So you want to play Lux? Well in all honesty she's not terribly difficult to play, however she is hard to master.

Lux is all about combos and setting up team fights, your should be on the out skirts of the action constantly dealing damage and protecting your team. When things are going well make them better by snaring enemies with your Q ( Light Binding) and deal mass damage with your E ( Lucent Singularity).

If **** hits the ceiling fan throw out your W ( Prismatic Barrier) and then your Q (Light Binding) shortly after, protecting your team and slowing the enemy. Continue to cast your W ( Prismatic Barrier) when up to protect low/weak teammates. Then cast your E ( Lucent Singularity) right afterward (not popping it) and use it to slow the which slows nearby enemies by 20% / 24% / 28% / 32% / 36%. This should hold them off long enough for you team to escape.

As you can see in neither of these situations did I use my ult to take down the enemy or to stop the enemy. This is because your ult is saved for the up-most importance.

Your ult should only be use to finish enemies off. Your ult is a great tool and should be used sparingly thus ensuring that it will be available when you need it.

1) Never over extend
2) Harass all the time (but never with your ult)
3) Use your E ( Lucent Singularity) to farm lane
4) Acquire Blue buff whenever possible
5) Save your ult for the perfect moment
6) Never use your ult to start a team fight only to FINISH IT.
7) Play Lux as an AP carry, LUX IS NOT A SUPPORT, PERIOD.

Lux is perfect in any lane however she works best with a specific combo (which we will talk about in another chapter.

MID
When going mid Lux should always farm while harassing the enemy. This works buy using your E ( Lucent Singularity) to farm creeps and hurt the enemy when she is inside it, thus you should time it just right.

Mid is normally a bit more aggressive and should be something you take advantage of. Whenever they over extend use your Q (Light Binding) to stun them in the tower and unload everything on them, when they flee use your ult to finish them.

*WARD NOTICE*
This should be done on every champion but always buy wards for top and bottom push in mid. Especially if they have and jungle and your pushing very well. Consider buy lots of wards (4 at a time) to ward mid (top + bot bush) and baron. I highly recommend you buy wards for baron as you can easily steal it if you have sight (read "Steal Baron" chapter below)

SOLO TOP
When going solo-top always keep your lane pushed about mid way. You are very weak and can be easily tower divide at low level. Keeping the lane back also lets you get last hits and become a secret weapon late game, even if you have no kills. This is because Lux can stay in lane forever and keep the enemy from pushing. Expect around 150+ minion kills in a solo-lane at a early stage of the match.

BOT
When going bot Lux can become disgusting very quickly (with the help of another champ). Since you buy a ward early game (BUT SHES NOT SUPPORT YOU SAID) use it to ward bottom river all the time. Lux is very squishy early game (SO SHE IS AN AP CARRY) and needs to know whats coming. Once reaching level six and if your lane is pushing well feel free to travel to middle lane and use your ult to take out an enemy champion located behind the tower. You can almost always make shots in the middle of the river. It's a great way to get an enemy kill, slow mid's leveling, and annoy the enemy team.

This may sound weird but Lux + Soraka is the best lane combo I have every had. This is the basic break down:

As Lux buy the above items and do your thing. Your lane has just turned into a never ending laning phase where you can farm like no tomorrow! Watch as you enjoy infinite mana and health thanks to Soraka. Feel free to pop your E ( Lucent Singularity) continuously as you shall never run out of mana. Also feel free to become a little bit more aggressive since you have Soraka and her infinite health!

As Soraka you should build Mana Manipulator early game with some A.O.E cool-down reduction. Continue to stack cool-down reduction and consider getting a Will of the Ancients for the extra AP for Lux. You can also build an Abyssal Scepter so Lux can get another AP item (2nd Rabadon's Deathcap or Archangel's Staff).

Watch as your ult's cool-down reachs 15 second in one hour plus games and your AP hits above 1,000. You become unstoppable.

Did you read the title? Steal Baron....

Have a ward on baron and time your ult at about 20% of his health (depending on how much damage they are doing)

Remember that it takes 2 ~ 3 seconds to cast your ult so give your self appropriate timing.

But what if I don't have a ward on baron?!?!

Use your E ( Lucent Singularity) to give your self sight.
