Renekton Passive Ability
Introduction
This item builds into your next, very quickly and cheaply. Sadly, you are left without any health potions, but wait, you don't need them. Cull the Meek can easily serve for the health regeneration and a harass.
At around 1375, you can head back. Pick up your and your . This will allow you to lane longer in the end because of the 20% increased healing from the passive. The boots are just an extra plus, and you can really change them to your liking once you get the money.
For boots, which is what I recommend to purchase next, I decided that were the best choice. This item is not situational in any aspect and will generally help you preform better in any game. IF there is a caster/CC heavy team DO NOT be afraid to pick up .
Next is a damage/slow/health/win item. Frozen mallet is so awesome on Renekton. It gives a ton of health, has an awesome passive and provides some extra damage to those pesky enemy champions.
After you get your mallet you can really go two other ways here. The items I have selected above provide a very nice balance, but sometimes that isn't enough against certain team compositions. I.E. If I said to grab thornmail, but they have no melee, that's obviously not helping, therefore, I have provided you with options!
Sub Build A:
OR
This provides the optimal defense against any AP Heavy caster teams. You can choose either a Warmog's or a Guardian's Angel in the last slot depending on your play style.
Sub Build B:
OR
This provides the optimal defense against any AD Heavy melee teams. You can choose either a Warmog's or a Guardian's Angel in the last slot depending on your play style.
IF after the mallet, you are faced with a balanced team of two AD and two AP champions, you should follow the rest of the items on the build. After mallet pick up and try to farm to get those stacks up, or kill champs. Renekton is very good at 1v1 even with a very heavy tanking build! After that, pick your favorite of the two, or which type of champ is trying to own you more, and counter it! After both and you will be very powerful and almost unkillable with your ultimate activated. You will also be able to put out some major AOE damage.
+ = 140 Magic Damage a second (unresisted).
I decided to use a 8/21/1 build for masteries. I thought it would be best to get the improvements for my selected summoner spells, ghost and exhaust, as well as grabbing resistance and cool-down reduction.
You could also use a standard 21/0/9 build for this, but this is a tank build. We're all about defense here.

This was the hardest part of my build. I really didn't figure out what runes I wanted to use.
Greater Mark of Desolation x 9
Greater Quintessence of Desolation x 3
I decided upon using Armor Pen Marks/Quins. This gives you excellent early game damage and it doesn't hurt late game either!
x 9
For glyphs, I decided to use CDR glyphs. Renekton has nothing else to do but spam abilities. They don't cost health, energy, mana, or anything else you could think of. Making Renekton be able to use Cull the Meek more is great, especially in team fights.
x9
Crit seals. These sound really random, but the damage output of a crit is really nice early game, but is unreliable.
I'm thinking
x 9
Would be better, but I haven't gotten enough IP to test this. I will keep this in the back of my mind as I fight to reach summoner level 30. :D
These runes are entirely debatable, and if there is enough reasoning against ___, I will change it and test it out on my own. :D
