Introduction

Ashe is squishy, everyone knows she's an easy kill and she's rightfully targeted. I've always wanted to make a tanky support ashe, but it never seemed feasible... kill or be killed. With the new ability tree tanky Ashe seems like a reality, if she starts out a killer, moves to a support role and evolves into an extra ADC - Slashe. So far i've been laning with Garen and powering him up, then emerging as a force to be reckoned with mid-late game while Garen becomes a wrecking ball thanks to the kills I feed him with my early pokes and slows. To me early poking is the funnest part of the game and with pick pocket receiving three gold for being a pain in the *** to the opposing team is... gold!

The part that I'm loving almost as much is in mid game. I initiate a lot of team fights with ice. Everyone then targets squishy Ashe, but Slashe is there and their focus often can't kill her or it takes a while. My team rushes to my aid and I slow the oppossing with multiple volleys and frost shots allowing my team mates to clean up.

The other thing I love about Slashe is the early mana well accumulates by late game and I can nearly leave frost shot on all the time and spam volley like a madman for poking the opposing jerks.

Most everything else you need to know is covered by jhoijhoi in her ADC Ashe build, which I started out with. I got bored of squishy Ashe and wanted to step outside the box... so far, so good. Give me some feedback and let me know how this build works for you or what I can do to tweek it (it's been tweeked a lot already and I'm doing way better having added the cooldown items... more volleys, more ice = early surrender).

Say good bye to squishy Ashe and enjoy Slashe!

Switching Gears

To start you are a great killer with a Doran's blade and a health potion (you don't need boots of speed because your ability picks have made you less of a snail arse from the beginning). Add another Doran's blade or a BF Sword (if you've done well early) and you have a lot of respect to start building the Tear of the Goddess. Use your frosts most of the time and work the volley to gain 4 mana every three seconds. You're in more of a support role now. Assist a melee character to power them up (you'll receive assist gold) and they should be there to save your bacon. Gold is coming from the new ability picks and pounding volleys into minions/monsters. Hit level 6, get your ice and you're a killer again... but use the ice for team fights/assisting your partner, don't be greedy and it's an early surrender... the opposing can't handle a powered up volley that's pumped out every few seconds.
