I'm pumparum. The monkey king himself. Kidding, although I have put a stupid amount of time into learning Wukong. I am M7 with 169,629 mastery points.

I was experimenting with different Wukong builds because I find divine sunderer an extremely boring item. Wukong is very versatile. If you need a tank on your team, sunfire is absolutely amazing on Wukong. Your E and R make it very easy to front line for your team while taking minimal damage. If you need to you can also purchase hullbreaker for split pushing. Just W next to a turret and spam Q on it until its gone. Assassin Wukong is also very good if the enemy has a very squishy team comp. Its mostly for jungle Wukong but I have used it top and it works wonderfully. Duskblade is my go to mythic for assassin Wukong because his kit is filled with dashes and his whole thing is being a trickster and faking people out.

As I talked about in the last chapter, Wukong does very well with sunfire. Most of the time you'll be in long fights top lane as tank Wukong, and the ramping damage works super well with his E attack speed. Divine sunderer is just good for bruiser Wukong because its good for every bruiser. Assassin Wukong takes duskblade because as I said, going invisible after kills works massively in Wukongs favor. You could go Eclipse for sustain but I just prefer duskblade.

No matter what you're building on Wukong, you almost always want to play super aggressively during the lane phase. Level 1 you can go in with your E and use the attack speed it gives you to get a very good trade, and even first blood sometimes.

As Wukong, you normally take short trades by Eing to your opponent, auto attacking, Qing, and almost instantly after Wing. If you time the Q, W correctly your clone will Q the opponent as well, just giving you a little bit more damage. For your all in combo its mostly the same, you just R right after you W. Wait out your R's entire duration before Qing and then recasting your R again. The Q will give you extra armor penetration from your passive. It is very important that you wait out your entire ult for maximum damage.

I love Wukong. I always have. I started playing him because he is a monkey and stayed with him for his super fun play style and versatility. I hope this guide at the very least helped you understand the monkey king a little better.
