deny any recall angle for malphite. This makes you very impactful on the map while the malphite is just sitting under turret last hitting and running out of mana. Think of it like a hyper-aggressive korean hydra riven if that can help, as the playstyle is the same but she's stronger early and you're stronger after hydra spike. You can even build profane hydra and do the same thing if you're against 4 squishies, but you will never win against the malphite no matter what, so I don't like it.

Gwen
Flash+TP but Flash+Ignite is also fine if you want, tp+ignite is a bit greedy. Conqueror. buy anti heal after eclipse, dodge her Q true dmg. Snowball matchup, you win early trades with W. If you're even, care about all-ins after lv6. Most gwen players are not very smart at aiming their Rs, so you can very easily flash her last cast to deny her dmg and healing.
Sett
Flash+TP. Grasp or Conq if you know the matchup. Doran's blade. W start lv1. Just predict his E with your W and dash away from W or at least the true damage spot and you win every trade. If you do this lv1 if he E's carelessly he loses half his hp while you are full hp. Both of you can cancel each other R: you can cancel his ult with R and he can cancel yours with his.
Volibear
Flash + TP. Grasp or Conqueror if super confident. Doran's Blade. Play with your range and kite him with short trades. He can't touch you unless you allow it. Abuse him when his Q is on cooldown. As long as you dodge his E you win every trade. Don't give him W resets unless you kill him 100%.
Ornn
Dr. Mundo
Flash+TP. Conqueror with shield bash and second wind/overgrowth depending on how confident you are
Gnar
Electrocute. Grasp if you want to be solid, Conqueror if you just want to scale. Flash+TP. Play around you electrocute timer and just chip him down cause you hard win short trades. Take as little poke as possible and abuse second wind+dshield. after eclipse it gets even worse for him. respect his mega form. You can easily dodge his mega gnar spells with your dashes, flash and R (you are unstoppable while you use it!). You win 1v1 in sidelane just space him. If he has no E as mini gnar he is extremely immobile, use that timer to kill him or take a godlike trade.
Nasus
Flash+TP or TP+Ignite. Conqueror and max scaling, I even take demolish overgrowth and ability haste shard. You outrange him, he's not allowed to touch a single cs without losing half his health. Play smart with wave states as you can deny him a lot of gold and xp. Only ult him if you have hp advantage, as if he is not very behind he can statcheck you with his R (think of it like renekton R), then kite his W and dash out of his E in all-ins and you will have a very easy time.
Zac
Rumble
Kayle
Flash+TP (u can go ignite but you dont need it at all). Electrocute. Stomp early game, she cant go for a minion without losing all her health. Make sure to play smart around wavestate so that she cant touch minions. After lv6 you oneshot even if she has flash. She scales very hard ofc so if she manages to get to late game she is still a menace.
Yuumi
Why no champs in tiny threats? Ambessa, like every champ, has harder and easier matchups but you can never just play on autopilot and expect to stomp your lane. She is a very skill expressive champion and, as such, she requires a certain level of execution to perform that is lower in easy matchups and higher in harder matchups, but never 0.
Nautilus
Ambessa loves champions that can engage for her, as she doesnt want to be the one starting the fight. You either play front to back or assassin role in teamfights depending on your build and situation, and you also have good flanks

Ambessa is a carry, very mobile fighter who wants to snowball as much as possible her lane to the mid game, where she will start to tank and out-trade anyone thanks to her very complete kit, ad scalings and item spikes. From this point her scaling becomes very linear and she will keep being relevant in the late game teamfights thanks to her ultimate and busted stats.
Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Amazing Mobility: her 15 dashes coupled with R will make enemies go mad every time they try to kill you, as you have very good escape and chase potential even without flash
- Great AoE dmg: even without hydra, she has very good waveclear after few bases thanks to her busted ad scaling expecially on her E
- Manaless Champion: without having mana, you just have to care a bit about energy which is almost never a big deal and is infinite if you proc passive, practically speaking as long as you aa between skills you dont even notice that you have energy. In a lot of matchups you can abuse this because most enemies will eventually run out of mana and be in big trouble if they dont have tp.
- Insane Spike: she is not super strong early game (but not weak at all!) but as soon as you get eclipse and level 9 (5 points on Q) you become so dumb that if you're even or ahead you can just walk up, Q1-AA-Q2 out and enemy is half hp while you are full hp. After that you can just weave in and out as your cooldowns get much shorter and it's just a matter of time before enemy tilts and has to choose between basing and dying to your burst with R.
- So much fun: this ofc is more subjective, but omg if this champ is fun. Having 15 dashes, an unstoppable, a shield, no mana, %HP dmg, and oneshot potential against all squishies and tanks makes it very hard to not just laugh while enemy doesn't understand how they are losing so hard to you.
- Adaptive Playstyle: as every champion, you have easy and harder matchups, but you can always choose if you want to go more aggressive, oneshot everyone and make enemy laner ragequit or become unkillable and just watch your enemies get outscaled.
Cons:
- Requires Basic Knowledge: this champion does not play himself. You need to know when and how to trade, as you dont have a lot of sustain early on and a bad trade can make your lane very miserable.
- Relies on Hitting Skillshots: Hitting your R and Q edges is crucial to deal dmg, and missing one of them can completely change the outcome of a fight.
- Struggles against champions that stop dashes: if you're against a champion that can stop or punish dashes, if they're good they can make the game unplayable for you. You can still outplay them though, remember that if you dont input any movement after your abilities you just cast the ability without dashing, use this to bait key enemy spells.
This is your main source of energy. Usually you use your empowered autoattacks between skills, as the increased attack range and attack speed give very good poke (a lot of times enemies cant trade the auto back because its too fast and 200 ranged is very high) not to mention that the extra damage is very nice.
This is your main damage and poke tool. Early on it does very little dmg and it's very useful to proc electrocute (with electrocute Q1-AA-Q2 out deals crazy dmg), but each point you put in it it becomes stronger and stronger, and the damage ramps up by a lot.
THis is the ability that makes you win most of the trades in the first waves. You can unlock it level 1 to abuse the grasp+shield bash+sudden impact+passive+W shield combo, and in general you use it in the laining to block certain abilities while trading. This applies to every ability, but expecially for W make sure that you dont waste it for no reason early game, as 18 second cd rank 1 is extremely long.
In lane you mainly use this ability to kite and hit Q's easier, with items it deals isane flat dmg and it becomes a oneshot button against squishies paired with Q.
The passive armor pen and omnivamp (which scales with your lifesteal!) contribute a lot to her very consistent scaling, and remove the need to build armor pen. The active is your main pick and engage ability: you use this to close distance quickly and guarantee a Q hit (remember to always R-no movement input-Q as it guarantees a sweet spot hit) and chunk or just delete an enemy champion. You can use this offensively to get picks as already mentioned and to dive the backline in teamfights (as it hits the last enemy in line) or you can use it defensively as the stun and the extra dash can save your life in a lot of situations. Remember that ambessa is unstoppable during the cast time, use this to dodge key cc or abilities (like morde R, ornn R or morgana Q). If the target enemy is immune to cc (blackshield or olaf R for example) you just teleport behind them without the suppression and the stun. expecially with assassin build, the RQE combo (without using any movement, just press the 3 buttons) is an excellent buff that you can use to oneshot every squishy (will talk more about this in the combos section, wip).
