Champion Build Guide

Stacked fate

Welcome
First and foremost experiment. Tf is a champ unlike any other. You can make him work with a literally countless number of set ups builds and rune sets. The reason I love tf so much is his ability to do it all.

When I hit m 7 I went on a quest to run very keystone on him and make it work. I have done so and can safely say that aery hail of blades, and glacial augment were the only ones I didn't think had some validity. He's a champion you can do whatever you would like with and can more often than not make it work.

Impoartanly he is not your ticket out of bronze, or silver, or iron. If you get good enough he will be just because you'll be the best player in all your games but where he really shines is as a ticket to plat, or dia, or above. There's a reason the best solo q player in the world is a tf main.

Past DOPA faker also says that every mid lane player should play TF in order to learn how to properly play their wave and play the map with ult.
Ult
Twisted fate ult is dare I say it the strongest ability in all of league of legends.

The power it has only increases as you and your teams get better. Global vision is ****ing nuts, anything any champ in the game can see you can see. This invalidates camo and invis allowing you to for example ruin a kha zix's day when they want to go in with ult. If you're thinking you might get collapsed, ult and you can see from where and can ult out.

The obvious use everyone knows is ulting in to stun a target and while don't get me wrong for a second a potentially free kill against someone who had full vision control by showing up right behind them with a two second stun is nuts.

But the fact that the start and end points aren't globally visible (if you ult into a bush they don't know you're there unless it's warded) allow for some crazy ****. The backdoor potential has won me plenty of games but the crowing bit of bs that reeeeally pushes it over the line.

It's not cancelled by damage so you can sometimes ult out of a combo and also its channel time is shorter than your gold card stun. Assuming no tenacity at level 13 twisted fate can be ghost flashed on by a darius, tf casts ult then stuns and channels out. There is no couterplay to this unless you have qss or tenacity. It's just crazy and when you are using it as most picture (ulting to gank a sidelane) and lock a card, if you attack move spam on top of the enemy champ as your ult goes the throw can not be stopped with a stun no matter what. If they say frame one darius pull you, yes you will be pulled but the darius will also be stunned.

It's crazy but just remember its mana cost so you don't ult into a team fight and oom yourself out of a stun card.
Cards
Cards are good huh? Blue card offers the highest damage and some nice sustain, Red card offers good aoe damage and a slow.

IMPORTANT: red card aoe is far far bigger than 90% of players expect. Even in diamond players are often surprised by how huge it really is. If you're trying to shove the wave throw it near the enemy champ and just see how big the aoe is. If they get slowed they also got hit meaning you got free poke if you were trying to card the wave anyway. Especially at higher levels of W this slow is enough to confirm wild cards against immobile champions.

As everyone knows twisted fate w is his bread and butter. You max q for damage and wave power and w second for longer stuns, higher damage, more mana, and longer slows. When people don't understand why tf scales so well the best way to explain it is with w. Late game you have a one button point and click ability that stuns for 2 seconds, from rapid fire cannon has more range than most skill shots, and is on a roughly 4 second cooldown. Mine you this is nor a root, it's a stun. If you think that a leona q is a death sentence in a team fight, imagine much higher damage a lower cooldown since his build gets more cdr, a burst from his q, and oh by the way this ****er can just show up behind you with ult to make sure you die.
Conclusion
Well, that's about all I have to say, this guide is long so if you just skipped to this part hey fair enough. I love how malleable tf is and his ability to fit nearly any team comp. I love that he has early power, roams, and cc and scales super hard. I love that even in the worst matchups you can outplay your opponent's map and win that way. He's hard, like really hard. It's taken me multiple years to really get the hang of him. Don't expect to do well at first and just do your best.

At the end of the day it's a game to play and have fun with right? If you aren't enjoying it you might want to switch to doing something else.

Oh and one small thing to all tf players. Remember, you are nothing without a team and your mini map. Your waves are under your control and once you get good you can smother out entire teams if you're the best player in the lobby, you won't win every game but in every game you will have agency. Hope luck is smiling and best of luck in your games.
