Like any early game jungler, Graves is really scary for Sion, especially since Graves can stack armor before fighting him. When against a Graves, play safe until you get your Titanic Hydra, as then you will be able to dish out a ton of damage on him.
Fiddlesticks
Fiddlesticks is a super easy matchup for Sion, you beat him at all stages of the game, and can even invade him. In addition, your to tanky to be killed by his R.
Vayne
Although you won't be fighting a Vayne, her tank shred is extremely dangerous for Sion. If she tries to engage, just run (although if your fed you have a chance).
Evelynn
Just like Fiddlesticks, Evelynn is easy pickings for Sion, he can withstand her burst and beat her at all stages of the game. However, watch out for her in the midgame if she's fed, especially without Titanic Hydra, as if she's smart she can win a fight against you.
Ekko
Although he can kite your Qs, Sion majorly outscales Ekko. This matchup is very skill oriented, and the better player will likely win.
Lillia
Lillia is one of the strongest counters to Sion jungle. Her burn, itemization, and mobility makes her impossible to deal with. I recommend banning her or Trundle as Sion.
Master Yi
Yi is a fairly straightforward matchup for Sion, if he Qs you in the middle of your R, don't cancel it, when he comes out he will be directly in front of it and just die.
Olaf
Olaf is really powerful against Sion, although not to the extent of Lillia. His R is a counter to all of your kit, and he outduals you and can invade you easily. The best thing to do against an Olaf is to not engage and wait to scale.
Nidalee
Another early game jungler, if Nidalee is smart she will invade you, as by midgame you can tank multiple max range spears with no problem.
Kha'Zix
Kha'Zix is a tricky matchup, but he can't invade you as safely as some other junglers. Kha'Zix will be forced to try and get good gank tempo early and snowball himself or other lanes, or you will just passively outscale him.
Hecarim
Just like Kha'Zix Hecarim needs to do good early to win this matchup or he will get outscaled. As Sion until Titanic Hydra you lose the 1v1 so steer clear unless you have rotating laners.
Kayn
Kayn is not that scary, but he is very slippery so be cautious when engaging. His R lasts long enough to go through your R (most of the time) and he can exit behind you.
Later game no matter what form he takes he can't really 1v1 you.
Elise
This is almost the same matchup as Nidalee, she will try to invade and kill you early. Don't fight her at all pre-6.
Rek'Sai
Rek'Sai is mostly a skill matchup. A good Rek'Sai will certainly invade you, but once you get Steelcaps or an Armor item it become so much harder for Rek'Sai to fight you.
Nunu & Willump
Your R is just a better Nunu snowball, and you outdamage him. His will have more objective control then you though, but you beat him 1v1 in almost every scenario.
Shaco
Shaco can't burst you so he will have to snowball himself or other lanes. However, you don't beat him until you have a couple items but once you have them the matchup becomes really easy.
Talon
He beats you in a 1v1 and is very slippery, against a Talon expect invades. You massively out scale him though.
Heimerdinger
You won't be fighting Heimer in the jungle, but you can literally E his turrets at him. Heimer cannot beat a Sion, ever.
Lee Sin
Lee Sin can bully you off camps early, but unless he snowballs you can get away from him in the midgame and beat him in the late game.
Anivia
It is very easy to Anivia to stop your R with her wall. She will just NOPE your teamfight potential.
Trundle
This is one of Sion's biggest counters, he will steal your tankiness and AD you conveniently have with this build. I recommend banning him or Lillia as Sion.
Kassadin
Kassadin just isn't threatening to Sion, by the time Kassadin gets strong, Sion is way to bulky for it to matter.
Xin Zhao
Xin Zhao will be really scary early game, but by midgame you're usually tanky enough to run away before dying.
Xin is really put on a timer to snowball other lanes, so expect frequent ganks and invades.
Fiora
You're just a sack of HP for Fiora to heal from. Never fight her until you have like 10k plus health and 500 AD (which I guess is possible but will never happen). Just don't fight her unless you feel like losing.
Cho'Gath
This is the AP variant of Sion. If Cho builds a Demonic Embrace, its burn will do more damage to you than your Titanic Hydra. You can stack HP more, but Cho'gath can just out-duel you. Just be wary because although in teamfights you're almost the same champion, the fact that Cho might have a Demonic Embrace puts him as a major threat.
Although if you want to play a off meta jungle tank chuncks and isn't Sion, Cho'gath is a good option.
Plus I want to see a Chu-chu-chu-chu'gath skin with him as like a train conductor. I don't know why.
Veigar
The true infinite scaling mage, Veigar has a ton of damage. In my opinion, Sion scales harder, because veigar has to kill units with a specific ability to get stacks or hit champions, which cost resources. By the time Veigar has 200 stacks, Sion has well over 1000+ bonus hp, and Sion can just ult through Veigar cage.
Plus Titanic Hydra gives you infinite damage to.
Nasus
Nasus may be perceived as scary but just like Veigar, he has to kill a unit witha. specific ability to get stacks, and that takes mana. Plus he has to get to you. Nasus may be able to 1v1 you, but he can't really get to you in the first place. Nasus will only ever be scary is he's super fed.
