Welcome, everyone, to vortexchicken2's first guide on MOBAFire! This guide is on the League's newest champion, Kha'Zix. With a unique kit suited perfectly to jungling, Kha'Zix is a powerful addition to any team. Why? He has AMAZING burst potential with Taste Their Fear, a heal with Void Spike, and he EVOLVES (not sure how that helps, but it's cool!). Zix is an overall very fun champion to play for those who enjoy more the ganking aspect of jungling, as well as for those who enjoy bursting down hapless enemies. So, without further ado, I present to you, Kha'Zix - the Voidreaver!

Cons
- Squishy - will die if focused by enemies - Taste Their Fear is only REALLY useful if enemy is isolated - pro enemies will take advantage of that by hiding with minions - Relies heavily on the brush to make full advantage of Unseen Threat - Needs some farm to be of use to the team - Leap and Void Assault have long cooldowns - you will die if caught unprepared while these are down. |
With Kha'zix, I feel it is only viable to run one way, and that is the way of an AD Carry, maximizing your damage output (a.k.a. DPS) while building some slight tankiness. I take Bladed Armor and Tough Skin to help speed your jungling route a maximize ganks. We take Executioner for that extra tick of damage when chasing after enemies.
- Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage: We want as much damage out of Kha'zix as we can. More damage = more kills = fed Kha'Zix = team WIN
- Greater Mark of Attack Damage: Again, more damage!
- Greater Glyph of Armor: This offers a slight armor boost for protection against strong Physical damage champions.
- Greater Seal of Armor: Same as the glyph - bonus armor.
Smite: Universal spell for junglers. But I can kill Blue (and/or Red) without Smite though, you might say. So what. Smite is useful for finished Blue or Red with more overall health, and it lets you steal enemy Dragon or Baron, as well as securing Baron or Dragon for your team. Fantastic jungling spell overall. |

Exhaust: Standard AD Carry counter. Helps shut down that pesky fed Vayne or Corki. Use this spell before unleashing your full combo on your unsuspecting prey. |

Flash: I don't normally take flash, but if you get caught out without your Void Assault or Leap, then you're dead. I could see why you would want this as a defensive spell, but I prefer the offensive spell Exhaust instead. Take this if you're going to go top instead of jungle. Ghost is also viable. |
Gives extra damage on your next hit once you are not visible to enemy champions.
Unseen Threat is a charge that Kha'zix gains when he is not visible any enemy champions. This charge is expended on his next attack, causing it to deal bonus damage and slow the target. Very useful in ganks.
Taste their Fear
Does damage to single target. IF the target is isolated, it does more damage.
Pretty self-explanatory, hit Q and click a target. Commence damage. If the target is isolated from allies, they'll have an orange circle around them. The attack does more damage if the target is isolated.
Void Spike
Fires a spike that stops when it hits enemies (it explodes). IF Kha'zix is in the explosion range, he is healed.
Pretty useful when jungling for regaining back some health. Kha'zix just shoots out a spike that does damage to the first enemy it hits, and can heal him if he is in range.
Leap
Leaps to target area, dealing damage.
Use this like you would Tristana's Rocket Jump. Useful mobility spell; just keep in mind that the cooldown is rather large. Don't waste it, as you're going to need this spell once the enemy team realizes you are also an AD Carry and begin focusing you.
Void Assault
Stealths and gains more movement speed. Can be cast again within 10 seconds for no cost.
This is Kha'zix's Get out of Jail Free card. You can use it to chase the enemy, to juke the enemy, to gank, and it is the spell that lets you evolve all your other spells, which is what Kha'zix is all about. Very important.
- Evolved Claws: Makes Taste Their Fear hit so much harder on isolated targets. Evolve this if you need more damage, or looking for even more harass.
- Evolved Spikes: Fires out three spikes in a cone instead of the single shot. Evolve this if you're taking more damage than you would like.
- Evolved Wings: Makes Leap an exact duplicate of Tristana's Rocket Jump. Evolve if you're going for more mobility or if you're going to tower dive a lot.
- Evolved Active Camouflage: You can now cast Void Assault three times instead of two with no extra cost. You also take less damage while stealthed. Evolve if you need more damage or you need more mobility.
I noticed that a lot of people seem to think that evolutions have a set order. This is NOT TRUE. Kha'zix's evolutions are what make him unique, and they should be evolved when they have to. For example: if you plan on assasinating a lot of enemies, evolving Taste Their Fear might be a good bet, or if you're going to tower dive that low HP Sivir, Leap would provided better utility. Void Assault should almost always be evolved, due to the loads of extra mobility it provides. But yeah, keep that in mind.
What are you waiting for? Go kill Rengar already! Make him sorry he ever entered the League!
Obviously, rank your Void Assault first, because it provides so much utility, and is what allows you to evolve your other abilities. Taste Their Fear comes next, as it is your main source of damage. Void Spike is useful for harassing the enemy and for healing back your opponent's harass. I max Leap last because it is primarily a utility spell; we just want a point in it early for ganking (or easier harass if you're laning top).

: Kha'zix hits like a truck. A big, purple, spiky truck. Wriggles helps, first of all, your team, due to its free Sight Ward every couple of minutes. Wriggles also helps you stay alive longer due to the lifesteal. Lifesteal is tremendous on Kha'zix. At level 18, assuming full build, you will be healing (with Wriggles alone!) 137 damage per hit. This helps tremendously when you're trying to kill enemies. Additionally, Wriggles gives you a chance to deal massive damage to minions/monsters. This helps you level faster. Remember, a fed Kha'zix wins the game for his teammates. Buy Wriggles.

: More Attack Speed = More Damage = Fed Kha'zix. You see where I'm going with this guy? Oh, and extra speed is always welcome, especially on such a fragile champion like Kha'zix.
-
: Very helpful item overall. Gives Attack Damage, Attack Speed, Movement Speed, Critical Chance, Cooldown Reduction (MORE spam with Taste Their Fear!), and Armor Penetration. What more could you ask for?
-
: Pretty self-explanatory; almost required on every AD burst champion.
-
: Tanky item that still helps your damage. The passive shield is nice when going up against mages like Annie.
- : EVEN MORE AD FOR PURE KILLING but yeah, the cleaver provides AD, more attack speed, and it shreds your opponent's armor.
You are not a tank. Never initiate.
Pretty self-explanatory; you go in there first and you will get your *** kicked. then you get to sit back and contemplate your 45 second death timer. True story.
Mobility and Evasion are the way to survive in any team fight.
You are very squishy, especially with a build like this one, which maximizes damage output. As it is, you will be targeted like any other squishy AD Carry, such as Graves, Sivir, Vayne, etc. Void Assault is your best friend.
You shall not die.
Dying is generally seen as a really bad mistake in Lol. Don't do it. Your team needs you, and really, whats the fun in playing a game if you're going to die?
YOU ARE NOT A TANK, AND WILL NOT INITIATE LIKE ONE!
Never forget this. This is the GOLDEN RULE when playing Kha'zix.
