I take precision because I don't always get attack speed from my build. Press the attack is super easy to proc from his auto resets on Q and on titanic Hydra. I take bone plating and second wind to increase the odds of winning trades in lane.

The offensive build is great if you are ahead and you team is fairly tanky without you. I wouldn't recommend it if you aren't ahead in some capacity. The defensive build is great when ahead and behind. When in doubt, you can't really go wrong with the defensive build!

Trundle gets all his damage from his Q, so you want to max it first. His w also gives him more mobility and damage, letting him demolish towers with W,Q combined. His pillar is extremely strong but doesn't gain very much of a benefit levelling it early.

Trundle is an excellent dualist. He can 1v1 almost any champ is the game! He can shred towers too making him a split pushing monster. His pillar can get incredible picks when placed well, and his ult can make the biggest tank on their team get melted pretty fast, making him also a pretty good team fighter. Always look to pillar players off at choke points, and between turrets and walls to create an almost perm cc like effect. Also ult the tankiest person on their team because that gives the best stats value.

Pros:
Excellent split push potential.
Fast.
Tanky.
Good DPS.
Insane play potential with pillar.
AD Steroid on Q.
Amazing ult for killing tanks.
Mechanically fairly simple other than pillar.
Sets up ganks nicely with pillar.

Cons:
Can be kited
No reliable hard cc.
No hard engage
No way to get over terrain.

Very easy to last hit with because of his auto attack reset and AD steroid on his Q. Also naturally builds a Hydra!