Kayle
This is almost identical to Kassadin, too easy. Plus you can actually camp a Kayle which is just funny.
Neeko
Neeko has relatively easy to land CC and high damage, and combined with Sion's lockdown, make for free kills or flashes whenever she lands her root.
Ahri
If she lands her charm, you can get a fully charged Q, which will lead to kills and summoner spells being used.
Fizz
Sion and Fizz are really strong together, as Sion can easily set up Fizz Rs, which are basically free kills.
Graves
It's really hard to gank for a Graves unless they are really fed, as they can't capitalize onto the CC as good as Assassins and Burst Mages.
Yasuo
You have two knock-ups. A Yasuo will get absolutely spoon-fed by Sion, as long as they aren't inting.
Swain
Swain can capitalize on all your CC.
Malphite
Malphite is not an ideal top laner to be with Sion because they overlap in a lot of places, in addition it is really hard to gank for Malphite, as you both to pitiful damage in all-ins early on.
Anivia
Anivia can capitalize on your CC pretty well, but its worth noting a bad Anivia will cancel your R with her wall. This is a champion where a good one is really good with Sion, but a bad one will cause both of you to be useless.
it is also worth noting that only a really, really, really bad Anivia will cancel your R.
Ornn
Ornn is not that great with Sion. Typically, as Sion you want your top laner to be a bruiser or at least have high damage, but Ornn doesn't have that, and you and Ornn overlap in to many places and his Q technically can stop your R.
Lux
Burst mages and assassins with a CC ability are right where Sion shines best.
Kayle
It's hard to gank for a Kayle and she takes too long to come online. Both of you are vying to be the team's hyperscaler, which just leaves your early game trash.
Kassadin
Kassadin, although he has a lot of damage, takes to long to come online and is impossible to gank for.
Heimerdinger
Heimerdinger has enough damage to really makes use of Sion's CC. If Sion manages to CC an enemy in the middle of two or three of Heimerdinger's turrets, they are surely dead.
Zoe
Zoe can oneshot people with your setup, if you R, she can land her E, and then procede to one shot the enemy laner.
Sejuani
Sion doesn't really synergize with other tanks, and this is no exception. Sejauni will be impossible to gank for and even then the enemy can probably just walk away as your damage is pitiful.
Soraka
With a Spirit Visage and some heal power built up by Soraka, late game Sion can easily take over 12k, 13k damage. No joke, with an Enchanter its possible to take every ult, and focus from the entire enemy team and still live.
Volibear
Voli is an alright pairing with Sion, as long as he builds damage and not tank. If you land your R, then he can land his R, and just win.
Pre-6 you can't gank for your Voli though, and if he's against a ranged champion forget about it. Teamfighting is where the syngery is.
Master Yi
Yi can only be useful when ahead. Yi can only be useful to Sion when ahead.
Yi is just self explanatory, as one of the most snowball-y champions in the game, when's he ahead, one second of CC is all he needs to delete the entire enemy team, but when's he's behind, it takes no CC for the enemy team to delete him.
Aatrox
Lots of Knockups together, but Aatrox/Sion have no real synergies or antisynergies.
Brand
Any Brand worth their salt will be able to Q stun off your knockups. And from there Brand can take it.

Sion is really strong if you know how to play him. he offers stronger teamfight potential than even a Malphite or Kennen, but only if you play him well. In the jungle, Sion can farm HP way quicker than in toplane, and you're in a stronger position to impact the map with your R. Sion is probably the champion with the least gold dependency because he has a lot of CC and permanently increases his health every time he kills a unit.
This build is what I like to call a "Full Health" build which builds items with a ridiculously large amount of health, in order to utilize Titanic Hydra to make you hit like a truck, and Gargoyle Stoneplate to make you able to withstand a truck.
This build is very durable, offers high damage, and prevents targets from escaping you. However, all this upside comes with the big downside of not being able to contribute much until you get at a minimum your R and Mythic (Frostfire Gauntlets).
For your first clear, you generally want to just start on bot side for a good leash. As Sion you want to full clear, as you couldn't contest scuttle when it was super valuable and now that doesn't even matter. Plus in a full clear you generate about 150 permanent extra Max Health. Make sure to back when you can get a Bami's Cinder as it significantly increases clear speed early on, and more clearing equals more health.
Sion jungle is really good if you have a team with a lot of upfront damage and a little bit of CC for really strong lockdown. Typically Sion synergies with burst mages a lot as they usually have a CC spell and a ton of damage to kill the enemy. Assassins also work really well, but they typically lack the all important CC, but they make up for it by having usually more damage.
Sion does not synergize with a tank in the top lane, as both of them have a lot of CC and overlap too much. The only way for them to really work together is if you have a high damage mid laner and a carry support. Sion's worst nightmare is having a Malphite top, Galio mid, and a Leona support (adcs are mostly all the same, damage). If you are determined to play Sion with a team like that, play Lethality or just play another jungler. Another thing Sion doesn't like are scalers with no gank setup, think Kayle or Kassadin.
Sion is generally fine with bruisers, adcs (ones like Draven are really good for him), and enchanters.
