That's my first guide on Mobafire and I hope you'll understand that a Support is better with Support item than Ap Item.
Support is more than a ''Filler Role'', you'll be the most important player in your team, you'll be the pillar of your team in a teamfight...Anyway I hope you'll understand the role of a REAL SUPPORT not another ''Full AP Support'' (Sorry I hate full AP Sona without any Support item like Ardent Censer (Best item in the game))

Season 3 stats (Didnt really play in Season 4)

Pros + Easy to use + Poke Master # Power Chord + Auras + Large AoE Stun + VERY Good Late game + A Very Nice Personalitits

Why WellXDone Why ? Easy To Use : Only One Skillshot and the ult is so large it's hard to miss. Poke Master : You can Spam Hymn of Valor + Power Chord With Greater Mark of Hybrid Penetration = Poke Master, Nuff Said VERY Good Late game : Enemy ADC is fed ? Not a big deal if you Crescendo him + Team if possible :)

Why WellXDone Why ? Mana Hungry : If your ADC is getting poked you have no choice but to spam Aria of Perseverance No Hard escape : You only have your Crescendo

Cons - Squishy - Mana Hungry(If you W a lot) - No hard escape

After 3 ability casts, Sona's next basic attack will deal magic damage, with an additional effect depending on the last basic ability cast.
Power Chord Can be used in 3 different way from her last Spell (QWE)

Power Chord+ Hymn of Valor : Power Chord deals 40% bonus damage.
Well's Note : Always use that in early game to poke down the enemy ADC
Power Chord+ Aria of Perseverance : Power Chord will reduce the target's damage output by 20% (+ 2% per 100 AP) for 3 seconds.
Well's Note : Can be usefull late game to reduce the damage output of the enemy ADC
Power Chord+ Song of Celerity : Power Chord will slow the target by 40% (+ 4% per 100 AP) for 2 seconds.
Well's Note : Very good if you want to chase an enemy early/late game


Power Chord's bonus damage will go through Counter Strike and Riposte parry, while the triggering attack will be mitigated; however, this can miss and be blocked
Banshee's Veil will block Power Chord's damage.





Sona sends out bolts of sound that deal 40 / 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 (+60% of ability power) magic damage to the two nearest enemies within 700-range, prioritizing champions.

Basically, that the spell you'll use the most to poke down your enemy early game + Doesn't cost a lot of mana so that's the spell you'll spam early game to charge your Power Chord


Banshee's Veil will block the bolts. Tips of the day : Try to pop the Banshee's Veil of your enemy with your Hymn of Valor so your teammate can burst him down.








Sona heals herself and a nearby allied champion for 30 / 50 / 70 / 90 / 110 (+20% of ability power). The healing is increased by 0.5% for every 1% of the target's missing health.

Really weak early game but late game the heal is really good.


Aria of Perseverance will not heal minions or pets, but it will heal LeBlanc's Mirror Image, Mordekaiser's Children of the Grave, Shaco's Hallucinate and Wukong's Warrior Trickster (These units are considered champions for all intents and purposes).







Sona gains 13 / 14 / 15 / 16 / 17% (+ 2 / 4 / 6 %) (+ 7.5% per 100 AP) movement speed that decays down to the aura bonus over 3 seconds. The movement speed bonus is increased by an additional 2% for each rank in Crescendo.

That's the only spell you'll have to espace early lvl [-lvl 6]
Give a really good boost to get to the lane faster / to go in/out of a trade.

Hymn of Valor's aura is a boost to Sona and allied champions whithin the range of the aura which is a bit small(~350 Range(As you can see from the picture above)) but even if it's is small, you can easily move to get in-range of everyone giving them the damage they might need to kill someone.


Sona and allied champions tagged with Hymn of Valor's aura deal 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 (+10 / 20 / 30) (+20% of ability power) bonus magic damage on their next basic attack within 3 seconds. The damage increases by 10 for each rank in Crescendo.




Aria of Perseverance's aura is another boost to Sona and allied champions within the range but this time, it'll give a shield to everyone within the aura.
I use that spell when we are IN the teamfight and i also try to atack the enemy ADC with my Power Chord active.
Aria of Perseverance is what make Sona the best Support in the game in a teamfight and you'll see why in my ''Choosing Item''.


Sona and allied champions tagged with Aria of Perseverance's aura are shielded for 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 (+ 10 / 20 / 30) (+20% of ability power) up to 1.5 seconds. The shield's strength increases by 10 for each rank in Crescendo.



Song of Celerity's aura is another boost to Sona and allied champions.
I like that spell because you can use it to chase, to escape and to slow with Power Chord this is also good when you save someone by speeding them and slowing the enemy chasing them with your Power Chord if you have it.


Allied champions tagged with Song of Celerity's aura gain 10 / 11 / 12 / 13 / 14 % (+ 2 / 4 / 6 %) (+ 3.5% per 100 AP) movement speed for 1.5 seconds. The movement speed bonus is increased by an additional 2% for each rank in Crescendo.

Frost Queen's Claim Give you Ap, Cdr, Mana Regen, Gold Generation and a CC.
Frost Queen's Claim+ Power Chord+ Song of Celerity and the enemy will be slowed...alot, wich is good for your Team/Adc.




Twin Shadows Give Ap, Even more Cdr, Movement Speed and another CC
Twin Shadows Is very good against stealth champ OR you can use it to chase someone.




Ardent Censer Give Ap, Even more Cdr, Even more Movement Speed and 100% Base Mana Regen

Ardent Censer Your heals and shields on another unit grant them 25% Attack Speed for 6 seconds...If you Aria of Perseverance the whole team, it mean that you give 25% Attack Speed for each of them...which is actually op.




I didn't talk about those items because it's too situational/you already know what it is/to do with it.

I saw Kalista in my team so i rushed an Ardent Censer first for even more attack speed for her --> GG



Same thing with Ezreal He was already fed so i rushed an Ardent Censer to help my team.
