this is one of your hardest match ups because of garen's silence.. try to bait his silence and all in him when it runs out, it is also hard because he is full tank and still deals a lot of dmg

Spells

i usually use ignite/ flash.. but if you know that u can't kill the enemy laner you should take teleport instead of ignite

Pros / Cons

Pros:
Riven is a very strong duelist and has really good early game
Has Massive burst damage
Very high mobility with 4 dashes
Spells are on low cooldown especially when you have 30-40 cdr
One of the most snowball champions
Very strong if mastered
Has no resource which gives her a huge advantage in lane

Cons:
Highly counter by any kind of CC
Takes a lot of practice to master
Squishy and easily bursted
armor stacking is difficult for her
if your early game is messed up its hard to come back

animation canceling

the most basic animation canceling is the Q one... what you need to do is attack something with basic attack Q on them and press (move) somewhere... you can also animation cancel your ultimate and your W with your E..

combos

the most basic combo before level 6 is E-->W-->AA-->Q-->Move-->AA-->Q-->Move-->AA-->Q-->Move
after 6 your combo should look something like E-->R-->W-->AA-->Q-->Move-->AA-->Q-->Move-->AA-->E-->Q-->Hydra-->R

laning phase

all you wanna do is farm farm farm and harass the enemy with Q/W escape with E... if you feel that u can kill the enemy you should all in him at either level 3/4 or 6... if you are vs a hard match up dont even try to poke just farm and get your brutalizer and hydra

mid game

now that u have your brutalizer hydra and cdr boots.. you have do decide if you wanna go all mid and fight or keep split pushing top.. u will split only if you or your whole team is behind and you cant fight... in a fight its hard to execute your combos well and do animation canceling.. wait for some ultimates, cooldowns of enemy team to go in and kill the enemy adc or apc

late game

late game when u have full build u can pretty much 1v3 and u should just go 5v5 since u 1 shot the adc and apc but be careful 1 stun can mean your death and some tanks can **** you ap pretty hard
