Introduction

Shen is one of my favorite champs because of how he can split push all day then tank an entire team. He has a great poke with a heal over time added and a very helpful shield + taunt. His passive is great for last hitting or combine it with E to do dmg then go into a bush. Just beware as he is much better to play on Skype with a team rather than solo/duo because of the ult timing. Remember to gank lanes with ult then teleport back top to continue farming!

Pros / Cons

Pros -Very Tanky late game
-Great Shields with W and R
-Sustain and poke with Q
-A taunt
-Good under turret farming

-Taunt costs lots of energy
-Rough laning vs bullies
-Squishy until core items built
-After q and passive no dmg

Items

Remember to always be flexible with your build, for instance if against an AP nidalee sunfire shouldn't be rushed but bulwark looks nice. Always be ready to change build based on enemy team.

Team Work

Team work with shen is very important. When you hit lvl 6 keep an eye on the left side of screen where it shows the health bars and be ready to ult! Also correspond with your jungle if lets say they have no ward/no flash or if they are pushing and you can taunt them into a gank.

Farming

AS Shen farming is very important. Around lvl 9 a q and passive basic will kill minions but earlier time your basics/passive and q to try to get all 6 minions a wave. Under turret wait for it to attack twice then basic or q. Lategame always be split pushing when ult is up and farming to get a full build fast and then tank everything forever!

Summary

All around Shen is a fantastic champ with shields an over time heal a taunt and MORE SHIELDS! Remember a few tricks like how if you e akali in her shroud she becomes visable and you can e over walls. With Shen map awareness, farming, and split pushing are what makes a great Shen. Try to practice these in normal then when confident go to ranked.
