Intro to trynd

Trynd is a good champ imo in the top lane in league of legends.

Tryndamere is a well known split pusher and good dueler.

Tryndamere can get early crits, Fast rotations, Quick Towers.

Tryndamere is the split push king.

Tryndamere's Abilities

Passive:What it does is pretty self explanatory. Auto attack to get 5 Fury, Crit to get 10 Fury, And Kill a unit to get 10 fury.

It kinda synergies with itself. You get fury from auto attacking, you use that fury to get crits, which you use to get STRONGER auto attacks.

Fury is also used for tryndamere's Q.

Q:
Tryndamere's Q is a self heal. Not only that, It also gives you some AD.

The reason you max this first, is because it's almost just free AD stats. When you are trading, You lose health. When you lose health, You gain AD stats from your Q. This is why tryndamere is so good at 1v1's Early to late. At Q level 2, it's a free long sword.

The Q is also a self heal. The Heal amount increases as you have more fury. Using the Q Active is a decision in of itself. If you use your Q, you lose all your fury. You need to debate whether it's worth keeping your crit chance, or healing. In a trade, I like using the Q when you're close to dying. This is a bit if a surprise as you instantly get a small burst of healing that they might have not expected.

Lets be real though. They will definenly be waiting for it.

Your Q is also helpful for your lane sustain. You can just Q between minion waves to heal, and you dont need D blade first item.

W:

Your W is a slow and a Stat cut for your opponent.

If your opponent is running away from you, then your W will slow them. This lets you stick on people better, and land more auto attacks.

It is also a stat cut. It is good when your 1v1'ing someone. You can cut some of their AD. This lets you trade with them better. When you use it, It is like taking 2 Long Swords from your opponent for 4 seconds.

E:
Your E is a gap closer.

You can use it to get close to people. You can use it to run. YOU CAN USE THIS ABILITY OVER WALLS. You can use it for the wave clear. Your E is good for getting close to them. You want to be careful when using it during a 1v1. It deals less damage than your crit auto attack.

Using this to get onto people is good if your going to trade with them. The cooldown goes down if you crit. If you roll in and get some crits, your E Cooldown goes down.

Also a great ability for escaping while splitpushing with. You can go over walls.

HITTING A UNIT WITH THIS ABILITY GIVES YOU 2 FURY.

FINALLY, YOUR R:
So many people call Tryndamere so freelow because of this one ability. It lets you be 100% invincible for 5 seconds, And gives you fury.

This ability gets you down to a certain amount of HP. That lets your Q deal Substantial amounts of damage.

This ability also gives you some fury. This lets you Crit more.

I like using this ability when your almost dead. Watch out when using when your too low, as you might lag and die awkwardly.

You can use your R when you're CC'd.

OVerall, your kit is really good for staying in lane both early and late. The fury mechanic is a little hard to get used to because you need to recognize how essential it is to his kit. If you use your Q at a bad time, you can get caught for that.

Masteries, Runes and Items.

For masteries i go 18 0 12.

Fury for attack speed. You dont really need sorcery. E isnt that good :P

Fresh blood for damage on autos. PLEASE dont go ****ing feast. your q already heals you.

Natural Talent over Vampirism. Dont need healing from this, your Q is enough.

Bounty hunter And Battle stance are both ok. I prefer bounty hunter, but if your against a tank or something then battle stance can be ok too.

Battering Blows.

Fervor is what i usually take. Sure Warlords is ok, but after it was reworked, i took fervor every game because of how much it helps you over long trades.

For the resolve tree,

I take recovery. I dont build armor or Mr enough for other tree to be worth investing in.

I take Tough skin. The auto damage reduction is really helpful. More helpful than the tower thing and the move speed in river and bush.

I take Veterans Scars over Runic Armor. Sometimes runic armor is ok. Infact, i built it last season when i went Warlords every game because of the healing from it and my old rav hydra rush.

I take fearless over the other two. Dont take perserverence, you have Q. I dont take insight because i buy ionian boots.

18 12 0 can be ok too if you go assassin and merciless, But i prefer the tank stats

For the runes, i like going Attack damage reds, Armor yellows, Cd Blues, 1 cd quint and 2 attack speed quints.

With this setup, i can get the ad from the reds like normal ad runes, Armor because most tops are armor, and i can get 10% cdr so i can get a clean round number when i get max cdr.

Taking Mr blues and 3 attack speed quints is ok too, It depends on what Feels good for you. I used to be ****ing ******ed and go over 20% attack speed, but i think that 2 attack speed quints is enough for the autos to not feel Jerky before i buy statik shiv.

