Katarina is a high mobility and dps' champion, who can destroy the entire enemy team in seconds.
Katarina is quite fun and not too easy to play, her mechanics are quiet hight.
Mostly she is about good timing and positioning of your daggers.
If you enjoy carry champs with alot of mobility give Katarina a try :)!

For the runes I prefer flat ad reds for the early auto hit the trades on kat , health per lvl is good vs ap and ad laners , magic pen blues for the extra early game dmg and magic pen quints are for the early game to but if you prefer you can run either ap , mr , or 10%CDR blues and ap quints. It's totally up to you :)!

For the masteries I go 12/18/0 these are almost the standart Katarina masteries, but I prefer to take the 5% CDR instead of the magic pen per lvl , since you already got alot in the runes and it feels smoother to use the e in the early , because of the 2 points in the e and extra 5% CDR.

For Items I usally always rush sorcery boots into hextech gunblade into zhonyas against ad or abyssal against ap then I buy voidstaff and guardian angel and to top it of i buy a rabadon for the extra burst.
If you team dosent have alot of tanks I usally buy deadmans plate vs AD and spirit visage against ap after my gunblade.
You can even buy rylais if your team got enough Damage , its more health , ap and a nice slow.

For the skills I usaly take 2 points in the e to get it to a lower CDR for more mobility and more dmg and resets.

Summoner spells are always ignite and flash , sometimes i go exhaust and ignite but only against a enemy team with not mutch mobility / cc , if you play kat top you can even go tp ignite.

In Total Kat is a fun and hight carry champ with alot potential.
If you enjoy such stuff try her out , you cant go wrong she got me to diamond :)

Pros:
- Lots of Mobility
- Lots of Damage
- Good in 1v1 and Teamfights

Cons:
- Bad against lots of CC
- Very squishy
- Timing based in teamfights.

Her entire kit is unique she got the nice reset mechanic on kills or by picking up the dagger, overall its a fun and enjoyable kit.

Farming is anoying as any meele champ but try to farm with your q in the early levels and play as agressiv as possible against your enemys and try to go for a early all in like in lvl 2-3 since you got hight autohit damage and alot of damage in the kit , if you lane is pushed in look for roams or go and take camps from the enemy jungler.

So first of all you got these basic combo's:

At level two you try to all in your enemy with E --> Auto--> Q --> Auto --->Ignite
Seond Level two all in combo is basiclly the same but you try to set up a Q dagger near the enemy and then E on your opponent and pick up the dager and ignite + auto.

At level 3 your combo is basiclly E on your enemy , auto them , use your W and wait a sec to pick it up again, then throw your Q after the enemy with a brief delay , so if you stand on the edge of your W you hit your Opponent then use your Q so he cant dodge the Q daggers position , so you can freely pick up the dagger and get extra damage on him.

These are the basic Combos from lvl 1-5


You mostly used combo's from lvl 6 are :

Use your E on the enemy then use your W , then Q the enemy , pick up your Q dagger with your E and start Ulting. (This Combo is the best one against mobile Champions.)


The second Combo is that you use your Eon the enemy then use your W and Q on the enemy , then press R and wait until he is near your Q dagger and pick it up and it should be a free kill.

The other Combo is basiclly the same but you wait with casting your Q , you are gonna throw it after he is out of your ult. ( This Combo is good to use against Targets that still have Flash, since it throws the dagger after them if they Flash at the last second, so if he flashes over a wall the dagger follows so you can follow up with a E on the dagger.)

Wall jump as Katarina :

Go near a thin wall and place your W as close as possible to the wall, then use your E on the other side of the wall , while pressing on the edge of the dagger.

In Team fights try to wait out their CC and then go in with Katarina, when you got Flash you can use your Flash into E to jump on the backline ADC or APC to oneshot them and then clean up with your resets.
