You might not want rush to build this, if you need to be tanky build first Guardian Angel or Warmog. Great item for split pushing.


SITUATIONAL
Build if you are against ad based matchup. Buildif you are against ap based matchup. Sometimes I like to build Mercury's Treads even i'm against ad based matchup If enemy team has too much hard cc.


So far we build great damage. But we need to be tanky in team fights. So I suggest you to build warmog for health. and GA for armor and mr.

Last Item depends on the enemy team(You can build these items between GA and Warmog).

If their AD is fed you can build Atma's Impaler for more armor and you get great damage from it's passive.
But if you want to be more tanky, and help your team more, you can build Randuin's Omen. Another good item for split pushing is Iceborn Gauntlet, it's good in somany ways aoe dmg, cdr, and ofc armor.

If their AP is fed you can build 2 different great item. First one is Mercurial Scimitar has great damage, magic resist and active QSS to stop CC.
The other one is Maw of Malmortius with this item you gain little less magic resist but the shield and damage comes from passive very is really good for improve your damage and your tankyness.

Maxing first primal surge willgive you more stability in your lane. Another good thing about maxing first primal surge is when you start to trade with your oppenent you can restore decent amount of your lost hp, also attack speed buff is great for deal more auto attacks.

Since we are not building ap your spear won't deal much damage, so I suggest you to max it after primal surge.

And max your bushwhack last.

Hybrid penetration runes are very good for Nidalee but they are very expensive, if you can't afford to buy them you can also use armor penetration runes or attack damage runes.

Using movement speed quintessence runes very optional, I like the extra movement speed bonus makes easier, split pushing, chasing enemies and escape from enemies. You can use attack damage quintessence if you don't want to use movement speed quintessence.

Mixing magic resist glyph runes will make you stronger in mid game.

These masteries are for really aggresive play. Usually you won't be able to get buffs with Nidalee so I suggest you to use Biscuiteer. But you can also use Runic affinity instead of Biscuiteer.

USING YOUR TRAPS FOR SAFITY
As I suggested you to start with ability bushwhack, immediately place your traps in these locations.
In laning phase these traps will cover you from sneaky ganks.

USING YOUR TRAPS FOR AGGRESSION
Place your traps in randomly in bushes or lane and whenever your opponent step on the trap it's your time to start a fight with your oppenent. Spear and couple of autoattacks will do decent amount of damage with their reduced armor and magic resist.

NOTE:Put your trap under yourself against champions like Xin zhao, Lee sin, Jax who has jumping skills so when you start to trade with them you can deal more damage.

In early game Nidalee has huge advantage against most of the top laners with her ranged autoattacks. You should use this advantage very aggresive. But while you are doing this you will take minion agro, in early game minions deals tons of damage. You should use bushes in and out to avoid minion agro, also the movement speed bonus from your passive makes this harassment even easier. Keep this harassment till level 6.

When you hit level 6 it's your time to shine.

STEALING BUFF/CATCH ENEMY JUNGLER IN THE JUNGLE

Try to put a ward in enemy blue or red buff(depends on which side you are), and try to steal it. With that ward you can spot enemy jungler, and sometimes you can even catch the enemy jungler and kill him. But don't forget that sometimes doing this too risky, if they realize that you are missing or maybe even saw you passing by ward, you can find yourself in 1v2 maybe even 1v3 situation. Try to be sneaky, if it's risky don't do it. And always push your lane before do this.

GANKING MID

Push your lane and gank. Even if you can't come up with a kill you might force them to flash or recall. While you are ganking try to come from behind.

GANKING BOT/TAKE DRAGON

Comunicate with your jungler and support. Ask for where are the enemy wards, ask them clean up if they can. Because we don't want to fail with this gank, you want to come up with success and maybe a dragon with this gank because you might loose your turret. it has to worth for it. Anyways gank bot and do dragon.
IMPORTANT: Don't waste too much time on dragon if your team can kill dragon without your help go back to your lane, because when your opponent realize you are in bot lane, he will start to push and try to take your turret.

In this part of game you need to be little bit tanky. In team fights try to haunt on enemy APC or ADC, you can melt almost every APC and ADC in the game. If you haven't built Warmog or GA haunting mid game will be very hard for you.
Be communicated with your team and try to split push, split pushing will give huge amount of advantage to your team and you.

In this part of game, in team fights if it's neccessery be the one who dies, don't leave your team alone for just haunt ADC or APC.
