Hello, my name is Victor and I play as "New Player" on the BR server. I am, today, a Shen lover, he is my "safe pick" in ranked games and one, if not, the most played champion for me in season 5. In this guide I'll(try to) put all my knowledge on Shen in here, but keep in mind that this is a work in progress forever! That means I'll keep updating it as I think something might need improvement. All you comments and opinions are welcome! Hope you enjoy the guide.

Pros
- Incredible Tank
- Global Pressure
- Easy to play with
- When mastered is a monster
- No Mana
- Has a good Follow Up/ Escape
- Can turn Fights Around

Cons
- Player has too be patient
- Not as much damage as most top laners.
- Need a player with good map awareness


Conclusion: Shen is a pretty good champion overall.

Obs. 1: Do not get the Trinity Force as first item. As Shen you'll get it later, you need to be tanky first. Don't be pressured to get it, full tank Shen is so good you don't even need those damage items.

Obs. 2: If their support is going full Utility or Tank do not count him as a damage threat. For example a full utility karma support or full tank leona, you don't get items to counter their damage. If it is a d 4 AD team with 1 utility karma support bot you don't need to worry 'bout her in the beginning of the game, get one MR item later just so she wont do much damage to you.

obs. 3: The ( 4AP 1 AD ) game is kinda tricky, so you'll need to pay attention to the AD champ. If he is fed you'll need 2 armor items and max 3( if he has almost all the kills in the enemy team). You don't want to get more than 2, usually, because you need to survive the other 4 champions damage.

Shen's (standart) build is simple:

One item that gives Health AND Damage(H+D)
Four defensive items (DI)
Boots, USUALLY defensive -> 99% of the time defensive.

Standart Buy Order:

(DI)--> (H+D)--> (boots) --> (DI)--> (DI) --> (DI)--> (DI)

Sometimes if you are behind you either go full tank or only get the (H+D) item for last.

Possible Items
Trinity Force: It's the ideal item for Shen, if you want to get an item that deals damage for Shen, get this. It gives an ocasional critical chance, that combined with his passive is deadly! It also has a movement speed buff, which is ideal to stick with the target(s), besides this item does "tons of damage"!

Randuin's Omen: Really good against a team that you either need to peel or prevent the other team from running, which is almost every game scenario, making this item exceptionally versatile. It is a well balanced item and is bought almost every time for tanks due to its
utility. Just remember, I put almost every possible situational build on the top with notes. If you have doubt on what to build, look in the top and read the notes and it will probably give you some good ideas.
