HI! And welcome to my pretty short riven champion guide i try to go as depth as i can but this is my very first guide so i hope it's ''ok'' that it's not very pro that you might be used to. Ok so im going to try explain what i can about riven and maby improve your way of play style or just show you another there is no use to completely mimic me becuas you will learn new stuff the more you play with riven i cant really explain everything in these texts it must be felt by you so these are some really good tips and will probaly help you if you are new to riven but as i said earlier this is a really ''un pro guide'' and im not from any english speaking countries so if i write something really wrong please comment so i notice and change it thanks! Well hope you will enjoy as much as i enjoyed making it! Prons +High mobility + Strong early game and late game + Much armor and magic resist in early game + Good on ''get away'' with abilities Cons -Must have Life Steal -short radius on Ki Burst -slow when abilities CD

Runes

I go full damage becuse riven need the damage so bad to her AD based shield Valor for example.

abilities

I start with [Q] becuase it's good for farming in the very ealry. I choose to continue with Ki Burst because it stuns the target and also doheavy damage.
Then i choose Valor because it's a good shield against ganks,other champions abilities like Mystic Shot so i fast can get away or soften the damage i maybe receive. After that i fully upgrade Ki Burst and of course [R] Blade of the Exile .

Masteries

I tried to get as much damage as possible and i also choosed CD which is good when i hunt fast enemies so i can spam [Q] and [E]. Also very good with CD is that i can use my ulti more often. I did want the magic resist, armor and health to improve my early game.

All other spells does not really get along with riven. You can ask in the comments witch spell you think riven could use and i can explain why i dont think so.

this is good when u cant cant catch low health enemies

this will either save you or help you get closer

Riven Abilities

AD
Items (Early Game). AD

most people use Boots and 3x Health Potion that is (NOT) a good choice. Riven is meant to tons of damage thats why i go with Doran's Blade . i hear many people complaining because i have no shoes the reason why is because Riven attacks is her way forward. [(Q)] Broken Wings 3 jumps forwards and directly after that use [(E)] Valor makes Riven rush forwards

Items you should have in early game [ 1. Doran's Blade 2. B. F. Sword 3. Giant's Belt


Items (Mid Game). AD

In mid game, it depends on how many kills, assists, Minions, etc. How much gold you have, but I would probably think that you have received enough for these items -> [ 4. Vampiric Scepter 5. Mercury's Treads 6. Bloodthirster .<-(ok when you come to this item, it's time to start farm to build on the damage that Riven really should have. You must have at least 100 or more Minions now.) ok and 7. Frozen Mallet ] <-(if you can not afford Frozen Mallet now you can buy depending on how much gold you have ( Phage ) or ( Ruby Crystal ) is what you should buy)



Items (Late Game). AD

I usually myself is not able to afford all items but the last two i usually buy atleast. 8. Last Whisper 9. Guardian Angel . <- You probably will not be able to afford this item, start by buying Chain Vest . 10. Bloodthirster . And when to buy the last item you will be forced to sell Doran's Blade .

If you die alot with Riven you might want to buy Guardian Angel before you buy Last Whisper .



Items purchasing. AD

Doran's Blade -> B. F. Sword -> Giant's Belt -> Vampiric Scepter -> Boots -> Mercury's Treads -> Bloodthirster -> Ruby crystall -> Long Sword -> Phage -> Frozen Mallet -> Pickaxe -> Last Whisper -> Chain Vest -> Guardian Angel -> (Sell) Doran's Blade -> B. F. Sword -> Bloodthirster .

Tanky
Items (Early Game). Tanky

Ok so we have learned that riven need damage for her abilities and early game she should be very tanky as we can tell when we read the Masteries and runes i made to make her strong in the beginning to the end of the game via not to choose so much diffrent runes or masteries i enstead used the in-game items exept CD masteries to make her strong thru the whole game.

EARLY & GANKS
Riven and Irelia are like made ​​for each other, And as long as both stay away from Darius Apprehend when he's in the bushes or near the tower. Darius is basically matchless because Riven will buy Wriggle's Lantern which makes them immune to ganks if not Hecarim use Onslaught of Shadows through a wall so you cant escape that gank.

MID GAME
Riven and Irelia should now have won the lane and destoyed the tower and have started help others to push.

LATE GAME
This is very hard to tell how it will be in Late game maybe we already ''won'' or it went worse for us but i do think that with janna and alistar we are pretty strong in team fight and therefore we push faster after team fights we won that could make us win. Also they have Blitz crank who can pull us ''1 by 1'' into the other team and that would be bad for that person. We have no tank but riven is a very tanky champ and irelia is pretty tanky to i guess so it's not that big of problem. Please leave a comment why my team or the other team would win/lose.
