Introduction

Hello my Name is Dario and I play Vayne for over a year and I have more then 450 games with Vayne. Vayne is a very very hard late carry because her Silver Bolts and your Tumble and Final Hour which gives you a hard out play potential.

Runes

Keystones

Press the Attack is also a very good keystone because the increased damage from all sources.

I would take Fleet Footwork against a hard matchup because it will give you very good sustain.

Other useful Runes

Triumph is also a very good Rune because it can real save you.

I would always take Legend: Alacrity because the increased attack speed.

You can take this Rune if you want to have more Life steal.

I would always take this Rune because it can help you alot against other carries.

Second tree

If you take Domination as second tree then you should go for Sudden impact because it will empower your Tumble damage.

If you take Domination as second tree then you should go for Zombie Ward because it will give you vision so you have more Control over the map.

If you take Sorcery as second tree I would take Nullifying Orb against a heavy AP team.

If you take dont take Gathering Storm you can also take Celerity because it will give you more mobility and a bit more AD.

Items

Doran's Blade is the best starting item vs bot lanes with strong all-ins. The extra HP makes it much harder for you to burst down, making you much stronger in early fights.

This should be the item you aim for on your first back, to give you some extra AD to last-hit with and increase the effectiveness of all the attack speed you'll be building afterwards.

I get these after B. F. Sword if I go back on around 1,100 gold, as the mobility and attack speed are great for bullying the enemy bot lane with your newfound AD from B. F. Sword.

You can optionally build these instead of Berserker's Greaves if the enemy team has high physical damage threats, especially if most of their damage is through auto-attacks. For example, a Draven ADC with a top lane Riven and a jungle Xin Zhao. Even more-so if they have an AD mid laner.

Vayne has no inbuilt waveclear besides auto-attacks so this item is an amazing purchase for her. It's also the burstiest Zeal upgrade and gives the most damage, making it a perfect purchase for Vayne.

As an auto-attack reliant ADC who builds crit, Infinity Edge is a huge powerspike for Vayne.

This should usually be your followup item to Infinity Edge to further increase the frequency of your crits through crit chance and attack speed. It also makes you an amazing duelist thanks to the Phantom Dancer passive, and increases your survivability vs divers in team-fights

This is a super strong item on ADCs right now because it gives damage and so much survivability for such a cheap cost (it's the cheapest item in an ADC build other than Boots). You'll basically want to build this as one of your full build items in every game right now, replacing either your Last Whisper upgrade or a lifesteal item depending on which you need more in a particular game.

When your Guardian Angel is on cooldown and you need to sell it and temporarily replace it with another item, you almost always want lifesteal from either Mercurial Scimitar or Bloodthirster. Which you take depends on how much CC the enemy team has, and how much you may require the extra beefiness of Bloodthirster's lifesteal and shield. An important thing to note is that there's a way to cancel knockups/knockbacks with Mercurial Scimitar, which involves using the Cleanse during the CC. That alone won't get rid of it, but once you've cleansed, it'll allow you to cancel the knockback/knockup by using Flash, or any kind of dash. So if you ever get caught by Dragon's Rage or Unstoppable Force while you have Flash or 90 Caliber Net up, with good enough reactions you can stay alive. In some cases Mercurial Scimitar is so important that you'll actually just straight up want to build it instead of Guardian Angel if skipping Last Whisper isn't an option.

A very strong defensive item when you're taking heavy AP damage in fights. You start off with Hexdrinker and can build it earlier on then just sit on it until you reach 6 items before upgrading it to Maw of Malmortius if it's more important for you to finish the rest of your build. Generally this replaces Guardian Angel, but it can replace your Last Whisper upgrade instead if you don't need armor penetration.

Spells

+

Flash and Heal has been the standard ADC summoner spell combination since possibly mid-season 3. In fact, Flash has been the standard summoner spell to take on almost every single champion since forever. It's always been indisputably the best summoner spell in the game, so there's nothing you can replace it with.
