The Basics

Don't spam away his q too often especially in the lane phase . make every shot count, make sure it will hit the enemy champion because he is very mana hungry. play aggressively in the early stage, as he is very good at harassing. take advantage of his passive, q-double shot can do a massive amount of damage to the opposing adc in the early game. relatively low base attack.

How to fight in a 1v1

The best way to fight a 1v1 as lucian is to open with Q then double shot, W then double shot, sure not to use your E just whenever, dodge a skillshot with it then double. Shot. Make sure you always double shot after an ability before you use another ability.

How to teamfight

use your ult to poke them down before an actual fight or engage. This way they will be low before the fight begins and therefore giving your team the upper hand. During the actual fights make sure to be outputting consistent damage and utilizing your double shot in the most effective way as I said above. It is important in teamfights just as much as it is in a 1v1. Don't use a second ability until you have gotten the double shot value from the first.