Besides, the attack speed doesnt really matter after you buy the statik shiv. The CDR however really helps with your Q healing more often, Your E clearing the wave more, and being able to escape with your E over walls because of the CDR the runes give you.

For items, I like going Long sword refil first. You could start longsword 3 pots, but i dont really feel like that is needed because the extra potion wont help as much as having 2 more next time your in lane because of how you can Q and heal instead of needing to buy the extra pot,

If i get first blood in lane or get an early lead somehow, I like snowballing it with a Tiamat. With tiamat, i can shove the lane in, Take some jungle camps, Proxy, get vision over the enemy jungle, or do all kinds of things with the time i save with this item.

If i dont get a lead and go even or even behind, I buy a vampiric Scepter to try to survive the laning phase better and try to buy a zeal to get the attack speed and crit to farm and trade better.

I buy Statik shiv after Tiamat or Vamp Scepter. I dont need to upgrade the Tiamat yet, And the statik is really nice with its attack speed and wave clearing.
I also buy my Ionian boots around here.

Then i upgrade my vamp scepter into bork. IF i bought tiamat instead of Vamp scepter, then i buy Rav Hydra instead of Bork.

After the Rav hydra or Bork, I buy Black Cleaver Next. Black cleaver is really helpful for chasing people down because of the move speed i get from it.and the cdr that it gives realy helps too for my E. On top of all that, it gives me health.

Late game is kinda whatever after that. I usually buy IE if i get a lot of gold from split pushing. BT is nice too for getting lifesteal. I like BT over Deaths dance because burst doesnnt matter if i can just ult it.

The art of split pushing

So, split pushing is a ****ing masterpiece created over years of theorycrafting toplane. A long time ago, there was a high elo player that got there playing jax and splitpushing. At the time, no one knew how to deal with a player that was getting all of the side towers, and the rest of his team mid lane.

Now, the art of splitpushing has been evolving and growing. Lots of people who main top were able to grow and adapt splitpushing.

Split pushing is the art of pushing down towers and getting ahead in XP with the intent of surviving.

NEACE, Youtuber, Twitch Streamer, High Diamond - Master Trydamere player explains splitpushing very well in his split pushing information video

Playstyle

As tryndamere you shouldnt be a ****ing *****.

You should be playing to Win lane, Win game.

If you can win lane with taking ignite and level 2 cheesing with your crits, buy Tiamat, Push hard, Proxy, Take jungle camps, then your set and there is little their top laner and jungler can manage to do.

If you can take the lane and make the entire top lane yours, then you can make the entire team come on top lane like a ****ing school field trip. When you see that the enemy team is leaving mid and that they are coming top for an engage, use your move speed from statik and cdr from runes to get away. If you can successfully proxy and take camps from the enemy jungler, then you get a gold and xp lead at no loss. However, dying can be ok too. If your dying bot lane with 4 from the enemy team there, Your team can quicky take the baron and your death would not be in vain.

Early game, i like trying to get a cheesy kill with my ignite and crits.

If you dont manage to get an early lead, then you can just go the normal items, wait until your huge in the late game and win the game then.

As long as you dont feed the renekton 16/2 you will be ok.

Jungling

I mentioned it before, but jungling can also be a part of tryndamere.

Taking red buff or Blue buff away from the enemy jungler can be really mess them up. If a jungler like amumu or Diana loses their blue buff, it can mess up their early clears.

Taking a small raptor can be good too if you want to hit level 2 on the first minion wave.

HOW TO WIN LANE AGAINST X CHAMPION

Riven: Auto once/Twice, E away. Once she gets low enough, all in with ignite. Dont get poked too low and get forced out of lane.

Darius: Go for short trades, Dont get ****ing E'd by him. When he is low, All in with ignite

Renekton: Play safe, try not to die. You can try to get some poke in level 1 if he didnt level Stun. Dont get 50 fury enhanced Q'd.

Irelia: You win Early, You win late. You dont win mid game. Try to get a first blood.

Yasuo: Auto him when he E's toward you with minions. Let him auto you once for him to take minion damage then E away. After you do this enough times, All in with ignite.

Quinn: Try not to get poked out of lane. When you have 6, Wait until she E's then when its on cooldown you can fight because she has no excapes afterwards.

Gnar: Try to fight him when his jump is on CD. Dont get poked too hard. Dont get hit by his 3 hit passive.
