Hi I am EternitySky, or ES for short, and this is my guide to a really pro Gangplank build.
I will state now that this is by no means the most effective way to play Gangplank, that is why it is under the humour section, or should be, but it is a very amusing, and if done right, really impressive way to play GP.
I will assume that you, the reader, is already extremely familiar, if not a master, of the basics of LoL before attempting this build.
Without further ado let us begin.
Pros:
- Cannon Barrage does way more damage than it is supposed to.
- Remove Scurvy cleanses any CC for good escape and sustainability
- Remove Scurvy heals a decent amount
- Surprise your enemy, surprise your allies
- Since GP is usually a carry, people easily underestimate your resilience, slapping them in the face late game.
Cons:
- Weak Parrrley
- Weak start
- Gets you banned if you suck with it
- People think your kidding in champion select

I highly recommend these for you have an even higher chance of failing miserably if you use the *wrong* runes.
Greater Mark of Desolation
Pick whatever you want actually, although its highly recommended that you follow mine because I have tested mine on this *pro* build and you have not.
The Greater Mark of Desolation are there for a reason. Even with Sheen, Parrley is based off of physical damage, so that is to let your Parrley do at least some decent damage early game. Contrary to what you would believe, GP does not need Magic Pen runes as none of his early game abilities deal magic damage.

The core item build is

is very important and should be the first item after
because it actually allows your no AD
to do enough damage to matter.
is the very basis of your tankiness and thus is very important, the catalyst that makes it also grands godlike laning ability.
provides CDR AND armor, making it a very fair 2 in 1 deal, and provides a fair chunk of mana to GP's pitiful pool.
Get the rest depending on situation (i.e.
if they have lots of casters,
if you aren't healing enough from
, etc etc). Note this is a large core build and it takes some time, so you might want to play safe for the first few minutes of the game.

Others that offer a decent benefit:
Redundant:
-Whats CC again?
-You already run like Usain Bolt, although if you really think you need it...
Beyond Pro:
-Wouldn't you rather live instead of the tower? Hur hur
-Be pro even if your dead.
-Too pro for the mortal man.
-Yay, more mana, sharing is caring
-I can SEE you!!! :O
-SMITE THY HEATHEN FOES! oh wait you can't
Self explanatory, great for running and initiating.
Ignite, exhaust and heal are also great choices that can help you immensely, but you would have to give up either ghost or flash.
Take cleanse if you wanna be extra pro and literally immune to CC.

This build takes time, have patience. Cross lane farm with
to expedite the process, and the ult can also be used to stop lane pushes as with AP it is obviously very powerful.
Protecting your life is important, don't hesitate to run if you can't win, only stupid people stay and die. Between

you should be able to leave your team far behind you. Its like the story of your friend and the bear, don't run faster than
