Introduction

Greetings Summoner:

Every time when I hear people saying: " I don't play ryze, ryze is so useless" or "Ryze is so easy to beat, he deals no damage". Then I ask myself how do they play the manaking ??
Ryze is simply one of the strongest Ap Toplaners. He is really tanky and deals so much damage if you play him right. And that is what I'm going to show you now.

I choosed magic resist here, because your a tank and your building much armor. Because of this you need magic resist in your runes.

Your a tank, but you deal really much damage with your spells. So if your enemy toplaner builds some magic resist you have your penetration runes and can easily kill him.

Your a mana tank, that means your abilitys scales with your mana. Mana = Damage. So it can't be bad if you have some mana in your runes.

At least movement speed. You have a really short range with your W. So it is really nice with some movement speed, that you can get near the enemies to stun them.

None of your Abilities are Skill Shots so your combos are note very difficult to understand and to use.

Passiv Arcane Mastery

Ryze is the ability spammer on Summoners Rift. His Passiv is really easy to understand. Every time when he casts a spell, his other spells have their cooldown reduced by 1 second.

Q Overload

is your main damage source. Its a normal onhit damage spell.
You have small cooldowns on it and it deals much damge. Also you can stack you tears with it.

W Rune Prison

is your root and the first ability you normaly use for your combos. At the first stage it roots ( IMPORTANT: It just roots your enemies, it dont stun them. That means they can cast their abilities and auto attack while they are rooted.)
for 0.75 seconds and at the last stage for 1.75 seconds.
Because has not a really big range you have to get near him. Because of that you have some Items to slow them and your mobility boots toget near.

E Spell Flux

is a really nice ability to push your lane. Its a magic sphere that bounces up to 6 times and prioritizes enemy champions. It also reduces some magic resistance every time it hits an enemy.

R Desperate Power

Your Utimate is . While your ultimate you turn into a beast. You gain 80 Movement Speed and 15% - 25% Spell Vamp. Because of your passiv, your Ultimate has really a low cooldown time. You can cast it in nearly every fight and just burst you enemy down.

You have to max your first because it is your main damage source and you can easily stack your tears by farming with your Q.

Second you will max your . Because at the beginning you have a root duration of 0,75 seconds and when you have at the 5 stage its roots your enemy for 1,75 seconds. So you won 1 whole second to kill him.

You have to use as much spells as possible.
Think about it. More Spells = more Mana = more Damage.
With Ryze itself its easy to farm. With your short Cooldowns and your E your the born farmer :D
